Procedure was fine, The business side is shady

The business side of it is shady. Don't buy any of the extras and add ons they try to sell you because they will not honor any of it. I wasted $1000 ($500/eye) getting the "Lifetime Assurance Plan" only for them to tell me that because of their own problems, they were no longer honoring it. I don't see what their financial problems have to do with the fact that I already paid for a service that they are no longer honoring, even though their website says they still have the Lifetime Assurance Plan in effect. Also it takes weeks for anyone to get back to you about a single message.

The doctor and nurses and scheduling was perfect so don't worry about the actual procedure.

But if you ever need a touchup (which most people who get LASIK will need one within 5-10 years, that's just a fact), you'll have to pay for a whole new procedure.

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!! I went in to have my nearsightedness corrected. everyone was very nice to me and took me through the process. I went in at 47 years of age and had not needed reading glasses as of yet in life. When I went in for the consultation the doctor asked me if I liked the mono vision which would allow me to never need reading glasses, the glasses simulator allowed me to try it out and I did not like it. It set off my Vertigo horribly. So the doctor adjusted the simulator and said can you read this paper? I said yes he advised I would not need reading glasses for a while then and everything should be fine and I was showing 20/15 vision. I was so excited to have the surgery done! I am no post op 6 weeks and I cannot see anything clearly at arms length. When I called in about this they said oh yes we went over this with you in your consultation. I said you most certainly did not. I work with paperwork all day which I cannot see, my food is blurry, my phone is blurry, my nieces face is blurry!!! I was driving and trying to read GPS I had to choose to see the road or put on a pair of readers and see my phone. AND NOW I cannot wear contacts to correct readers, so I am stuck in glasses 24/7, where at lease before I had a choice of glasses. They have actively ruined my life and just want to keep offering me BS excuses. DO NOT DO THIS if you want to see anything close to your self not through readers for the rest of your life.

I tried to work with them

I tried to work with them, but nothing. I had Lasik back on Dec 20th, 2023. 6 months later my vision went poor and reverted back to original state. I left messages and called several times to have this addressed. Finally had someone reach out to reschedule me and they found out my eye site got worse. Since then, nothing. I paid for a lifetime warranty and my eye site is still bad and no one from San Antonio, TX office has done anything about it. I've lost patience and now will file a complaint and ask i receive a full refund and put a suit against this office for negligence. BBB and HIPPA will be notified along with attorney on these issues since they cannot honor their commitment to their patients.

Don't do it.

Don't do it! That's all I can say. I waited a long time to do Lasik because I worried about the procedure. But I finally decided to do it because many of my friends and family had 100% success with it. My uncle used the most expensive surgeon he could find, but he counseled me to use the cheapest because "it's just machine that does the surgery". So I went with Lasik Plus because they were cheap. YIKES! First off, they got me in with an ad that advertised $300 per eye. Of course I didn't qualify. My price was thousands. I told them I was concerned about undiagnosed dry eye because I rubbed my eyes all the time. The doctor said "I see no sign of that". I made the appointment. When I got in to the surgeon (who I'd never met before...he only does the actual surgery), he asked if I had any last minute questions or concerns. I mentioned again the possibility of undiagnosed dry eye. He brushed it off. I was still a little worried. He got mad and asked, very sternly, "do you want to do this, or not??" I should have walked out. Instead I did it. They are supposed to give you eye drops that make you not blink, but my eyes wanted to blink the whole time. When they cut the flaps, they completely cover your eye and you are in darkness. You can't see anything, so you can't really know what your eyes are doing. He yelled at me again while I was in complete darkness: "You really don't want to move your eyes right now!!" I didn't know I was! Then, after the surgery, he stood me up and said "what time is it on that clock?" I said "I don't know, everything is blurry." He assured me I just needed eye drops and rest. I continued to go for follow-ups for many weeks because I needed tons of eye drops and my vision was mostly blurry. Finally, they said "you're going to have to follow up with your eye doctor because the surgery went great." It's now many years later and I need constant eye drops. I go through a box a month ($50). That's $600 per year when my yearly glasses used to cost $100. Apparently, my eyes no longer make one kind of tear because of the surgery. So they are VERY dry. The surgery was a success, but because of the lack of tears, my eyes are blurry a lot. And when they get too dry, they HURT. At night, when we sit down to watch TV and they are tired, I usually have to put drops in 5 or 6 times before bed. When I wake up in the morning, I immediately have to put drops in because my eyes hurt. If you've read this far, I would not have this surgery if I knew what I know now. It is like 97% successful, but if you're one of the 3 people in 100 who has issues, your eyes are messed up for life. I'm very thankful that my issue is only severe dry eye. Some people have lost their sight. I will never advise anyone to get Lasik. And Lasik Plus is just the worst. I wish I had sued them when I could. I didn't realize you had to do it within a certain amount of time. (Trustpilot now makes you enter a date and it has to be within a year! My experiene was 5 or 6 years ago.)

