Cooker is good but the lid function is a very poor design the gas valve bit pushes on one side lifting it so not only does it not sit flat but it’s popped out and broken the hinge . Yes they have replaced it but you can see it will happen again in a few months. I really don’t recommend getting a lid version.

Not what we had purchased

We purchased our Leisure Range Cooker from Currys. We explained to the sales person who assisted our purchase that we required a dual fuel range cooker, ie a gas hob and electric ovens and grill. This is what we were told we were purchasing. We paid for the purchase of the range cooker and also for the installation and removal of the old cooker.
Two delightful gas engineers arrived on 29 January to install the new cooker and remove the old one. At this point I realised that what they had installed was a range cooker with a gas hob but with only one electric oven. The other oven is gas and the grill is gas. This is not what we had told we were purchasing in store.
I am very disappointed that the range cooker is not what we wished to purchase.
However, I was very impressed with the two gas engineers who installed the range cooker and removed the old one. They were efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. My husband was quite unwell on the day of the installation and they helped me to reinstate the heavy kitchen furniture afterwards. This is the reason I am awarding 3 stars. They are for the after service but NOT for the purchase or for the fact I have not got the cooker that I wanted.
The gas cooker does not have a temperature light so I do not know when it reaches the temperature I need for cooking.
I have not been able to respond to you before now because my husband has been very unwell in hospital.

Rubbish ovens!!!!

The main oven is too narrow, so three of my roasting pan’s don’t fit. Also both ovens take half an hour to get to temperature, also the main oven is cold in the middle, so food is burnt round the edge and undercooked in the middle of the tray. The grill fan comes on when main oven reaches temperature!!! Not happy!!!!

Don't believe Leisure cares about its customers

First Leisure range (the one with the glass lid and hot plate) was okay but it was unnecessarily cheap with plastic knobs that broke and were more expensive to replace than solod brass ones would have been - Leisure saw us coming. Due to the price point, I bought another (with 7 burners) when the first one failed. This one was pretty useless. I only ever use both ovens at Christmas and it was on Christmas day that I discovered that any attempt to have both ovens on at the same time trips the whole electrics. Nightmare! The fan oven failed pretty quickly, so I used the 2nd one and the door isn't fit for purpose as the enamel has all bubbled around the glass and, again, it has cheap plastic knobs. Why? I decided to upgrade to a solid looking new Leisure cooker (the one with the baker's oven) already you're thinking that I'm mad, but the build, knobs and handles all seemed really solid and and I also wanted third, smaller oven. I had three delivered in the last three weeks, all have had to be returned due to poorly fitted doors which were misaligned, quite significantly or didn't snap closed to form a proper seal. Thank God for the fitters who spotted the defects. The fitters have told me that only around 20% of Leisure ranges are defect free. This is appalling. Shoddy, cheap manufacturing from Leisure and Beko.

yet another cooker breakdown

yet another cooker breakdown. Engineer came out to look then a week to order the parts, no use of the Fan oven then the repair date was altered further delays so no cooking using Fan oven, Engineer came and low and behold it even worse with a loud screeching noise and smell of burning had to switch whole lot off at the wall. Have to wait another 2 weeks just for another visit meanwhile no cooking at all ! keep away from!do not buy! do way to speak to management.

When we went to buy a cooker

When we went to buy a cooker, the gentleman in the shop was friendly and very helpful. He explained the merits of the various models, but at no time did we feel any pressure to buy. We chose the cooker which seemed right for us, it was delivered on time by a two man team who were efficient and pleasant. All in all, we had a good experience purchasing our new cooker and are pleased with it.

Purchase was fine the delivery was a nightmare, I reviewed at the time and was ignored when my husband spoke to someone they accused my of lying. The guys were annoyed that I asked them to unpack the cooker, I had to stop them at one point as they had the cooker at such an angle that the door opened, luckily no damage, they had me pulling the packaging from underneath as they held the cooker, it was a disaster, then instead of taking the packaging away dumped the rubbish in a skip in our drive that belonged to our neighbours.
