Very good

I don’t know what these other negative reviews are talking about. We received 6 healthy, well packed lavender plants within 3 days of ordering. With good communication from Louisa at Lavender World.

I could not be more pleased.

Ordered 15 lavender plants

Ordered 15 lavender plants. Most arrived shabby and dead. I sent photos to lavender world twice and asked them to replace the dead plants. Nothing. Didn’t get the curtesy of a response. It took me three days to prep the area. Very disappointed to receive rubbish plants. Don't waste your time effort and money on this company.

no goods and took my money …

Placed an order paying extra £7.99 for next day as I was on a schedule and still now nothing that nearly a week ago. Sent 4 emails 2 pinged back saying can't send. 2 I've had we are looking at it automated reply but no actual replies. The number I found ring then says busy every time.. DO NOT USE unless you like chasing orders and refunds. I haven't got time for this.. got enough going on. But I won't be scammed!!!

Non Delivery of Rosemary or Lavender plants

I ordered and paid for a 5lt Lavender plant and a Rosemary plant in May, I have emailed the company on numerous occasisions and had a couple of replies from Louise promising a delivery which has never come to pass. I have since attempted on 2 occassion to get a refund but have had no response. I was happy to wait for my plants but after 2 months it is obvious I will not receive them, nor it seems a refund. I had a delivery of 48 lavender and…

I had a delivery of 48 lavender and rosemary plants. All plants were strong and healthy. Well packaged. Hmmm the only thing is that I didn't ordered these plants and have never dealt with this company. Oh and I don't have a garden. I emailed and phoned the company but no response. So now my friends and neighbours love them. Brilliant! Thank you very much!

Be warned

I placed an order without reading the reviews here then thought oh what have I done!! Immediately asked for refund as I don’t want to deal with a company like this and worried about late delivery (paid for next day shipping which didn’t happen) and poor plants. After several emails (no one ever picks up the phone goes to busy after several rings which is a warning sign) finally they agreed to cancel my order and received my money back the next day thankfully!! Not sure what is going on with this company but I won’t be even looking to buy here again.

Scammers - Do Not Order

Lavender world have had my money since March for an early order of Lavender being delivered in May. I haven’t received these as yet and have emailed numerous times with and received excuses and told delivery was attempted but without any delivery notices etc. I have asked for a refund several times and threatened with a small claims court. I am not getting any replies now. This company is scamming people of their hard earned money - DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE - Sam and Emma brother and sister so it says on Google search and looking at Companies House the Director is Nigel Goodwill. As stated earlier in the other reviews. I will try and get my money back, this is not the end of the story.

Our experience is like the rest :(

Sadly, a dreadful experience which matches many, many others here. I didn’t read the reviews beforehand but wish that I did.
We received a partial shipment and despite repeated calls and emails, we just cannot get them to send the remaining plants.
Will escalate to Trading Standards as well as Companies House.

Where's My refund

As with so many other people I too have had a terrible experience. 20.05.2023 I was told that my refund had been actioned, so far no refund. I have spoken to my credit card provider today and they confirm no refund and suggest I email to give them the opportunity to resolve this asap but if they don't I will have to raise a dispute with my credit card company. So I have done that and I'll see what happens.
FYI - My payment was not to but to OTHER SIDE GARDENING LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ - Director Samuel William Barnby GOODWILL. I looked at GOV.UK Companies House, he has other businesses one being YORKSHIRE LAVENDER LIMITED, people might want to check them out before buying from Lavenderworld.

No lavender or refund forthcoming

I ordered lavender on 3 May and the money went straight out of my account. Nothing happened after a month and a few emails, so I asked for a refund. Still waiting over a month later. I have spoken to Yorkshire Lavender, the same company, who said they’d pass on a message, but still no response. Yet they’re still trading!!

Unfortunately this seems to be a scam. Claims that plants have been sent that never arrive. Ah we will send you a new box for next day delivery. A week later and still nothing. Avoid avoid avoid. I will be suing them.

