I would give 0 if I could

Not even worth one star. They advertise something completely different than you get. I created my money pot for a fundraiser, it was live for 2 weeks before Leetchi suspended it on the day of my fundraiser event. My ID had been long verified but they needed additional documents about the beneficiary, specifically MEDICAL BILLS connected to the goal of my money pot and an ID card of the parents of the sick child I was raising the money for. I was not notified that they had suspended my money pot, I was never told why this happened. In their terms and conditions it says they will not investigate relationships between the organiser and the beneficiary, yet by forcing me to contact the parents of the child for acquiring their ID cards and medical bill they breached their own terms and conditions. I have reported this to the European consumer protection agency as I don't believe they should have to right to ask for sensitive information like that (also something they were not able to tell me, which I find unbelievable). I had to continue to raise money through PayPal which I guess was a good lesson for future fundraisers, no one bullies you for any sensitive information there. I would never recommend Leetchi. It's probably safer and easier to just send money onto people's bank accounts.

I would like to apologise for this bad experience with our service. As a financial institution subject to legal obligations and (above all) under the control of approved bodies, we check the money pots hosted on our platform. These checks cover both incoming transactions (contributions) and outgoing transactions (transfers). In this respect, my colleagues ask for supporting documents (invoice, estimate, identity document of the beneficiary, etc.). We do not do this to block your funds or to be intrusive, far from it. Our only aim is to ensure that the funds collected are used correctly.

Bad Like lots of the recent reviews

Like a lot of the recent reviews, impossible to withdraw the funds from a money pot we’ve created to purchase a gift for a 40 years old friend’s birthday.
Tried 3 times to 3 different accounts; my profile is verified - it has been since 2018 and my id hasn’t expired! Leetchi used to be good but really gone downhill. Not worth the 4% commission these guys take!!!!

Very dangerous, I would give 0 if I could

Very dangerous! I would not recommened to set up money pots with Leetchi.
I'm so glad my sister and I tested it before spreading the pot link to all the people we planned to send it to.
Not knowing it would go down like that, I first sent her 40 €. When she tried to take the money it wouldn't let her and she was told she had to verify her account (which makes sense). The only problem: it wouldn't let her verify!! So how was she supposed to get the money? She contacted the customer support and received no help. Until we decided to stop the whole thing and threat to initiate legal action. All of a sudden we received an answer and I got my money back.
Very disappointing! I'm sorry for all the people who didnt't test it first and let people transfer lots of money money, like presents or donations! I wish we read all the bad reviews from other disappointed customers first. But you learn.
Hope I can help other people to be careful with my review.

Need help to finish this transaction!

I set up a Money Pot as a way to collect money for a virtual baby shower gift for our coworker. We have global team and everyone in US had problems donating, none of our credit cards worked because it does not have some security thing on them. We had to call the banks to authorize it, etc. second problem now is getting the money gifted. The baby was already born and we still waiting for Leetchi to approve my id document. i uploaded it 20 days ago. how long does it take? i submitted 2 tickets to ask on status and received no replies! Its embarrassing! Please help!
Update. After writing this review, i received immediate response and apology. Customer service were able to identify it as system bug that prevented my ID being uploaded correctly and therefore it was being delayed in being approved. I must give 5 stars to follow up and problem resolution! but because we were up to a rocky start i will leave it at 3 stars.

i am also using Leetchi and have the…

i am also using Leetchi and have the same issues,i issued my ID a week ago & sent ticket requests with no answers , it's still showing as pending which is so frustrating as the person left on Friday .I would have major concerns using this site again as the setup makes it easy to set one up but very,very difficult to withdraw the funds which is why i would look at others sites .Absolutely ridicules carry on .

Leetchi will not release the funds for an ALS patient and they will not give people the their donations back!

My father was diagnosed with ALS, a very serious disease, so we started a fundraiser for him. More than 200 people donated to help him.

