Years after years, parking is still crap. Too much waste of time. Have visited so many theme parks they prioritise children but was disappointed by staff’s lack of empathy.

Queues were 60 to 180 minutes
Queues were 60 to 180 minutes, except for the baby rides. Everything's overpriced. Closes at 5pm, worked out at about £10 a ride, each.
When it rains a whole load of rides close. Train not running and at least one other major ride closed.
Complete and utter waste of money. Id advise people to go elsewhere
Complete and
Huge lines/rip off
Huge lines, 2 rides broke down after waiting 45 mins, no sorry, no fast pass or any sign of staff caring. Parking 12 poound. Just a very expensive poorly ran place. Gutted as was so excited to take my 4 year old . Wont be returning.
Not value for money huge lines
Recently visited whilst staying in London. Whilst my children enjoyed it, the lines for each rides were so long, you barely get to go on anything. So value for money wise, it’s not good. Having longer opening hours would help! The food is very overpriced and not enough dining options and snack outlets for such a big site. Whilst some staff were very helpful and friendly others didn’t really look like they wanted to be there. There is a good variety of rides and entertainment if you can get on them.
Went today for my 7 year olds birthday…
Went today for my 7 year olds birthday what a shambles rude staff and three rides broke down all that waiting to go on the rides no sorry you can go back on it later without waiting again or anything he could only go on three rides as there were so many people. I wish we had gone to Chessington instead got an upset little boy. Then we went to the toy shop to make it up to him three times the worker marked t shirts getting the tags off it was an absolute joke. Then I paid for parking my ticket didn’t go through the guy at the gate said don’t worry sometimes this happens just show the guy at the exit your ticket we went there explained he wouldn’t listen just said you need to pay again I said can you not radio your colleague he went no point you need to pay so paid again
Overpriced, overcrowded and underwhelming. Avoid
I usually rely on first impressions, and unfortunately Legoland Windsor did not get off to a good start. We arrived early in the hope of making the most of the day, though with such poor opening hours (10am to 4.30pm) there is not enough time to do very much. Compared with places like Disney, which run from 9am to 10pm, it feels like you are being short changed before you even step inside.
While waiting in the queue at the entrance I noticed moss growing on the Lego brickwork. Not exactly a magical welcome. Once inside, it was clear the park had not been cleaned properly from the previous day. There were scraps of litter left about and the general upkeep looked tired. The hill train was out of action so we walked down to the mini model city. At one time these models must have been spectacular, but now most are faded, weathered and grimy. The interactive buttons for the trains did nothing, which left children standing there disappointed.
We then went on to Lego City. The remote control boats looked fun but did not respond properly to controls, often drifting about aimlessly. The Duplo train was our first actual ride, with an hour’s queue for the three of us, only to discover it seated just two. That left one of us standing by while the others rode. The same thing happened with the helicopters. Another 45 minutes of waiting, another ride with only two seats. It feels as if the entire park is designed for families of four, with no thought given to the fact that not all families fit that mould.
Food and drink were no better. We tried to buy a refill bottle, but they were sold out, so we ended up paying for bottled Coke at the hotdog stand. At least the queue there was only twenty minutes. We then tackled the driving school, which looked promising but turned into one of the worst experiences of the day. We queued for one hour and 45 minutes. The safety video was played in full every time, meaning the ride sat idle while precious minutes of capacity were wasted. When my son’s car broke down within 30 seconds, he raised his hand as instructed but was completely ignored by staff for the entire ride. He was furious and rightly so.
The fire engine ride took another hour of queuing. After that we gave up on the rides entirely. The queues were unbearable, worsened by the lack of shade and the plague of wasps clearly encouraged by the poor cleaning standards. At one point the mother behind us was stung. She faced the impossible choice of abandoning an hour of queuing or suffering in the blazing sun with her children just to stay in line. The whole place feels more like an endurance test than a day of fun.
What really struck me was how badly the place is managed. If the rides were properly maintained, if the staff were more attentive, and if the park capped ticket sales to match its capacity, it could actually be enjoyable. Instead, Merlin clearly see it as a cash cow, squeezing parents and children alike for every penny while delivering the bare minimum in return. Perhaps Lego themselves should step in and take control of what ought to be their flagship theme park, a place to inspire future builders rather than drain their families of patience and money.
