Went to Honda’s new location with a view to upgrading on a Honda jazz. Very surprised to find that the cars on the forecourt had no prices or info of any kind. Waited an age for assistance but no one available. Eventually had a very unsatisfactory sit down with a chap only to be told I’d need to put a deposit on a car to get one brought from another site in the group. Needless to say I wasn’t about to put a deposit on something I hadn’t even seen. All in all a disappointing experience. Guess I’ll find a car somewhere else.

Discarded Customer.
Purchased used car 18/09/25
Contacted Group Sales Director 29/10/25 to discuss the vehicle. Director on holiday until 07/11/25. No acknowledgement on his return from holiday. In conversation with sales 24/11/25 discussed concern regarding no reply from Group Sales Director. 01/12/25 Still no contact from Group Sales Director.
Very disappointed at "Can't be bothered."
Way of conducting business.
Great Customer Service
From the moment I arrived to test drive the vehicle, until the final hand over, Chris Weilding and the team at Lancaster Honda went above and beyond to make the experience as smooth as possible. Even when I couldn't complete collection due to circumstances beyond their control. All in all Chris and the team were fantastic and I will be returning for another vehicle in the future

Ignored for nearly a year
We purchased a demo Honda H-RV nearly a year ago.
Great service on sale. But. Then the problems started.
They only provided 1 key fob. They promised one would be ordered for us, but it may take awhile as they were "on back order".
12 months later.
No fob provided, as promised.
Originally, emails were responded to with the same "back order" message. Then the mails were just ignored.
If you phoned, people you spoke to promised to investigate, and call back - often "by 5pm that day".
Not one call received.
Then, or if the blue, email received saying fob was on the way. When received, had to take it to a local dealer to get it programmed. We did.
Dealer looked at it, said immediately was NOT for our car. It was a different car model applicable, and was obviously a "second hand unit" - the key was nothing like the key on our unit! He said it was clearly a second hand unit, based on condition, scratches, etc. Not programmable for our car.
Phone call to speak to guy who sent it not returned. Emails ignored.
When we spoke to the local dealer about ordering one, he said it would take around 2-3 WEEKS. Don't know where the long back orders came from.
Their non service is great. Worst I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
I tried to complain to head office of Cox Motor group. Also total lack of response.
Have now reported it to the Motor Industries Ombudsman, who are takiing it up for me.
PATHETIC DOES NOT BEGIN TO DESCRIBE IT!
First class service
Had my car in for service and mot.
Fantastic service Sandra and the team kept me fully informed throughout the process.
I left the car with them and went out for a couple of hours.
I received a video from the mechanic telling me of advisories and what if any work need doing.
The service included full valet both in and outside the car.
Great service I actually signed for a service plan, pay monthly by direct debit so don’t have the cost of service and mot on the day.
Highly recommend Lancaster Honda
And they have the best lattes I have ever had from a vending machine.

Used car from Cox group, multiple issues
Purchased a peuegeot 3008 in February from Cox automart but it was availible at Lancaster Honda. Rang and attended within about 30mins, was shown around vehicle by Kyle Gardner whom was very pleasant and once we had initially seen the car he left us to look around. We took for a test drive and agreed a purchase.
Advised vehicle would be serviced and it also was given an MOT. No pressure sales tactics and Kyle wasn't pushy with any extras offered. It took around 3 weeks to pick the car up ans it was actually being MOTd at the time we were coming to collect... which was a little unusual after 3 weeks to leave it until the day to MOT. It was given 2 new tyres to pass the MOT to pass.
Within a few days of having the car I noticed a metal on metal knocking/clunking front he car. Rang and was put through to the service department. Booked in a week or 2 later when was availible between work and childcare. The vehicle was left and returned with no found issue suggesting it was the "age or the car" wad the exact terms used. I am not clueless about cars and suggested suspension isn't "age related" parts can be replaced.
I employed my own mechanic whom found a perished drop link and also advised me the front brake discs and pads were in a horrendous condition and in his opinion shouldn't of passed an MOT. I raised the issue with Honda and also completed an official complaint form from the COX website. I was contacted by Honda managment and offered a refund on the cost of replacing droplinks as well as being advised the brakes would be replaced both as good will gestures.
Brakes were replaced new front discs and pads which I was grateful of but knocking remained even after droplink changed. It was found inner wnd outer tie rod ends had good amount of play and also the balljoints had play. The ball joints were an advisory in October 2024 MOT but not on the MOT conducted by themselves nor did the brakes or any other suspension play come as an advisory.
When the balljoints were being replaced today (8/3/25) the mechanic asked me to come and look at the disc in front drivers side and found the brake line to be twisted! Which in worst case could of cause the front drivers pads to not engage if fluid were to come restricted. But also found a broke and misaligned screw on the discs.
The sales experience with Kyle was great but the need to our s formal complaint in, wait 2 weeks for a good will refund on parts that were plainly and obviously broken but not picked up by their mechanics in regard to the knocking and perished brakes. And the cherry on the cake was the poor instillation of something as basic as a disc and ensuring brake line was not twisted on refitting the calliper. Emails gets ignored unless you send more to chase managment up.
If like me you think buying from a large dealer means quality inspections as promised I would think again. I didn't expect to be spending several hundreds to get issues fixed within a moth or 2 or ownership. Especially after a "thorough inspection" as COX imply every used car has.
Just wasted an hour of my life
Just wasted an hour of my life, offering all sorts of deals for my MG as they needed second hand cars ( they are also the local MG dealer) book an appointment and as I expected it’s just waffle to get you to sign up for a more expensive car. Brew machine is pretty good though!
Think twice before buying a car from Lancaster Honda
Lancaster Honda sold us a car that was advertised at a low mileage but when it is was delivered there was an extra 17000 miles that appeared out of nowhere. Also, they failed to fix the cars issues.......like a faulty tyre that was meant to be replaced.......it was just pumped up and the wheel nuts were not tightened, so when I drove on the motorway the wheel nearly came off.........my opinion is PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY, there are better cars sale companies around who will provide a better service.
With regards to their reply on our Google review.......I chose not go through the whole unpleasant experience we had with this company but we thanked them for not denying that they advertised a car with low mileage then delivered it with an extra 17000 (goodwill of £100 was offered, we had to fight for £500). If it was up to me the car would have been returned but luckily for them my partner liked the vehicle even with its faults. With regards to sorting out the issues the car came with……..should these not have been noticed when Lancaster Honda completed their ‘CMG Group autosmart check list’ before selling the car?. Also, what about the back wheel almost coming off on the motorway because the wheel nuts had not been replaced properly?………I did thank Lancaster Honda for sorting out new wheel nuts for us, at least it was a brief show of good customer service even though we had to pick them up from another Honda dealer
Looking to pay £600 for a £300 service?-here's the perfect place!
Put a Honda Jazz in for service, 3 years old, 18,000 miles, bought from Lancaster Honda. Expected it to be around £300, a standard service on a low milage, quite new car. On collection, the bill was over £600!!!!!!!
Full aircon service, all wiper blades replaced, brakes 'stripped & cleaned', fuel additive, the list just goes on & on, all unnecessary on a 4 year old, low milage car, unless of course it was in an awful state when I bought it from them?? Overall, a complete ripoff, avoid at all costs!!!!!!
If only all salespeople were as good
We picked up our motability car a few weeks ago. Louis Higgins was the salesman wwe dealt with. He was professional and helpful throughout and couldn't do enough to help.
I called in today with a few questions and again Louis was most helpful and answered all my questions.
If only all salesman were as good as Louis.Higgins.We have recommended him to a number of.people as we were so impressed.
