Went to my local Lidl store in Wembley…

Went to my local Lidl store in Wembley just for 1 item. I used the self-service till but when paying, I mistakenly put my change into the notes slot.
I called over a member of staff who didn't understand what had happened due to his limited English. When the manager eventually came over, he gave me a slow clap, he actually applauded me in the store in front of the other customers! What sort of behaviour is that? Lidl in Wembley Park will never have my custom again.
