Laserbody MD - Be Very Cautious- Do NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT WITHOUT READING THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS

A one star rating is generous based on the experience I had with this organization. The “owner” Ashley is unreasonable to deal with. If you question her decision and want to speak with a higher authority she will not provide any information on an alternative representative. It is almost impossible to reach or locate any of her Supervisors as the company appears to have many roadblocks to stop a patient/ client from speaking to anyone else but her. Ashley is not a Doctor and after countless web searches I was unable to find the name of any Doctor who oversees the Laserbody MD franchise. Read all the complaints on the BBB and you will see a regular theme of people being pressured into services without given time to think. In my case I ended up getting a full contract cancellation because I disclosed a medical condition on their forms but was sold a service I couldn’t do. Ashley was adamant about not refunding/cancelling my contract but was happy to let me choose another service. When I declined I was told that almost no one, even some cancer patients, are denied refunds (wow right?). Due to Ashley’s unwillingness to reason based on her staffs pressure sales and inappropriate service selection I was forced to seek out and discuss my situation with A senior staff member of Laserbody MD’s Finance Company (Lendcare). After many lengthy discussions with Lendcare, and needing the assistance from my Oncologist from Sunnybrook Hospital to intervene, The contract was eventually cancelled! This process was very time consuming and stressful to say the least. My best advice for anyone considering using Laserbody MD is purposefully leave your credit cards, cheques and cash at home for your initial consultation. Do not sign anything and walk away even if you like the offer. From my experience that amazing offer they want you to sign asap will be on the table again the next day or two, or at another clinic. Please give yourself time to research other companies as well that are more transparent than Laserbody MD. Choose a clinic that has an actual Doctors name on the door rather than a secretive web of who’s in charge and accountable if anything goes wrong.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. I am not sure how they are still allowed to operate but more people will be victims if they’re not stopped. They do not honour what they promise verbally and their sales reps trick you in signing contract you do not get a chance to read and then will disappear and Lendcare is allowing them to use them to scam customers. My issue is still not resolved and it’s been over a year now

Do not visit this clinic ever

Do not visit this clinic ever. Their policies are unacceptable. They just trick customers into agreement with are beneficial for them only. Final sales and binding agreement is there worse policy. They are the ones who first introduce you to a financing company and later when asked for cancellation they say that it’s a third party contract which they can’t cancel. I mean how can any company do this even if the customer calls in for cancellation just after an hour of signing when no payment is deducted. I have contacted the financing company as well and there is no just thing that the customer cannot cancel the payment plan or the agreement it’s just the clinic who doesn’t want to process the refund. Cheating practices to earn money. They won’t run longer if they stick to same policies.

My experience with LaserBody MD…

My experience with LaserBody MD (Mississauga – Southdown location) has been extremely upsetting and stressful. I originally went in for a consultation about a different treatment, but they recommended CoolSculpting instead. I specifically asked several times during the consultation whether there were any risks, and I was told it was completely safe and non-invasive.

When I arrived for my first appointment, I was given a waiver to sign that listed hives, allergic reactions, and swelling as possible side effects — none of which had been mentioned earlier. I have cold urticaria, a condition where exposure to cold can cause hives and even anaphylaxis. When I explained this to the staff, two employees told me I was not a suitable candidate, and one even said I could get a refund.

Later, I was contacted and told that I was still considered “safe” for treatment and that a refund would not be provided. I was repeatedly pressured to go forward, even though I explained my condition multiple times and shared my safety concerns. My intake coordinator minimized the risks and was dismissive, even telling me that if I wanted to take legal action, that was my choice — which I found incredibly unprofessional and insensitive.

I escalated the matter to their call center supervisor, who said they would review my case with management and get back to me. It’s now been weeks with no follow-up, and every time I call, I’m told someone will “call me back,” but no one ever does.

This whole situation has left me feeling ignored, unsafe, and disrespected. It’s clear to me that they care more about closing sales than about patient safety or ethics. I would strongly urge anyone considering this clinic to do thorough research, ask detailed questions, and make sure every possible risk is explained in writing before committing to anything.
