The host was very unwelcoming and rude on the phone. We were apparently conversing with ‘Sophia’ but the responses were cringy AI and when called a very rude man answered.
The check in details weren’t sent to us on time and when we tried to contact them on booking.com and calling multiple times we had no answer for at least an hour.
The host didn’t know what code opened what door and was very rude on the phone. He gave us the multiple wrong codes and seemed like there were multiple codes for one door which makes no sense. He had no clue - when we asked what code he was saying ‘this might be the code?!?’
He then unlocked it from his phone or PC without being there in person which was unsettling and creepy if I’m honest.
At check out time it felt like we were being rushed out and I was very uncomfortable with the way we were spoken to.We had paid for an extra hour and even text about this before hand (but of course no answer).
Then we had two men come in and start to open doors which was weird as we were still there and I felt unsafe. Also lots of men just standing around the property which was quite weird and was uncomfortable as a women.
Would love to know who is running this place and how the hell it has any good reviews!!! Host was so rude, well this man who never introduced himself ,and was definitely not called Sophia. Shut it down.

We stayed at Green Cottage Wirral for…
We stayed at Green Cottage Wirral for my daughter’s 13th birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was honestly the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in!
The swimming pool was a huge highlight, and the hot tub made the stay feel extra special. The surrounding lake and scenery are stunning and made it such a peaceful, relaxing place to celebrate.
It was the perfect place for a birthday getaway and we made some lovely memories there. I would definitely recommend staying here and we would happily return in the future.

Clean and in a beautiful location
Clean and we'll stocked with all you might need to cook etc with fabulous views. The only main downside is the road running past the front door. It's noisy day and night and the windows don't block out the noise. The decor is tired in the bedrooms and the lighting is quite dark but the beds are super comfy. Careful getting out of bed on the side near the door as the ceiling is very low. However the house is centrally located for both walking and cycling routes and the local area is beautiful. Almost as soon as you cross the road you are in lovely countryside. There isn't really a garden and with the proximity of the road it would be a no for children and dogs for me. For ir adults who come to walk or cycle it's perfect.
