I have used this Lidl store for over 10 years now, and recently when at the checkout, the checkout staff have asked me to re-position my trolley, when I am quite happy standing where I am and packing the shopping my way as I find it easier. Today when we visited I had the same experience with the guy on the checkout asked me to re-position my trolley to where I was standing, and I said no I was quite happy with it where it was, he asked again, and I again said I was happy with it where it was. He then said he would get into trouble if I didn’t move the trolley, and it was new rules to which I refused again. He then refused to scan any items through and sat there. So I placed my bags back in the trolley, took the trolley back outside and removed my token and left the shopping on the conveyor with a queue of shoppers behind. I don’t think I will be using this or any other Lidl store again until they re-think their RULES or re train their staff.
