Won't be back

We have stayed here numerous times but that's the last.

Made an order, told an item wasn't available and 20 mins later the table next to us ordered and received what we were told wasn't available.

What's wrong, didn't my wife and I appear deserving enough of the dish....did we look like we couldn't afford it or something?

Simply, don't lie to customers about the availability of food items on the menu and then give a fake smile when you take £187 from me just for what we spent in the bar.

What an experience…

Went last night out for a drink with my husband, after a long long time. We waited 25 min on the table and finally a server came to us, not to check if we wanted something, not even say Hi or any greetings, just for telling us they don’t serve cocktails and that’s it, he left, letting us with a gut feeling we are not welcome . After we waited another 10 minutes and no one came to assist us, we went and ordered at the bar. In the next 10 minutes , while trying to enjoy drink and good conversation with my husband, 3 times the server came to check if we wanted something else, not a smile and not a nice tone of voice but same no conversation just” do you want anything else??!!” , even if he saw we still have drinks in our glasses. On the third time I said to my husband we have been here less than an hour I don’t understand…let’s just go and have a drink in another place ! When we was almost at the door, the server comes after us telling us where we think we go, we need to pay…
I said to him, darling we ordered and paid at the bar, you didn’t serve us just annoyed us.
He just turned around and left saying nothing!
Wow. What an experience…

Worst ever bar service

Rooms fine. 14th floor bar looks lovely but service is worse than rubbish. I’ve literally been sitting here (as I write this review) for 15 mins and the two so called staff have not even acknowledged I exist. Was the the same before dinner earlier on. Really avoid unless you enjoy very poor service as they won’t serve you at the bar but rather want everyone to sit at tables and then ignore you. Incredible how just ignored at 10.10 pm k- never again

Poor attitude, lack of stock and rain running down wall of reception area.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told the room was ready but there was NO reservation for lunch. After some discussion , they finally found us a table , not difficult based on the empty tables around us during our time there. We ordered Cocktails to start with direct off their menu, it turns out, they didn't have the full ingredients for the cocktail so I had to chose another. We then ordered lunch along with a £38 bottle of wine, we were then told they didn't have that in stock either and offered two alternatives, one at £86 and another at £35 that I had not heard of before, I told them I would like to try £35 but they would not allow me to do so. At this point, I asked to speak to the manager, the waitress fetched her and had clearly told her the situation before arriving, I was met with a stern faced woman who clearly had no interest in resolving the situation. After our disagreement , we decided not to order any wine with our meal. Not happy but not going to pay out £35 for wine I did not know anything about. The starter was served but then we waited over 30 minutes for the main course, clearly not impressed with the service or the restaurant staff. We were now running late for the theatre so we had to skip dessert. Not a great memory and certainly not going to return. We would have had four desserts and two bottles of wine (four of us) so a rough calculation has cost them £116 due to poor attitude and lack of stock. With water cascading in the side of the building in the reception area, with buckets and dust sheets trying to mop up the water, you would think they would need every penny to repair it.