Bait and switched with no recourse

They signed me up for a payment plan and promised 0% interest only to find out they charged me interest on my account for many months. They refused to do anything about it. Fraudulent company with staff that have no idea what they are doing and the customer gets screwed because of it. Save yourself the head ache and go somewhere else.

WOW wish I would have read before!

WOW! I wish I had seen these reviews before I went in to have my proceedure done. Almost 2 months and I can’t see. Seems to be an issue with the right eye. I have called and seen the doctor several times but they keep telling me I need more time. However when I went in they told me I SHOULD be fully healed within a week. I work with special needs children I must be able to see what they are doing at all times.
Needless to say I drive to work and hour early so I can go slow and don’t have to worry about traffic and do not wave at me because I can not see you. So frustrated and sad!

If I could give them zero stars I…

If I could give them zero stars I would!
I had Lasik performed a year ago at the Wethersfield, CT office. I have been having issues with my distance vision since day 1, especially when driving. I have been reporting this at every follow up appointment, being told it takes a year to ‘fully heal’, and to keep applying moisturizing eye drops. I just had my 1 year exam by my regular eye doctor, who confirms I still require a prescription for both reading (expected) as well as distance. I can not read street signs when driving. So I need not only glasses, but sunglasses also. I payed a lot of money to not have to wear glasses, and am being told that I still do. I had my doctor submit the form for ‘enhancement procedure’ (not a revision, even though there is supposed to be a lifetime guarantee). I was just informed that the vision deficit is not ‘bad enough’ to qualify, and once they get worse, then I can reapply. Biggest waste of money! I spent thousands, and am still having to spend hundreds every year on prescription glasses. 😡

lasix plus pressured me into purchasing…

lasix plus pressured me into purchasing their lifetime guarantee option.i relented and paid 3000 dollars, figuring it might have future value.now that I need the procedure redone, lasix plus refused.the reason given, was the start of age related cataracts.their knowledgeable eye doctor stated age related cataracts start at age 45.i had the procedure done at age 50.how ethical is that?what's worse was the 8 weeks, many calls, and e mails,I wasted trying to get an answer from lasix plus.their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Vision remains blurry

The only reason I am giving this facility a 1 is that most of their personnel are nice, but disorganized at best. Other than that they would receive a zero. I had my original eye procedure 1 1/2 years ago. It took almost 8 months for them to do an enhancement of ONE eye. Never telling me on the initial consultation that I may need multiple procedures due to my prescription. I am still waiting to get the enhancement on my other eye. My appt for my enhancement was scheduled, but because it has been so long since the original surgery they cancelled me on the day of surgery telling me my eye is too unstable. I have been straining my eye because one eye was "fixed" and they other eye is not. This has created headaches and possibly injury to the good eye. They are not proactive in scheduling appts, do not return phone calls and disorganized. They do not call you and inform you of the need for multiple eye visits. You sit around in the office as long as 1 hr or longer before you are seen. When the offices opened back up post CoVid they told me they needed to see initial surgeries first (most likely because they are paying customers) and would call and schedule my visit. They never did. I finally scheduled this appt, only to have them cancel me the day of the surgery being told to come back in a month for another eye exam. Another delay. Good luck to you if you decide to use them. My vision is still blurry causing me to still need to use my glasses to see correctly.

Shameless

I went to the Lasik Plus in Plano,TX and after my surgery, they acted very mediocre and unprofessional.Till this day my right eye doesn’t see better than it did before and my left eye still has the blood clot scarring which they lied and said would be gone along time ago.I lost my job due to them because I couldn’t get an appt quick enough to keep going to work and taking random breaks to tend to my itchy eyes which I later found out were just not healed and that they should’ve asked to check up on me after the last visit where they found out the same but they let me go back home and to work. The last time I went to the location,I went there and told them to tell the truth of my work report but they ushered me out all because they couldn’t tarnish their already questionable image. They have bad reviews on their page.I am not the only one.On my work report, they kept saying they didn’t prescribe me anything and that I was fine since the day after the Lasik surgery which is clearly just something they did to seem like they did their job well so they didn’t want a bad record.Shameless, unprofessional s they were especially the Indian doctor who said it was my fault that my eyes were the way they were because I stopped using medication.Another lie infact because I took a pic of the whole prescription they gave me and they specifically told me to discontinue it after 2 weeks and upon googling it was because the 2 drops could cause damage if prolonged.Something she didn’t tell me when she prescribed them both to me again long after the 2 weeks. The whole place is a pity..no customer service after you get the Lasik done they just start avoiding you giving you a run around on phone so I always had to be physically in the hospital which is why the work loss came into play ontop of the fact that my job didn’t see the issue I had with my eyes because they falsified the report.
