DO NOT ORDER from Laura Ashley. I have been awaiting delivery for a lamp which I ordered and paid for together with a £16 fast track delivery fee since the 2nd April.
I have sent possibly 10 emails to them....
Dealing with different members of staff each time. Each time promising delivery and a refund for my fast track delivery.
It is only now that I have read other reviews that I realise I will not be receiving my goods. What an absolute disgrace of a well known company!!!!
I have asked for a refund which I doubt I will get but will contact my Bank to make sure I get it.

They decided that the price I paid was wrong and I now need to pay more. Frustrating to try and explain they legally sold me it so have to give me it. I paid the price sent on the invoice. I want my item.

Laura ashley under wear is nothing but junk. Each time you wash them they knot and tie up the rest of your clothes they are a waste of money do not buy. I have bought my bedding from Lauren Ashley for 40 years. My last I had for 14 years. Lasted beautifully. I bought two comforter sets and they are horrible. The stuffing is so mis-shaped that I can’t fold it. The quality is horrible. Not worth the money!
Appalling quality and customer service
I purchased 2x Laura Ashley bedside tables through Plum Retail on 28th December 2024. They were not delivered until 1st May 2025! Then after only a couple of months using them, one of the drawers has completely collapsed and the surface on both is wearing off. After complaining I was told that the faulty drawer could be looked at, but they would not be able to do anything about the surface deteriorating. Bearing in mind we have only ever lightly dusted them and not cleaned with any cleaning products which could damage the surface.
Plum Retail/Laura Ashley arranged for a local furniture repair company to fix the issue with drawers. Upon his visit he completely condemned the drawer and told us that the surface finish had deteriorated because it had not been sealed properly before varnishing.
Considering I chose to invest a significant amount of money (£620 for two bedside tables) thinking I would be getting some high quality items for our home, I am appalled at the quality and I am still waiting for Plum Retail/Laura Ashley to resolve the issue on 28th October 2025.

I’ve been shopping at Laura Ashley for over 30 years and was saddened to see it close down in 2020. As the company changed owners over the years, the quality of its products dropped each time but it kept its unique style with beautiful colours and fabrics.
I was really looking forward to finally visiting an actual Laura Ashley store, which I did a couple of days ago - the new flagship store in Thurrock.
When I went through the doors it could have been any discount furniture shop - the furniture is cheap and thin. It’s small and has poor quality finishes. The ‘new ranges’ are ugly and poor quality. The colours are brash and the fabrics are thin and obviously synthetic. There are hardly any of the distinctive accessories that used to make the room sets so gorgeous.
This shop is not Laura Ashley - it’s using the name to sell cheap rubbish but at the old high prices.
I won’t be returning or recommending.

Paid £90 for a kettle that broke after 2 years, when I contacted them they said they wouldn't help us. Nobbetter than any other cheap kettle and certainly awful customer service. Will avoid this company entirely due to their lack of customer care.
Laura Ashley paint dreadful quality
I painted my hall, landing and stairwell in Laura Ashley Old Gold some years ago. It was a great paint to work with. I needed to refresh these walls prior to house sale and bought the closest colour, Laura Ashley Gold which is slightly darker. I bought a tester pot and that gave good coverage. Then I bought a full paint tin, not cheap. The coverage has been dreadful. Patchy, visible brushstrokes, not easy to apply. I'm currently on my third coat to see if this works. Not quite the 'refresh' I was hoping for. I did some research and it turns out that they switched to a different manufacturer a few years' ago. There are also plenty of negative reviews. I have painted many, many walls in my life and have never had such a bad finish. Never again!

Quick to take the money but it took 8 days to respond to my request for address change I made barely 5 mins after I placed the order.
refuse to refund or replacement as per statutory rights
Purchased a radiator cover, began assembling when I found a manufacturing defect. I’ve asked for a refund and Laura Ashley refuse because of their terms and conditions saying the item is assembled. I asked for a full replacement instead and they will only issue a replacement part (which is difficult because it means dissembling and reassembling for one part. This is a breach of statutory rights.
Don’t buy their beds
We bought an Ottoman type bed from Laura Ashley through next and the ottoman part of it broke and neither Next or Laura Ashley will help so we are stuck with a bed which doesn’t do what it is meant to! And £1,200 down! Avoid!!

Laura Ashley josette wallpaper is a beautiful patterned wallpaper.
However, the wallpaper itself is of atrocious quality.
Wallpaper rips, shreds and tears very easily.
It's an expensive wallpaper that should look amazing up, unfortunately for me it hasn't worked out that way. I now need to find a way to repair tears and rips that spoil the complete look.
Totally totally disappointed with the quality of this paper, let down and would never ever buy again.
Laura Ashley - Time Waster
Ordered online & paid several hundred pounds for a Laura Ashley ivory shoe cabinet on 27 December '24, via Plum Retail. After prompting Plum Retail on two occasions for a status update on delivery (with an original lead time of 6 weeks), Plum eventually informed me (on 16 April) that Laura Ashley was unable to manufacture the product. (Meanwhile, I see the same is currently available on the Next website for £150 more than I had originally paid - hmmmm.) I have since received a full refund from Plum Retail, however, for me, Laura Ashley has proved itself to be nothing more than a complete time-waster.
Zero customer service as now owned by NEXT…
They are now owned by NEXT ….we over £200 of Laura Ashley outdoor planters looked beautiful when putting in the garden but this winter they seem to have disintegrated and falling apart literally! I tried to contact Laura Ashley and the only numbers that are accessible are Next and I tried a Web chat and tried their phone number and nobody is willing to help because they’re saying that we didn’t buy it from the Next store. It’s Laura Ashley and they don’t take any responsibility for anything that was sold via Laura Ashley previously.