I think I’ve been very fortunate

I think I’ve been very fortunate. Orders 30 Hidcote over 2 weeks ago paying extra postage for their next day service as we needed them for a project. No word from them regarding delivery so I read the reviews and got very nervous. Chased them several times by email, each time I got a vague response with no useful or specific date for delivery- just lame excuses. So I threatened legal action on the grounds of mis-selling and quoted distance selling rights. I also tried to call the cafe and tourist attraction on the same site - they claim they have now “separated” from Lavender World & can’t help. The legal action threat possibly worked as they refunded me next day. DO NOT BUY from these people.

Orderded 12 plants on 20/6 now the 30th. First email was answered saying because of the hot weather there had been a delay delivering. No answer this week from my email requesting a refund if lavender was unable to be delivered this week. No reply Either they have plants or they haven't.

AVOID THIS TRASHY COMPANY BEFORE IT GOES INTO LIQUIDATION AGAIN!

One hundred ONE LITRE pots were specifically ordered as a "bulk order with 20% discount" was offered by "Lavenderworld", a company (see HM Companies House website) also owned by Mr Nigel William GOODWILL, Silverdale, Terrington, York, YO60 6PP. Unfortunately, THREE WEEKS LATER, no plants and then after three emails, TINY plants/seedlings arrived in poor condition with mould. Their customer service is ABYSMAL and takes days to respond, and as there are NO WORKING TELEPHONE NUMBERS (the advertised ones are discontinued - non-payment?), one can only email. Their advisor 'Louisa's response is with numerous habitual LIES that are worse than useless. It appears she is ignorant and unable to comprehend plain English (or chooses to). I genuinely wonder if this "email-only" primitive 'customer service' has been contracted out to some dubious location in the third world, as there is clearly something fundamentally wrong! It's also documented in several other sites by over a hundred former customers that there are NUMEROUS similar complaints regarding disgusting customer service that's probably originating from where clearly ENGLISH is not their native language. I have instructed Lavenderworld to collect these dreadfully substandard plants and have arranged for my Credit card company to BACKCHARGE everything. Lavenderword has violated the terms and conditions of BOTH the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Credit Card companies merchant's terms and conditions of service by not providing the goods or services advertised in a legal sales contract. I would urge any other customer to use an alternative supplier and if they have not been supplied with exactly the products ordered ask their Credit Card company to BACKCHARGE accordingly

Shame it’s SO bad

I really don’t like writing bad reviews. I like to support businesses where I can. But honestly such a poor experience. My lavender still hasn’t arrived and is over 2 months late, and despite multiple emails now asking for a refund, I’ve not received a response.

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!
A shambolic or blatantly dishonest company. DO NOT do business with them. I paid £56 in April for some plants. At the end of June, despite repeated chasing I’ve had nothing. There’s no phone number and the responses to emails are meaningless.
If there was an option to give no stars, I would. I wish I’d read the reviews here first.

Shockingly bad

I pre-ordered and paid for 24 Lavender plants on the 1st April for delivery in May. I tried to obtain an approximate delivery date and after several attempts I was eventually told delivery would be by end of May. This deadline passed and still no plants. Lavender World do not answer their phone (incidentally you will not find a phone number anywhere on their website) and emails went ignored. Eventually, I did receive an email on the 8th June apologising and offering a refund as I explained I would be overseas from the 12th June and delivery of the plants after this time would be useless. I was told the refund would take 2 or 3 days, we are now the 24th June and still no refund. I left the country on the 12th June and on the 14th June my neighbours advised me the plants had been delivered! I immediately contacted Lavender World asking them to collect the plants and issue my refund. It is now the 24th June and I have heard absolutely nothing from them. This company should not be allowed to operate.

Be warned, do not buy from

Be warned, this is one of the worst companies I have ever come across, they don't deliver then promise to make refunds and 3 months later despite numerous promises they still have made no refund. I would almost say they a purely fraudulent

Another very bad review

Another very bad review. Ordered a pallet of lavender 6 weeks ago. Intermittent communication when chased. Was told the plants weren't good enough to send out after about 3wks wait and then after more chasing and more generic group responses, another couple of weeks pass to then get told they don't have any of the plants i ordered. Absolute jokers. Don't waste your time.