Even the shop was a let down. It was overcrowded, chaotic and uninspired. You would think a flagship Lego store in Windsor would have every set available, rare pieces, or at the very least something unique to mark the experience. Instead it was the same products you can buy in any toy shop, only at inflated prices. No exclusive sets, no special stock, nothing that made it feel worth the trip. Just another cash grab.
In the end, the day was expensive, frustrating and deeply disappointing. For a little Lego fan it should have been magical, but it left us with nothing but a sour taste. Sadly, we will never return.
Please don’t bother
We drove here for the day from Derbyshire but wish we hadn’t bothered. I know it’s the August Bank Holiday but they really shouldn’t sell so many tickets and let so many people in the park. With a 4year old and a 6 year old the waiting times of upwards of 60 minutes are just impossible. They’ve been on 2 rides all day and splashed around in the splash park. There’s not enough seating around the rides for grandparents to sit on to wait. There’s hardly any picnic seats, we sat on the floor to eat a picnic. At least we don’t feel like we’ve been ripped off with food prices and the ice creams were the price we expected to pay.
We’ll never return, Thomas Land at Drayton Manor is a much better family day out. You live and learn.
Nice place but stay away you will be…
Nice place but stay away you will be charge we pay over 200 for our family of 3 just to queue out everywhere and I mean over 1 h everywhere we will not come back ever again don’t waste your time and money it is not worth it It s not the place to spend your money it s a total ripoff DO NOT VISIT
Poor all round.
Poor all round.
Visited for 2 days with the family and still didn't get on 50% of the rides due to the size of the queues and amount of people in the park.
It was complete madness the amount of people that were there during our visit, yes it was the summer holidays, yes you expect queues and it to be busy, but honestly most rides had a queue of 1 to 1.5 hours and with 3 small children it was simply a nightmare and the worst theme park experience I've ever had.
My takeaway's from the experience was,
1. You need to buy the VIP (Fastrack) passes if you want to get on more than 5 rides in a day during the holiday periods - which means spending big. We got onto 4 rides on our first day (rides close at 5pm!). You will not get onto any of the big ticket rides in under 1 hour without them - regardless of the time of day.
2. Prepare to re-mortgage your house to buy food, drinks and other items. The food and drinks costs are crazy, food is pretty poor in the park.
3. Merlin/Legoland do not care about your experience. I raised my grievances as they asked me to do - they didn't care.
Great day out
The best park experience we had by a long margin! Clean, tidy and well maintained park. The park looked really well looked after.
Peak summer holidays but enjoyable got on most rides, able to walkabout freely without being lost in a crowd. Toilets and eating establishments absolutely clean and an absolute pleasure. Staff friendly and had an amazing time. Thank you!
We had a great day
We had a great day, but the cues are awfully long even to get out of the car park took over an hour. Exhausting
Expensive, unfair and biased for profit
Reading the other review, it would seem Legoland doesn't care about feedback and does what it likes.
We bought refillable cups so we could drink unlimited fizzy drinks during the day but they still charge you for fizzy drinks at their restaurants, what a rip off.
The staff seemed to be more interested in each other rather than providing a service, I'm assuming they are low paid.
The queues were slow as 'priority' customers kept going in front.
I think Legoland should charge a fair price and deliver a good equal service.
2 days in Legoland p
Firstly we have been to Legoland d many times, especially this time of the year , so expected queues!
We booked through the app whereby you could get the 2nd day free if staying at the resort or partner hotel. (Also paid £12 per day for parking )
DAY1: arrived c.10:40 and parked easily in the car park near the woodland lodges. A long queue to go through security which was dealt with quickly. Walked to the park via Miniland & on to first ride. Queued about 60mins! (A warning for the day!) Extremely busy everywhere , which is to be expected in beautiful weather & school holidays! . Every ride had massive queues which averaged probably 1.5x the time stated on the display! The people who have paid for fast track didn’t help! Ok for people with money to queue jump but there are families who couldn’t afford the expensive extra costs on top of everything else! ! First day went on 5 rides (which included the train back up to the exit) & watched the show at the lighthouse. Grandson wanted to go into the shop but there was even a queue there! Walked back to the car and had no problem exiting the resorts we’ve been before and knew which lane to get into.
