I plucked out Newport Land & Law from a Google Search and contacted them based on their previous good reviews. I required solicitors to handle our house purchase in England whilst we were selling our house in Scotland (2 different legal systems). I initially spoke with Anna Newport (boss) who confirmed they had the capacity to take on the job and provided us with a very reasonable quote. Once onboarded, we had the lovely Axsa who went above and beyond (even calling at 7pm with news and updates) to carry out the seemingly impossible and ensured the exchange and completion on the house we were buying occurred on the same day as the exchange and completion on our house in Scotland - and kept us fully updated whilst we were following the removals truck 400 miles down the road! Plus, she dealt with a less than helpful vendor's solicitor in the process!
I cannot recommend Newport Land & Law enough and will certainly be coming to them for any legal requirements now we are in England.
P.S. Anna's out-of-office email was worth the fee alone! :)

A very personal and professional service. James Naish knew what he was doing; far more so than other solicitors that I have used for conveyancing.
The difficult aspects of the conveyance were processed in a very straightforward manner. Certain aspects of the process required him to 'fight his corner' against his fellow professionals and he overcame all difficulties 'with honours'.
Altogether, a relatively pain-free experience, but one which could potentially have been extremely tricky. I would use his services again.

I used this company to sell a London flat. The buyer’s solicitors were ‘difficult’ but due in small part to extra on mine and my solicitor’s part, we navigated through successfully. Communication was open and regular and I found the supporting materials they supplied helpful to understand the process.

Newport land and law made the process of buying our first home as smooth as possible. They worked diligently to efficiently coordinate our completion on our behalf, and actively chased third parties who might have needed a bit of a kick. I would definitely recommend Newport Land and Law to anyone seeking to keep stress to a minimum amongst all the anxiety and upheaval of moving house, or purchasing one for the first time.
