Lexisnexis has been very difficult to deal with. I have 2 violations on my driving report that are not mine but are my former spouse who has the same name other than middle name. My car insurance company is having a field day with this as they want to almost double my premium. I opted out of their services hoping this will help. Would be nice to talk to a live person instead of a website.
No Flexibility Once You’re Under Contract
LexisNexis has been extremely frustrating to deal.
We unintentionally rolled into an auto-renewal while transitioning platforms and immediately tried to work with them in good faith to find a reasonable solution. There was ZERO flexibility — no ability to cancel, no buyout, no meaningful adjustment.
Once you’re locked into the contract, there’s no willingness to work with you, even when the product is no longer being used.
I understand agreements are binding, but most reputable vendors will at least try to find a practical resolution. That wasn’t our experience here.
Proceed with caution and pay very close attention to the auto-renewal terms — they matter more than you think.
Genuenly Trash
Absolute Terrible company i wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

As a lawyer I am ashamed that I let Lexis Nexis bait and switch me after I went to them for a research platform. The "term" has four years, broken down by year. I was told I could cancel 30 days before the term, and I asked about each subsection and was told yes, I could cancel with 30 days' notice before each year in the term. Not true and they will not work with me. I will NEVER use them again.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. My insurance went up because they said I had a safety violation. I don’t even have any tickets at all and then when you try to call the company you can’t get anyone. This company is a scam and it’s causing my insurance to go up.

I've spent an hour trying to order a product from them. I can't order online. The website says call. No answer--not available. What kind of company makes it hard to order products?
We are currently seeking legal counsel…
We are currently seeking legal counsel regarding the issues we've encountered. LexisNexis acquires individuals' information from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), or potentially the DMV provides it to them; regardless, insurance companies utilize LexisNexis data to determine automobile insurance rates. My wife was involved in an automobile accident for which she was not at fault. There were no claims, no injuries, and no damages reported. Subsequently, our insurance premium increased from $900 to $1500 bi-annually. Upon contacting our insurance provider for clarification, we were advised to dispute the incident with LexisNexis to have it removed from their report, which would then impact our premium. This occurred two months ago, and we have yet to receive a response regarding this matter. We perceive this situation as fundamentally unjust. We believe this constitutes an exploitative practice, and we fully intend to engage legal representation to explore the possibility of initiating a class-action lawsuit on behalf of all individuals similarly affected. It is illogical for our premiums to escalate from $900 to $1500 bi-annually without any legitimate basis. Attempts to dispute this have been unsuccessful, as we have been unable to reach a representative, and our calls and emails have gone unanswered. Consequently, we are now pursuing direct action to resolve this issue.
LexisNexis Fradulent Information Online Reports
I contacted LexisNexis to get a copy of my consumer report, and could not believe the false information that is in their files. Where in the heck do they get this information? To tell the truth, they get it from third parties, and the Credit Bureaus that I know of, and it should be illegal for anyone to have our SS# because this follows you to death, and was never supposed to get in the hands of crooked companies like LexisNexis and others. My report has my gender wrong, my addresses wrong, phone numbers, and names. I have been a victim of Identity theft and see emails that are not mine on my report. I will fight them and even take them to court before I allow a company to do this to me, and another thing, why in the world are we given our sensitive information to foreigners anyway? That should be against the law. Someone was trying to use my information in Canada, and found out it's on the dark web, God forbid my information has been breached with Trans Union, every big-name company you can think of, even my job, so there is no privacy whatsoever.
Why do we have to give them one star…
Why do we have to give them one star when they are the worst company in existence? They take peoples problems, amplify them, which allows others to hurt them through their means even further. Lord forbid you need help or information from them. You will be connected to India, and the amount of information to “verify” your account will in fact give them all your personal details just for them to know more, and find a way out of helping you. Even giving you details about yourself. They dont investigate anything that happens to you. Insurance companies, namely Progressive, can give them fraudulent information which they relay to other providers just to do more damage. This group needs to be shut down immediately.

I am very confused because I had never heard of this company before today. I received an email from GEICO Insurance this morning. I had applied for car insurance, and the notice basically said I was being denied coverage because of derogatory credit reporting from NexisLexis. I looked up the company, and everyone who wrote reviews gave it a one-star. From what I read, it seems there's no point in contacting this company, as no one has reached them. My credit score is over 830. I pay all my bills on time and in full. I am 83 years old, and this situation has caused me significant stress.
My question is, why does this company continue to operate and conduct blatantly illegal practices?

Our firm subscribed to LexisNexis AI+…
Our firm subscribed to LexisNexis AI+ in June 2024 after being assured it would serve as a primary, transformative legal AI tool. Instead, it has proven operationally insufficient, unreliable, and dangerously inaccurate.
Lexis AI repeatedly produced non-existent case law (hallucinations), forcing attorneys to manually verify every citation. Its legal analysis is shallow, discovery and drafting tools are far inferior to smaller platforms, and it cannot meet the needs of a multi-practice law firm. Despite its premium price, the AI functionality is limited, locked inside the Lexis ecosystem, and lacks meaningful automation, drafting, or workflow support.
Most troubling was our recent meeting with LexisNexis management. Despite acknowledging our concerns, we were told there is no option to cancel, downgrade, or reduce costs and that we must continue paying approximately $500 per month until 2028, totaling over $20,000, even though the product does not perform as represented.
This experience reflects excellent marketing but deeply flawed execution, and a business model that prioritizes long-term contractual lock-in over accuracy, transparency, and customer trust. We relied on LexisNexis’ reputation and were profoundly disappointed.
I would strongly caution any law firm, especially new or growing practices, to test carefully and read contracts closely before committing. AI in legal practice must be accurate and trustworthy. This product is not.
We contacted them in good faith and clearly explained that this is a product our firm can no longer benefit from. We informed them that continuing to pay tens of thousands of dollars over multiple years for a tool that provides no meaningful value to our practice is not reasonable or sustainable.
Despite this, LexisNexis rejected our request outright. We were told that we are bound to the contract and will be forced to remain a member and continue paying a very high monthly fee for years, regardless of whether the product is usable or beneficial to our firm.
This approach is unacceptable. Being required to pay tens of thousands of dollars for a product that adds no value, simply because of a long-term contract, places a serious financial burden on a law firm and can genuinely threaten a business’s stability. A deal structured this way, without flexibility, accountability, or acknowledgment of non-performance, is not fair and should concern any professional considering this service.
"alternative scoring" is targeted sexism
LexisNexis "alternative scoring" is targeted at women to charge higher interest rates. Your degree falls off bc you marry--you are uneducated. You own a business, that address is "too many." County sees an issue with your property and correct your value accordingly, another punishment, "property assessed too low." This service is the biggest scam running. "Complicated algorythum" is another word for innuendo and lies.
No investigation
My Father and I have the same name and when he got into an accident it came back on my driving record. My insurance company told me to file a report with lexisnexis. There investigation report said it was accurate. I don’t believe they even investigated into it because if they did they would have got the police report saying it was Sr and not Jr.
Chats
I really liked the case lookup options, but once you need to chat with them it's impossible, even when they CLAIM they have 24-hour chat services!
Unethical content creation, harassment
Inaccurate information, defamation and not accountability. Lexis Nexis is harassing me through my car insurance, consumer loans and student loans. I hope some legal court hold them accountable. I never subscribed to them. They have file with all my information that I never consented to provide, I do not care about third party subscription. Her marketing and content creation it's unethical.