Unfortunately, ALS refuses to release the funds, even though we've sent them all the medical documents and IDs translated (which I wonder if it's even GDPR compliant; ever heard of medical privacy?).

They are deliberately slow in communications and I requested that all people who donated be refunded, since they have no right to keep this money.

Unfortunately, they've decided to scam more than 200 people and a person who suffers from ALS and they won't return the donations. They won't even reply to my numerous emails.

We are now seeking legal action agains this scam.

Unsuccessful Bank Transfers, No Customer Support & GDPR Concerns

It has been already 10 days and 4 unsuccessful transfers: I still cannot receive the money from the Leetchi pot, my colleagues have created for my birthday. At first, the colleagues tried to transfer directly the money to my bank account.
Since this was unsuccessful (no reason why) I had to register at Leetchi, upload my ID and a photo of myself, and after some time of verification I requested a transfer to my Revolut account. This was declined on the next day without any reason. Then I requested the transfer to my Fibank account and today I received another message that the bank transfer has been refused. Then other 2 tries with alternating bank accounts. Looks like a scam and I warned my colleagues not to use it anymore.

really bad experience with Leetchi

I have received a money pot from my colleagues. My profile got stuck at verify my ID. I have opened 3 support tickets for almost a week now and no answer. I think their website is a fraud, given the amount of negative reviews. Who know how many weeks until they verify my ID and I am able to rrceive the transfer. Really dissapointing. Would not recommend.

Profile has not been verified for two weeks and unable to send money pot for colleagues gift

Leetchi still hasn’t verified my profile (despite documents uploaded two weeks ago) hence I was unable to send the money pot I collected for a colleague gift!

It’s been two weeks and no response.. really need to get this resolved....

Be sure to get verified before opening a pot

Opened a pot for my leaving colleague, my account didn’t get verified, there is a red dot on my id page but doesn’t say not accepted nor is there any option to upload new documents. Also no response to my support ticket. My colleague will be leaving tomorrow and now in a position where I will not be able to send the money.

Following Brexit I am unable to access my moneypot via Amazon it says it is unavailable ... can anyone please advise? If I can't access it this is just rubbish! I do not want Euros or to have to transfer the money to my account.

I believe this to be a scam. My colleagues collected a pot of money for my leaving gift which I could only claim half of, no explanation was offered by leetchi. A very, very poor service. Do not use.

Will the accounts be migrated to the new site ? I cannot authenticate. I have account for my daughter's surgery money collection. Also I have same problem receiving test donation from previous campaign in my bank account. Is there any minimum amount that can be transferred ? Please clarify or share the link to the terms. I may have missed something. Also do you filter the content ? some pot in All Category are very explicit to be mixed with Children and sensitive mind concern. Just an opinion again maybe I missed something in the terms.

I have tried to transfer the collected…

I have tried to transfer the collected money to the bank account and attempted three times...it said failed to transfer but did not provide any reason. I tried contact the support team but was unable to get any responses...I need to send the money to my colleague asap....not sure what I can do.

We got reply via Trustpilot message box to ask us to make sure the beneficiary name matches the payee of the transfer. We made the changes...However, the transfer failed again. We have posted another email to support team to ask for help. (We never got any replies from the email sent...only via Trustpilot). Would be great if we can get some help on this asap!

I created the account, validated the email address, added id - and now in an infinite loop of being asked to verify my email address - which I do and am told there is an error.

This is a leaving gift for someone who is leaving today :-( very poor service

Having a nightmare

Having a nightmare! Created a profile on the 9th of December and a money pot and my profile has no been verified yet!! I ve sent a message to Leetchi via their website but no answer! I am desperate as this is a teacher's present and as a result i am not able to give the present to the teacher on behalf of the whole class!

Decided to create a Birthday money pot for my sons 10th Birthday. Each year he gets lots of little £20-30 toy gifts that he uses for a week and then either breaks or looses. the idea was to create a place where friends and family can contribute towards a long term investment in the form of a good quality Mountain Bike that would take him through his teenage years. I found Leetchi online and created a funding pot.

