A horribly frustrating experience, and a badly run, chaotic store
This is based on my experience in Lidl Leven (Fife) today. All tills (only 2 or 3 open) jammed with shoppers with one or more BIG trolleys of merch. The person in front of me unloaded a full trolley onto the conveyor belt, then had the nerve to ask me to remove my few items so she could unload ANOTHER trolley full just out of sight. OK, that's not Lidl's fault but just imagine. There are NO express tills, all the self-service ALL cards-only (a "GENIUS" idea). Today I had cash but am waiting on a new card. Every self-service (about 12 of them) CARDS-ONLY!!!! When I was speaking to the supervisor in the self-service area, a large area, not one machine was being used by the shoppers. It was my worst shopping experience for years. Was told "that's just the way it is" by a supervisor. Won't be going back to LEVEN Lidl ever again. Absolutely abysmal, awful, no management whatsoever. Chaotic and the staff were useless. ZERO stars. There are plenty of other big name retailers including Sainsbury for alternatives to this disgraceful LIDL LEVEN experience. Don't know why I ever bothered going to Lidl LEVEN in the first place. Don't go unless you like being treated like cattle.
