Rotten fruit smelled of stinking rotten eggs

I bought some kiwis and on appearance they were fine but once I got home and cut then open they reeked of rotten egg. How is that even possible? Their fruit and veg is absolutely disgusting. How they get away with selling this filth to people is beyond me. Just as well we never ate them or we would have been extremely unwell.