I followed their instruction on verifying my ID by sending them a passport copy and a copy of my driver licence as well as a bank statement of the account i wish to transfer the funds. This was approved on my Leetchi account!

Since Tuesday 15th December I am trying to withdraw the funds only to be told via e-mail that the transfer remains unsuccessful and that I would be prompted to provide more documentation. Nobody is requestion anything from me. I have had to e-mail chase them multiple times only to receive a request for further documentation.

The bank transfer to a UK account costs me a fee of 4% and will take 48 hours. My sons birthday is in two days and he already knows that we will be going out for him to choose his birthday present. I am now left in a situation where i will have to explain to him that he will not get his present on his birthday. I also have to explain to his family and friends that the money they have paid for his birthday remains locked away.

I am still awaiting feedback ( Now 17th December) on what i need to do to withdraw funds.

I am deeply distraught with this service and i would strongly urge anyone reading this to reconsider using their services.

Should anything change and should Leetchi find a solution to solve this before the 19th December I am prepared to update and amend this review to a degree.

As it stands this has been an embarrasing , stressfull and deeply upsetting experience.

- Update 18th December:
I received an email from Tristan yesterday only to say he was waiting for an update from compliance ( a department included in all the communication so far) it is now 12:03pm and I have not received any further feedback and am still unable to withdraw funds. I am now contacting Trading standards for further advice.

Took long to verify account, but Leetchi team were super helpful and expedited the process!

UPDATE:
After my review here, on a Friday (11-Dec-20), Alice from Leetchi responded asking for details about my account. This morning i.e. Monday (14-Dec-20), Tristan from Leetchi got back saying my account verification was prioritized, and 20 minutes later all was sorted. I'm happy with the service and the prompt response to resolve my issue. My issue request no was: 1257919.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
How long does it take to get verified? I've uploaded my id document on 8th December, and my profile has still not been verified. I can't withdraw money from the pot unless I'm verified. I contacted Leetchi via their website and using their mail: help @ leetchi.com. No responses yet. I saw them active here, so trying to reach out to them. Will update my review on the successful resolution of my issue.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

A platform that hides their TC in little details, one that requests approved translations into English or French of documents that are not in those languages (this would cost me already the amount I collected the donations for), a platform that tells me that these are needed for banking regulations and one that has been making me go after them for weeks now to be able to send the money for a donation to a family that is in dire need. A PLATFORM OF LIARS. They do not say anything upfront (Gofundme does) about any of these requirements because all they care about is getting their own share of the money collected in your pot (I have to pay 4%). Just a complete loss of my time and causing me so much stress. I hate you for creating something that doesn't even work and for masquerading it as a platform that's intended for good.

Edit: I've replied to the message below from Leetchi and they haven't followed up yet but that's fine, I hope that they get back to me with a reasonable answer. So far they have only gotten back to me with the same answer: how the money will be used in receipts and those receipts to be in English/French, which is terribly costly and I don't even have receipts because this is a donation and the people who donated are close friends anyway. Leetchi is threatening me that they will close the money pot and refund the donators in 15 days if I cannot provide the docs.

Edit2: I will take this up with Luxembourg's Consumer Syndicate as a legal issue for misleading information and for all the headache that they have caused and for actually not helping. This is a Lux-based company, as well as France (Luxembourg name: MangoPay).

Edit3: OF COURSE THEY DIDN'T HELP. Of course not. I am disgusted.

Edit4: This is the first email they sent to me, where they only request cost estimates and in a more recent email they changed this completely to request invoices and they have no explanation as to why that's happening. The below is a copy from their own company email, which means it indeed was sent on behalf of the company.

"Please send us the following documents in order to proceed the bank transfer:

1. a copy of the beneficiary's passport or ID card 
2. a cost estimate or receipts linked to the project
3. a signed sworn statement (see attached)"