DAY2: after a fabulous stay at the partner hotel arrived at the resort 10:10 and parked easily in the top car park. Cleared security (sadly the girl wasn’t as friendly as her colleague the day before) . We’d planned our rides the previous night so went straight to the ride of The Sky Lion. (Our favourite ride on the whole park) Already a queue but not too bad however when we were nearing the gates to the ride it had to be stopped. It was quickly mended so thought we get on! No as the fast pass people went on first! We did get on quickly though. Wanted to go on this again later in the day but gave up the idea as the queue (queue busters) was out the door! Instead husband & grandson enjoyed Hydra’s challenge two different times. All in all 5 rides again. Husband & grandson walked up to the exit area so they could go into the shop before the rush.
Overall we enjoyed it but there are MANY things need improving .
Queues! : far too long & frustrating having queue busters jump on! Merlin’s way of getting more money!
Food and drink: extremely expensive!! We took a picnic and snacked whilst in the queues . Managed to share a bench in Heartlake City with other people, to eat our rolls/sandwiches . Would have had hot dogs but not at £9.50 each! I wanted a Fiesta ice lolly & had to pay for it first but then the lad discovered they’d run out! I honestly didn’t like any of the others on offer, so had to have something as I’d paid, which he did give to me at the same price.
All in all, we did enjoy ourselves BUT people need to prepared , take picnic if possible (we bought meal deals from a big supermarket bjt there were only 3 of us) & know you will have to queue.
I kow it’s nice to buy something from the shop but it is expensive compared to a large , local toy store.
Most if all ….. have fun!
We had a fantastic day
After booking this and then seeing all the bad reviews around I was really worried we’d wasted our money however our experience today was great! I think the longest we waited for a ride was 15-20 minutes, The staff were all really friendly and helpful, The shows were absolutely fantastic and we had a lovely day.
I really liked that in most queues there were climbing frames or Lego for children to play with whilst waiting to stop them being to bored, There was free sun cream all around the park as well as free water refills, We did purchase a refill cup for soft drinks which was £16 however this worked out cheaper for us to share all day than buying 5 bottles a time each and we certainly got our monies worth.
The park was clean and I did see an awful lot of people complaining about wasps however whilst yes there were some it wasn’t as bad as made out and only really around when we had food. We used the kelloggs 25% offer so did get it slightly cheaper. A great family day and can’t wait to go again
Do not use a card on the guy on the train located in heartlake city
The park itself was fine just the hotel room oh i was drenched in sweat since the AC was only felt if you put your hand on the vent and the room cleaness? it was fine but when we were trying to get onto the LEGOLAND express the woman at the hotel reception said to show a card for the ride in fast pass queues but he said "Show your QR Code please" so one of the kids was crying and it was chaos and then we were going back to the room we didnt have to take a lift since on floor 2 are the the kingdom rooms and on the same floor is the restaurant so there was a door so overall I would give it 2 stars for that guy being a idiot and ruining the day.
Pay big or be disappointed.
Very disappointed with the overall experience of the park. Went over 2 days and stayed overnight in the Woodland cabins. The theme park itself is the main issue. Queues are outrageous if you don't purchase queue jumps. You are lucky if you manage to get 4 rides in for the whole day with you don't purchase a queue jump pass. And that's if the rides don't consistently break down. At one point over half the rides in the park were closed on the first day we were there. Investment is needed to get these rides to a more reliable standard. Don't rely on the predicted queue times on the app or numerous live queue time boards around the park either, stick another 40 minutes on that time and its more realistic. The queue jumpers will be given preference as well with no particular limit on how many are let on at a time. Pick your rides very carefully if you are going just for the day. And be prepared to consistently swarmed by wasps. It's a massive issue. It's expected in these places don't get me wrong, but the sheer amount of them is going to cause a serious issue if not got on top of, especially at the drink refill points where they climb into the machines and get poured out into your drink. It's an accident waiting to happen. Then we get onto the cabins. They are beautiful to look at, clean and well presented. Nice touch with the children with the safe cracking game. But they are now dated and a bit snug for a family to use. Very much just all on top of each other. Lucky its got so many play areas for the children to use so parents get the rest needed for the next day. Over the 2 days though, a grand total of 8 rides were managed before the kids had enough and wanted to head home, they were done with the queue times and the wasps. Unfortunately, overall experience is to sell your other arm and leg to either buy queue jumps for the whole family or stay a minimum of 2 nights to get everything done and take your time to get the rides done that you want to do. Hope the owners and management take note of the mass complaints on here.
