Been using the Lidl store at Tottenham…

Been using the Lidl store at Tottenham Hale retail pk regularly for a few years now, but its turned into a terrible shopping exoerience due to the fact they have no shooping trolleys, you have to use those plastic pull alongs limiting the amount of shopping you can buy especially bulk itens waters etc, its very difficult without a trolley at checkout to pack and then carry it all to the car its a very busy large car park and you cant get near the store sometimes its not a good shopping experience i wont be using again i will try Aldi at Harringey free parking and plenty if Trolleys checked on way home

Overreacting Security Guard and Unhelpful SelfCheckout staff

Bad customer service at Tottenham Hale store of Lidl today. First the girl at the Self-Checkout saw the lemon pack i had picked up and bought had one lemon going off...took it away and asked me to pick one pack on way out, as she said I had to do it myself, there was no-one who could run to get one, since I was still ringing the items through. So I packed everything up and told her I would go to get one and leave from there, she agreed but didnt notify anyone else, so as I walked out with my replacement pack having done a big shop already, this black security guard came running after me asking me for my receipt, even though no alarm had gone off. I had a word with him and asked him for his name, he kept fobbing me off asking me for the receipt. He had a look at it and then said oK and I left. What sheer embarrassment to be faced with, while real shoplifters get away with a lot! Shame on you Lidl for not having good customer relations. I have a good mind to start using Tesco again.

Rotting fresh veg

Some of the foods that Lidl do are excellent, but I'm always hugely disappointed with the fruit and veg. I bought King Edward potatoes yesterday, on opening they were spongy and dehydrated, and the bruises meant that 30% went into the compost, The pineapple was brown to the core. I did have a look at the peppers, but all showed signs of rotting at the tips whilst still on the shelf. The leeks were wet and limp. Previous experience of citrus has been they're rotting by Monday, unlike that from other supermarkets that last at least a week or more.
Still good for some things, but I won't be buying fresh produce from Lidl from now on.
