First time to have been disappointed…
First time to have been disappointed with LAURA. I bought a dress online, and although I know my size, it turned out that the dress did not fit me well, and they are saying it is a final sale; they would not exchange it for another item or give a gift card. Absolutely ridiculous when selling online. You do not get to try it until you receive it, and this treatment, and you cannot exchange it for another item!!!! Beware!!!
NEXT TIME YOU WILL HEAR THAT ALL OF THE STORES ARE CLOSING!!! THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH WHAT I AM SEEING ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ONLINE!!!

On April 30, 2025 I shopped at a Laura's store in London, ON. for a dress to wear to a wedding. The sales associate who assisted me was polite, very helpful and I narrowed my choices down to one. I asked the salesperson if there were any upcoming sales since Mother's Day was just around the corner. Twice she said, "let me talk to my manager" since I was hesitating to make the purchase in the event there would be an upcoming sale. After the second conversation she had with her manager, she returned saying there was a sale beginning May 8th. and if I returned that day with my sales receipt (no need to bring the dress) they would adjust the price. So on May 8th. I made the 30 minute drive back to the store in order to obtain the price adjustment. To my surprise (and I must admit irritation) the only option was to give me the refund on a gift card....store policy. This was never mentioned at the time I was making the purchase and I believe I would have postponed buying until the following week. I have spoken to Laura's head office but to no avail. The only repeated response was "I'm very sorry". Unfortunately my experience does not foster good customer care in my opinion and as I said to the person at head office....."in the future, Laura's will be at the bottom of my list when I am shopping for women's clothing. The majority of retail places in my experience adjust the price and the difference is repaid in the same form in which it was initially paid for. There are times when a sale item is permitted to be returned but the refund will be in the form of a gift card. Always, this is clearly stated before the purchase is made. In this case I was not returning the dress and I had purchased it at full price.
Laura’s cross iron horrible management
See my Google review. It’s all good if you buy. They will lie to customers just to get them to buy. Then won’t accept returns. They lie so they won’t accept returns. Don’t just happen to mum, but countless other women. And that’s just the ones who wrote a review.
Laura - Worst Cashiers to Ever be Found
Laura Canada as a company has the most miserably rude clownish cashiers to ever be seen at any store. At my most recent visit at Laura Canada at Vaughan Mills, I requested one cashier to help me find another size in a top. She said they didn't have it in store and she can 'order it for me', so I explained I live far from that location and will order it myself online. I also politely thanked her. When she saw she wasn't gonna make any sales and commission of two cents off me that she was desperate for, she made the most disgustingly nasty expression OVERTLY right in my face. A sound employee would have responded something like, "sure, that works!" but the old caucasian female worker who looked like her face was going to explode from botox just made a moronic expression in response. They somehow feel they are entitled to get their menial commission because of you, sorry, I am no longer supporting Laura and Melanie Lyne store cashiers and will not be the reason they have a job at all or make any sales in store. I will only shop for the merchandise itself online, get what I want, and let these disgusting cashiers with inappropriate behaviours lose their jobs. I won't be surprised if the stores shut down at most locations, they're always bare and empty of any customers and so when a single person walks in, the cashiers will stalk them and stare at them like hawks. Eek!
frustrating experience with the quality of clothes from Laura
It's disappointing when items don't meet expectations, especially at higher price points. It’s not understandable to feel upset about defects like burlap texture, bubbling from detached interfacing, and pilling on knits, which can certainly affect the overall value of the purchase when the clothes are new and priced from 300 $ and up .
It’s concerning that the store doesn’t accept returns and issues final sale stamps, which can make it even more challenging for customers who trust the sales staff. This can greatly diminish customer confidence and loyalty, especially when compared to the positive experiences from the past when stores offered better quality and customer service, including gift cards.
If you're looking to share your feedback, consider reaching out to the store or writing a review. Your insights could encourage them to improve their quality control and customer service practices. In the meantime, exploring other retailers that focus on quality might be a good idea for your future shopping.
I never imagined i would have this type…
I never imagined i would have this type of experience at Laura. For over 10 years i have shopped in Laura. I do a lot of shopping online. They would usually give me a gift card for final sales items. Today i returned some items worth over 200 dollars to Laura Londonderry mall in Edmonton. I was told i couldnt get even a gift card that i would only use in Laura as usual. I pleaded with them that i didnt know the rules had changed as i had done some returns even last month- February. The more i pleaded, the worse the answers. I pleaded that i couldnt use the clothes and to allow me this once as i was not aware of the new rules but to no avail. I felt so helpless and was only able to take photos of what i returned and left the store without the clothes. I won't have the confidence to buy anything from Laura online shop again and i wonder if ill have the heart to go back to Laura shop again
I bought a pair of black stretch jeans…
I bought a pair of black stretch jeans and to my shock……they fell apart…first just below the waist band and then the back of the leg. I’ve only worn them twice. I repaired the first rip but the leg split and just shred. It’s too bad they fit perfectly. So disappointed. Maybe you would like them back to verify.
I am very disappointed with your policy…
I am very disappointed with your policy online of a final sale. Online sales, should allow a client to exchange for another size or a credit note. I now have a beautiful jumpsuit that doesn’t fit me.
I was at st. Vital mall in Winnipeg and I found the supervisor very unhelpful. It is the store policy and nothing can be done about it. I have been a client at Laura’s store for over two decades. Very poor business service. I do not wish to return there or recommend anyone to go to your store.
The service at Melanie store is totally positive. Melanie was amazing and I would return because of her. But NOT LAURA store at St. VITAL IN WINNIPEG.
Spent $200, Received Nothing
Customer service rep Enza was dismissive and unhelpful—ignored emails, rushed responses, and showed no interest in actually assisting with my lost package. Laura Canada takes no responsibility for missing deliveries, even when FedEx can’t confirm where the package was left. Extremely frustrating experience. Would never order from them again.
Great customer service is back!
Early December I visited the Devonshire Mall and reluctantly walked into Laura. I say reluctantly because my experience at the other Ladies clothing stores was awful. It was very busy but a young lady named Ruwaida came to my rescue. She had 3 or 4 of us going at once but still managed to make me feel like I was special. I walked out with a beautiful outfit and matching jewelry because of her. You now have a customer for life. Her customer service for being a young girl was a breath of fresh air. I recommend your store any chance I get. Thank you for bringing customer service back! Oh and your selection of clothes is amazing as well! Thank you !!!!

