They just lost another client.

Is disgusting how hungry for money this company is. They make me to change club just because I wanted to change my membership from 35 to 11 a month. They just going to charge you subscription fee, first and last month plus maintenance fee again. I been in LA fitness for 3 months, payed almost 300 total, now I need to change to a lower plan and I have to pay almost another 200. Be careful and mindful before sign in.
That’s how they take care of their client.
It’s ok I’m going another place and they just lost another client.

Poor customer relationship

Called ahead to check on parking. They said they offered validated parking but still had to pay. Then when I showed up they said I was supposed to call ahead and made me sit and wait. After waiting for ten minutes while watching the employees on their Instagram accounts, I asked again if I could go ahead and work out (since no one was going to talk to me about whatever they needed to talk to me about), they rolled their eyes and told me to go ahead.

LA Fitness Port Orange FL

LA Fitness Port Orange FL
Kaitlyn has all the qualities I generally looked for in a personal trainer.

1) loves what she does and it shows.

2) very active in seeking out new knowledge, latest modalities, then applying and teaching her clients to fit their individual fitness challenges.

3) I have been given a better understanding on how “my” body can perform and accel at the given point of time I’m currently experiencing. She helps me to comprehend not only balance but why and what muscles she is having me work in a clear and simply manner. I have been inspired and motivated with all my sessions. We are always striving to meet goals I have wished for.

4) Along with her very professional attire and engagement with her clients, I look forward to my sessions because of her positive upbeat attitude which helps me enjoy the hard work she develops for me to reach the results I’m looking for.

Esporta is Nasty!!!!

Esporta is Nasty!!!!! A division of LA Fitness, which is on Downey Blvd and South Street
Clean the pool area floors once a month. Should be everyday.
Locker room floors are always dirty, which tracks the dirt throughout the spa.
Could be so much better!!!!!!

Misrepresentation and Hurdles

In a high pressure, must sign now, sales pitch, a lot of promises were made and some details never mentioned. Cheap monthly costs were never clarified around an additional annual fee for example. Other paid services like personal trainers can be purchased but, because of a very booked calendar, never delivered. Old equipment sits idle and broken like cable machines and sauna. When you've had enough and want to execute the "cancel at any time", be patient again. "My manager will take care of this later today" has drawn out over another billing period and and email;

"Cancelling your membership is easily done by mailing in a request. Simply click on the link below and log in to your online account. If you don't already have an online account, it's easy to create one from this link too. Once you log in follow the steps to print out and mail in the cancellation form."

Log on, fill out form, print it, mail it and.... No idea.

This is NOT worth the value or the hassle.

AVOID LA Fitness

Over a year ago, I cancelled my LA Fitness Gym memberships for myself and my family. The associate at the gym argued with me for 15 minutes trying to convince me that I shouldn't cancel my memberships but finally relented. Now over a year later I start receiving monthly charges again from LA Fitness. I called my bank and had them deny the charges. A representative from a different LA Fitness Club, in Tempe Arizona, called to collect gym memberships. When I informed her that the memberships were cancelled over a year ago and that I never attended the Tempe AZ club and that it looks like fraud, she hung up. This is the level of horrendous customer service provided by LA Fitness. Save your money, there are so many fitness options available that no one should be forced to deal with such incompetence.
11/12/2021 Update - It now appears that the LA Fitness Associate at the Pembroke Pines Club that I attended never cancelled my membership and simply put it on hold AGAINST my instructions. Still more proof of the scam LA Fitness runs with memberships. After countless phone calls, they still have not cancelled my memberships. I have contacted an attorney. AVOID LA Fitness

Very poor service at LA Fitness (Signature club), Rockville, MD

Very poor service at LA Fitness (Signature Club). Asked three managers at membership service who couldn’t respond to my question about membership for the coming year. Had to wait for the ‘GM’. I waited. And when he came he summarily dismissed my simple question because he was with a blonde ‘potential new customer’. He asked me to wait outside the area even though I was wearing a mask and had enough distance. The issue is not that he didn’t answer my question, it is the dismissive way he acted. Am a black person who has been a member for several years now. Didn’t deserve this. Terrible customer service.

Great Gym to visit while visiting Greensburg, PA.

My wife and I were visiting family in Greensburg, PA. We were looking for a gym to workout at while in town. We located LA Fitness and spoke with Dave Paul once we arrived at the gym. Dave was accommodating and provided up with guest passes. The gym was similar to our gym at home and it was very clean. The gym also had a nice atmosphere. We will definitely visit the the gym whenever we are in town again.

WORST GYM EVER!!

