A couple of points to help others that may read this review:

There's so much information to remember in law courses, that it means that on rare occasions we have to compromise on the font size a little to deliver the benefit of getting all the key information for a particular topic on one sheet of paper. Small font sizes are a very common characteristic of legal publishers. Blackstones Criminal Practice, The White Book and numerous text books face similar challenges. However, we're considering ways we can address this in the future.

As regards hanging LawMindMaps on walls: we know many students like to do this, and it helps with more "ambient studying". However, we really recommend spreading them out on a desk to work through each mind map individually. We then recommend using what we term "The 5 R's of Law Revision":

1) READ the branches of the mind maps;
2) REMOVE the info from your eyesight, by looking away or covering it up;
3) RECALL the information by writing it down from memory;
4) REVIEW what you just wrote down against what you initially read;
5) RIGHT? Move on when your review shows your recall was right.

Thanks for the 3 stars. We really appreciate the feedback, although we’re a little confused: a very tightly written summary ratio or the key points of law is provided for each case of the mind maps.

Vast amounts of information law students are required to learn for these courses have been sourced from both academic and practitioner texts as well as judgments and distilled into very succinct, colourful mind maps. They’re far more than a list of cases.

Distilled short phrases, colour coding and graphical formatting have been shown to help people learn more efficiently, more easily and more enjoyably. Numerous academic studies have proven the benefits of mind maps, and we’ve referenced some on LawMindMaps.com.

Like other revision aids, such as the revision books you mention, LawMindMaps are not a replacement for going to lectures, preparing for tutorials, reading set texts and reading full judgments - and we would never suggest they are.

The mind maps are a time-saving tool so students can avoid making mind maps themselves. They help students remember case law and case names efficiently, help students to visualize how concepts are related, and show how the law has developed over time.