Visiting Laura at Upper Canada mall was a wonderful experience. Goldie was very helpful to my mom and I searching for a evening dress. Her customer service was amazing and so helpful to both of us :)
I made an order online
I made an order online and received a tracking number. After 1 week the tracking showed it had not moved. I called customer service and the rep was amazing. The rep found my package and got it moving again. The rep even called me back to update me. Great customer service.

This is actually frustrating with the purchase I making from Laura . 2 years back I bought a winter jacket . Now even couple months the zipper broke . Then again last year I bought another winter jacket the zipper broke . I don’t understand after charging 100-150 $ on jackets how come such cheap quality . The jacket I buy from non brand stores stays for years . Really disappointing and never want to purchase from the store

I went inn to Laura Warehouse in Anjou.4/01/2025
I walked inn and asked for a refund on pants I had bought previous Sunday.
The young man said there is no returns just exchanges, then a woman explains to come back on the Tuesday. The young man abruptly says no returns I told him that on the receipt, my product was refundable.
He didn't want to listen to me anymore.neither was the woman.
They told me the rules were applicable in all the Laura's
Customer service was not a pleasant experience.
So I went to another Laura and they immediately refunded me. No problems no BS.it was on Galerie D Anjou
Giving a 1 star is generous
Giving a 1 star is generous. I bought a dress and a coat on line and generally I purchase one size larger than my dress size for coats. The dress size fit okay but the coat needed about 3 inches more to be able to zip up.
In addition, it was evident that both items, looked like second hands. The ivory coat was probably returned several time maybe for the same reason (size is not standard) and looks like it should be donated. I could get by with the dress after a good washing.
Online customer service refused to offer an exchange or provide a credit note for the coat, only insisting it was a final sale and that is the risk I took when I buy on line.
Laura shoppers, if you have funds to waste, you can continue shopping at Laura, with their poor Customer Service and passing off substandard store returned merchandise as brand new, without any recourse.
Frankly, I can assure you it is my last purchase from them.
Ask yourself, am I really satisfied with the level of customer service and the price paid. You have the power do something about it. Buyers Beware.

I will NEVER purchase an evening dress…
I will NEVER purchase an evening dress at Laura again. I bought a beautiful dress, that unfortunately did not match my husbands suit, so 24 hours later I returned it to the store only to be told that they REFUSE to reimburse my credit card. That they can only give a gift card, BUT I did not want a gift card. I did not purchase a gift card. I wanted my credit card to be reimbursed. The manager Simone refused, customer service Tina and Carol refused. Everyone stating that this is their policy, but I was never verbally informed!! They referred to a 8 x10 poster, in small French writing. What a terrible way to treat people!
Frustrated shopper
Hi,
I have been a customer at Laura since the beginning. At the time I really appreciated the small department into the store. Meaning a clear sections for regular, petite and plus size. I was in the clothing business all my life and I have zero patient to shop.
So Laura was perfect fit for me. I was going directly to the petite department. Grab fews pars of pairs and in 10 minutes I was out of the store.
To my surprise yesterday I went to Carrefour Laval in the new store to my surprise NON MORE PETITE. Wow what a bad ideal. I need to count on the sales personal witch she was fantastic. But I never like to be help or follow when I shop. They only have a pink tag on the hanger to identify the petite. The pant I purchase didn't even had a label inside saying petite. It's all mix up with regular size. really really frustrating.
Laura is a great success of Canadian retailer and always differentiate them self with this concept. Why now suddenly change the formula.
I have to admit they had so much staff on the floor. But a gain I do not appreciated being ask over and over if I need help.
I wish that Laura is going back to separated is category distinctively.I am sure I am not the only one frustrated with this change. I am sure when in the office the ideal came up it was great but I am sure they have not consulted their clientele.
I will definitely reduce my shopping to that store.

Very poor quality coats
Customer service is friendly but that's about all going for them. Took over a month to get a refund on items I never received and one of the items I did receive was a coat which lost two buttons within the first 2 wears. I've never had such poor quality on a coat. I contacted customer service and they made me wait 2 weeks only to be given a $20 coupon for my next visit... Like the coat is useless without buttons and I get a $20 coupon.... I used to shop a lot here (in-store) but after my first online order I think I will find a new favorite store.
