Legal Service Disappointment

I met Laurie Lee, Founder of The Legal Department in Jacksonville, FL, through a SCORE webinar. I was impressed at the time and wanted to work with her. Unfortunately, I soon found that there was a hard push to get me moving very quickly to set up my business entity as well as for me to establish a business mailbox address. I did so. I paid the fees for my entity in Florida. I soon discovered several weeks later, Ms. Lee and her team still had not completed the necessary paperwork. Instead, I was issued a refund. I was, however, scared as this was the first time I was launching a business and Ms. Lee sent me an email telling me that was strange. I found that her daughter, an employee, also didn't do well with communication like responding to meeting requests. I told Ms. Lee that this was unacceptable to me after I thought I was to have a meeting on August 11, 2026, yet it was not communicated to me at the time of making the appointment (2 weeks prior) that the date offered me was unavailable. Ms. Lee terminated my association with the company in response. I also found that her paralegal didn't follow through with sending me the information about professional liability as it was said he would do. Then I noted on a refund receipt it didn't even list where my refund was sent to. Basic information, in this case a simple detail, is simply not provided. I am so disappointed.
