its a strong rat/mouse trap in an opaque box it requires a strong hand to set it once its set the red handle of the trap is visible so you dont need to open the box to see if its been activated entry and exit offset from the trap, so very safe for cats or dogs or little humans best of the three i bought birds will still get trapped sadly
