Wonderful Meal
Absolutely wonderful meal last night. Starter main and pudding were all delicious as was the wine. Great location and staff were all lovely.

Absolutely wonderful meal last night. Starter main and pudding were all delicious as was the wine. Great location and staff were all lovely.
We were 2 couples who had gone there to celebrate a special birthday. The food was delicious and staff attentive, however the disappointment came when we had to pay the bill. We had told a member of staff that each couple had gift tokens before we even ordered they were for £85.00 and £90.00. We were told we couldn’t have a bill for each couple, must be the only restaurant which can’t do this, then the bill came to slightly less than the value of the tokens. We expected to receive a gift token for the amount left, admittedly it wasn’t a great deal only about £10.00 but were told that couldn’t be done. It was only because we insisted that this had happened in various restaurants that we were offered 2 cakes. I don’t know what would happen if we had £20.00 or £30.00 left , would the restaurant have pocketed that? Not impressed, I had bought the voucher for our friends will never buy one from this establishment again.
The food was delicious! I really enjoyed dining here and I hope others do too! I recommend the Calamari as it is a very good dish!
I’ve just ordered and just about managed to drink 2 small cappuccinos from this establishment which cost £7.50. Sadly not only were the coffees cold but for £7.50 I would at least expect chocolate sprinkles as standard, plus a biscotti biscuit. Overall I certainly believe it was not worth the money and as such I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
The few reviews here for Langlands Brasserie are incredibly out of date, so here's mine from lunch yesterday. We were 100% happy with *everything* - and that's not just because the sun was shining....
Langlands Brasserie is set on the western, sheltered end of Langland Bay, Gower, Wales, above the beach with a car park and accessible path directly behind it. It has a terrace where food and drinks are served overlooking the bay, enhanced with plantings of flowering rosemary and sea thrift.
It has recently opened after being closed for a while for a refresh and we were delighted to see the serving staff we've known for several years were still there plus some new staff, equally welcoming efficient and friendly.
Go to the website to see the menus but we had beef short rib bourguignonne with mash which was absolutely knock-out fall-apart tender and delicious -with loads of sauce. For desserts, the creme caramel with spiced apple and almond crisp was lovely too - and topped with a viola flower.
This is such a good restaurant - not over-priced either - with great food, prompt service and superb views over the bay. We were having dinner there early one evening when, at high tide, an Atlantic grey seal popped up in the sea really close to shore. Unforgettable!
A disappointing meal for us today. The chips were indigestible and the service very slow. Previous visits were far better.
This used to be a really good eating place but sadly not any more. Whilst the location is great to look across Langland bay, the menu has become mundane and lacklustre and the prices have become more expensive. Whilst the food is cooked ok it lacks flavour or interest and other eateries in the Mumbles area have become better places to dine out. The waiter staff were polite and attentive.