Run down & Neglected
This place is a nightmare!
Ride access pass and booking tickets was a huge faff starting over a week before. Making sure we had the Merlin pass, connect it to this and that and pre-book etc. In the end it didn’t work anyway. Queues were fully booked most of the time and when we finally found one and got to the “get on now” part, we still had to queue for 20 mins to half an hour.
So many rides were closed or broken down. Sometimes we’d be in a queue and they’d tell us the ride was broken but didn’t know how long for. Another time they let us in, only to have miscounted so we had to wait again. It was disorganised with little communication or even care from staff. The first ride of the day didn’t open until half hr after it was supposed to and when a guest asked how long it would be, she was told “how long is a piece of string” no customer service at all.
Queue times were inaccurate, stating less than the actual time. An hours wait instead of 20 mins.
Used so much phone battery trying to find rides on the app we could go on, had to pay for a recharger which didn’t actually say how much it would be. Ended up being £12.
This is the same cost as the additional parking, which is also a joke of a charge. It took us over an hour & a half to get out of the carpark!
It baffles me that the park closes at 5. Surely in peak season it should be open until at least 8pm. This would help with leaving the park too as everyone wouldn’t be spilling out onto the roads at rush hour. And maybe people could experience more of the park after queuing for so long for everything.
Equally queues to get in the Lego shop were so long we didn’t even manage to get inside.
Apparently there are supposed to be characters walking around and shows to see. We saw one show and no characters whatsoever.
The miniature village is supposed to be a unique highlight. It was dirty, neglected, run down. It didn’t have water in it for the boats and most of it didn’t work at all. It needs a really good deep clean all round and fixed up.
To be honest the whole thing comes across as a run down, over-built, neglected park. Sad to see.
I know it is high season but with most people pre-booking I really feel numbers should be capped. For safety as well as customer experience. We managed very few rides and has left us all determined not to return.
It needs shutting down for a good few months. Everything needs fixing, including the Lego & rides. The gardens need tending & the wasp problem needs addressing. Everything needs painting and cleaning. And the staff could probably do with more training.
This is what happens when greed takes over and takes priority over customer experience and satisfaction.
3 hours to get out of the car park
3 hours to get out of the car park. An extremely poorly managed park. Won't be going back. Spent 90% waiting around on queues even with reserve and ride. Teribble value for money.
Absolute shocker of a day out.
Absolute shocker of a day out.. over sold tickets so every ride was at least an hour to get on. Managed to get 4 rides in all day in between squeezing between hundreds of thousands of people. For the price of a small hatchback, I wouldn't also expect to spend 2 hours queueing to LEAVE the place.
No staff in the car park guiding people out. 3/4/5 junctions of 2 lanes merging into one, and then still charging parking at the gate. Felt sorry for the hundreds of card behind me with still an hour or more to get out the car park.
Definitely won't be coming back anytime soon.
Oh how I wish I could give them zero…
Oh how I wish I could give them zero stars for their greed. £12 for parking!!! no concessions for over 65 or blue badge holders is disgusting their ticket prices are more expensive than anywhere else I receive no email confirmation because they don't even ask for an email address.
They take your money and show little regard or respect for the customer !
This is such an expensive day out ! Once you’re in they make no effort … they’ve got you !
It was my grandsons 6th Birthday treat . We expected it to be busy that was the least of our issues !
Staff were un interested and often rude in their indifference . Few decent toilets . They need to update improve their displays .
There are very few seats to sit , rest or eat the expensive food you might buy . Overall it felt dirty and un cared for .
Perhaps staff need to visit Paultons Park which is fantastic . Clean , beautiful colourful grounds , so much seating for families to enjoy a picnic or rest !
Never again Legoland .
