Poor Service
Well I don't often shop at the farnham location but the service is very poor. I had asked at self service if my basket of goods would fit the small space for weighing. A female staff member said 'you could try and walked off" and clearly didnt want to help. I then decided to queue at the cashier till but had 3 people in front all quite elderly and were also having to wait. The same mature female member of staff walked past me and I said as your not helping customers can you try and get another cashier to another aisle. She shrugged her shoulders and said that's the managers job. I then queued for another 15 mins but still not served. I decided to leave my £60 basket and leave the store. Upon exit I needed a receipt for the vehicle registration machine for parking. I went back to the till and was told I need a manager to get a receipt. This took another 5 mins and I left. I decided to complete this review for future references as the one member of staff and lengthy queue meant I will never shop at that store again
Your car park is a trap and a moneygrab.
I did my shopping for the first time at the Farnham store on 20/08/25. I have just received a £90 penalty charge notice from Parkingeye to my great surprise...My stay in the car park was only 47 minutes. Apparently, I was supposed to enter my vehicle registration into 'the terminal'. It was not clear and obvious what - or where - 'the terminal' was. It was also not signposted well. It is a very confusing system and it is clearly designed to trap your regular customers on purpose - something that made my shopping experience very unpleasant. I have been a regular Lidl customer for years, shopping 1 - 2x/week and none of the other Lidl shops I have ever used had such system. Therefore, I assumed that your parking rules are uniform for all your stores, and that I was allowed to park for 90 minutes without any extra and confusing steps. It is a shame that you treat your customers like this.
Beware of Farnham parking …
Visited Lidl Farnham for the first time on 09/07/2025 & have today received a parking charge even though I stayed for 48 mins only. It seems every Lidl you go there is a different parking rule set to trap the customers. Apparently I had to register my car details via their terminal. I had to wait outside in my car with my dog while my wife went in for shopping. As I didn't go in I wasnt aware of the terminal or see it on the parking notice. I generally enjoy visiting Lidl but their association with Parking eye 👁 is definitely putting customers like me off.
Lidl SHOULD BE ASHAMED
Parking at the Farnham store is too confusing ( apart from the fact that it is not big enough).
Customers, particularly the elderly and disadvantaged, are actually so distressed that they pay unjustified fines

grumpy cashier
I have worked in retail management for forty years and I have never met a more rude lady than the middle aged cashier in Farnham Lidl! When I commented on her surliness saying you don't seem very happy she said had too much to do ! Not a good reflection on the hiring procedures at Lidl at all! Maybe they
hire people with this attitude to persuade customers to use the self service system !

Lidl supply lines and stock levels
It's hugely irritating when lidl do weekly specials and don't put the stock into stores! So many times I have tried to buy something that is advertised in the leaflets and no stock is available! I've been into my local Farnham, Bordon and last night my Farmborough stores to purchase secateurs and not one store has any of the 3 types in the leaflet! When you go in specifically to purchase an item using time and petrol it becomes very annoying!