WORST GYM EVER!!! DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM!!!! THEY ARE NASTY LIERS!!!
Back in May I signed up for a regular gym membership. Then Jay, (the personal trainer) talked me into signing up for a personal training plan. May I add (a senior citizens plan, when I'm 28 years old.) He had me quickly sign everything because he was in a rush to leave that afternoon. I am well aware that I signed a contract so I am responsible. However, it is rude of Jay to tell me "Well you signed it so now you have to pay!" Aside from the fact that he lied, he promised me a friends pass and I was supposed to be weighed every so often. None of this even happened and when I questioned the staff about it they did nothing. I then spoke to the manager and explained my issue he told me I can cancel the personal training with a doctor's note. I went ahead and got the note. Jay then comes to me and refuses to submit the note to corporate claiming corporate will not accept the note because it doesn't have the proper wording. If you ask me, he does not have the right to make that decision. Jay does not work for corporate. Corporate has to be the one to refuse my doctor's note.
With that, not that it is any of jay's or corporate's business, my note was from my neurologist. I suffer from seizures and have been since the age of seven. My doctor is currently changing my medication. Jay has no right to bully me into staying committed to a contract that he lied to me about in the first place.
I was originally a member of CKO Kickboxing when I lived in NJ. I never ever had an an issues with them and I was with them for over three years. I completely regret signing with LA fitness. The staff is rude and nasty and I dread going to their gym to work out every day. If I am paying for a gym I expect to be treated with respect and most importantly, I should be paying for a plan that is not going to put me at risk.

LA FITNESS has the worst cancellation…

LA FITNESS has the worst cancellation process in the history of gyms. It took me less than 5 minutes to sign up online, yet I have to put in leave at work to meet their 9-5 membership cancellation window. They only do cancellation Mon - Fri and at specific locations. Guess which location doesn't accept cancellations. Yes, the one I belong to.
Another option is to call in, have someone email you a link so you can go into your account, sift around for the form to then mail to them. LA Fitness pls DO BETTER!!!

BETTER BUSINESS PLS HELP!!!

They are better in taking money that…

They are better in taking money that providing customer services. I had to move permanently to my country due to Covid situation, just before LA Fitness reopened in July 2021 and LA fitness was closed for 9 months. Despite closure, I had to pay for the 9 months remaining on the contract for my son while my contract was ending in August 2021; Despite 10 calls waiting sometimes 20 minutes, I never had the manager from Toronto North York that just ignored me for several days. Disappointed and do not want to hear anymore about LA fitness. It took 1 month to get the cancellation effective and 2000 CAD to pay while I was available for the 9 months closed! Just a shame.

Terrible customer service and deceiving fees

Do not sign up with LA Fitness, they will charge you an annual fee even when the gym is closed due to the pandemic and you do not actually use it for one year. They also unfreeze your account and keep charging your credit card and when it declines they charge you a fee for every attempt, and they keep ringing it up to boost the amount of money they make from the declined card. They will cancel the account without paying off the fee so they just keep stealing money until you can pay it or go into bankruptcy. Local club managers claim they can't do anything and just tell you to come back with another card and head office tells you to go to the club and deal with the manager so the customer is just a ping pong ball getting passed back and forth while everyone washes their hands of the problem. They basically hold you hostage and refuse to let you go until you pay them off, but if you don't pay them off they just keep charging you like a loan shark. Go to any other gym to stay clear of LA Fitness. I will be making a complaint with the ministry of government and consumer services and with the better business Bureau and continue to post what kind of thievery they call a business that they're running.

Buyer beware!

Buyer beware!! You can sign up at any LA Fitness location any time day or night. BUT you can’t cancel your membership without jumping through some ridiculous hoops. You have to print a form at home, sign it and then take it to USPS post office and then send registered letter. CRAZY. Or you have to see a manager between 9 am and 5 pm Monday - Friday… so if you have a job you can never quit.

It’s very sad that a business customer retention strategy is to make it unbelievably hard to quit. Shows there’s something fundamentally wrong with the business and with their idea of customer service. They don’t care about customers they care about their money only.

LA fitness of Monroeville Pennsylvania.

LA fitness of Monroeville Pennsylvania.
This gym is the most unprofessional gym I have ever encountered!? I joined LA fitness and was talked into having a trainer for what I desired to accomplish. So I did. Three months into my membership my trainer quit and so did the person that signed me up. No one has bothered to call or return my phone calls to give me any information as to what actually happened or to even offer other alternatives. I have went in to speak to the operations manager for which I was told was not available.
I called numerous times, given my name and phone number and no one has bothered to show some courtesy/professionalism in order to keep me as a satisfied customer. I think it's an absolute shame and I am fed up that I am not able to speak to someone but yet I get a phone call about my payment being due. Really! I am demanding a refund for the months you have taken out of my account and still have not received a call back to rectify the situation. Buyers beware.
Sign... Appalled and disappointed.

The LA Fitness in Springfield Pa. has trash and
water bottles all over the floors. This gym is a dirty
and filthy facility. What a disgrace, early Sunday
morning at 8:00 am what a embarrassment of a
gym? LA Fitness should give out free memberships
here in Springfield, Pa. Delaware County. Consider
putting racquetball courts on the second floor maybe

LA Fitness in Union is a small but very clean gym! I would say the only cons I've found is that the staff can get a little rude sometimes but I know everyone has their days, so nothing personal! Other than that, amazing gym and it has all the equipment I need for my workout sessions!
