Disgusting Failsworth store- I’ve…
Disgusting Failsworth store- I’ve complained multiple times about the filthy security guard picking his nose and ear and then picking up open foods like fruit and vegetables as he walks round then just throwing them back. The manager, incredibly combative, said “what’s the problem- we handle the fruit, do you have a problem with that as well??”. To which I responded “no, obviously, because you are wearing gloves and presumably trained and employed for that reason. Why is he doing it? And also, if you were picking your own nose and ear first with bare hands then yes! I would complain about you too!!” She had no answer to any of my complaints other than to get combative and sarcastic. Nice staff training Lidl. I won’t be back to any of their stores I found the whole thing an absolute disgrace.
Before they add their little virtue signalling reply below begging me to get in touch with head office because they are so shocked at this isolated incident and so wonderful and committed to customer service- I’ve already called head office to try and get it resolved, and head office did not care one bit. This company is just a bunch of scrotes with marketing.
Zero stars review Stanningley Leeds store. Are you alright none of your dam business. There weren't any of the small trolleys out.
Zero stars review Stanningley Leeds store. Are you alright none of your dam business. There weren't any of the small trolleys out.
Went in as near by with the secuity guard watched. That's very intimating
Had stuff in so went back out that isn't easy to do with the self service tills unable to get out due to it been mandorty for a recepit. Those wheeled trolley aren't sufficient when heavy items.
I'm not hurting myself. So went excuse me just getting a trolley.
Went outside there weren't any small trolleys only big trolleys and the disabled trolleys. So got the disabled trolley.
Rude customer in front that hadn't put the next customer divider down until I got there at the manual tills.
Got to me "Are you alright?" I ignored him as it's none of his business. The prices are hard to read as unable to move the stand with the information on. I've been using the self service tills but not this time. Then I got "Would you like your recepit " I'll have that. It's mandatory for a recepit as the Lidl Plus app doesn't always work.
I checked my recepit it's right but I'm not interested in a belittling chat.
Food is nice but staff and this customer I find rude.
Lidl in Canning Town is unprofessional and unwelcoming to physically challenged and vulnerable people
1. Monday d 29th of June between 9:30 and 10:am I went shopping at Lidl Canning Town branch 19-23 Minnie Baldock E16 1DT.
2. I hard a shocking, horrendous, humiliating unpleasant, unprofessional shopping experience from the security man on duty and the manager on duty made it worse when I called for his intervention.
3. I Purchased among other food items , salmon which they didn’t de-tag and the alarm went off on me ( not the 1st time but the previous occasion wasn’t embarrassing because of the professional way it was handled at security point)
4. I was struggling with my walking stick, my shopping when the this ‘security’ man pounced on me demanding receipt of purchase, as I wasn’t sure whether I printed or not, I then asked to find out from the people on till and they confirmed I paid for my shopping.
5. Before that, this security held me ransom that I couldn’t leave the shop and humiliating in as shoppers were passing by and thinking I was a shop lifter.
6. The drama became insane when I sent for d shop manager who made it worse and humiliating me further. He made me stand and present my case alongside the security.
7..This manager lacked conflict resolution skills, because he kept saying to me to report to customer service, therefore exhibiting his incompetence as a Manager. He was incapable to handle the situation.
8.This store Manager shouted me down, even when I told him his reaction was making me even more uncomfortable.
9.It was not my fault that you didn’t de-tag your salmon which, I paid for, but you punished me the customer for your ours inadequacies as a company and store manager.
10. I got home I tried to speak to customer service, but was unsuccessful, the only lady who picked the call after 30 minutes was impatient and cut me off, I got an automated callback request which I clicked, but no one from Lidl customer office has contacted since Monday the 29th June when this incident happened.
11. I tried many avenues to log in my report but, it was a total waste of time without success.
12. I believe, this shop, manager and security personnel which he claimed wasn’t hired by lidl discriminated against me for my age, disability and gender.
13. I say this because right in my presence a couple had same experience and I watched the same manager and security treat them respectfully.
14. Shopping in lidl of this branch is very rude and unwelcoming to vulnerable people.
15. If I don’t hear from Lidl after this public review, I will seek advice, and advocacy. These 2 people took away my dignity.
Extremely rude uncooperative staff Wilmslow branch
Extremely rude uncooperative staff Wilmslow Cheshire, questioned aggressively about my reason for returning what were obviously substandard items of fruit.
Bude Lidl
Bude Lidl - love it fantastic food, the sausages and meant is really good always a bargain in the middle isle and good overall prices, its clean and friendly and love a freebie from the app - they do run out of apple juice alot which is a shame as we have to go to aldi for it but over all great - now keep those prices down !!!!
Extremely disappointed and disgusted
Extremely disappointed and disgusted, with Lidl East Ham.
Had an accident in their store, due to their poorly placed items on their shelf and as a result of this I got badly hurt to my face/bruised lip.
What made it worse, I had to wait ages for the manager to come and when he made an appearance it was because he came to the shop floor walked straight past me and I was like excuse me. Needless to say he didn’t give a damn and when I showed him the shelf and what had happened due to the poorly placed box he blamed me… got verbally rude and took absolutely no responsibility that this had happened in his store!! I didn’t want anything, I just wanted to make sure they fixed the issue to avoid another person getting hurt like me.
All of the stuff are in their own little world with zero customer service. It’s awful, they truly need training I feel. Manger name is Kamil.
Rude Management
Rude Management
Trying to claim a free bakery item, but the freebie did not come off my bill. The lady on the till questioned whether I had activated the offer and scanned my Lidl plus card. I replied ‘yes’ to both questions. She called her manager over who honestly just seemed like she didn’t want to be at work let alone helping a customer at work.
She asked me again if I had activated the offer and scanned my Lidl plus, again I replied ‘yes’ to both questions. She started scrolling through my phone to see if what I had chosen was a valid item (even though it was literally the picture on the coupon).
Once she had confirmed that it was a valid item, she asked me to move to another till. I don’t think the manager realised how close behind I was following her, because I heard her say to another member of staff ‘she obviously hadn’t activated it, or she just didn’t scan it’. For a third time, I told them that I had both activated the offer and scanned my card to which she said ‘well it wouldn’t have happened for no reason’.
For a manager, her attitude was so rude and judgmental. I didn't say anything else after that because I was in shock at how a simple coupon offer not working, could result in a manager talking to a customer in that way. I’m far from confrontational so the whole situation left me so uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait to get well away from the store.
Cheap food and awful bread
Cheap food , bread baps dry and awful , must admit Tesco is the best store in UK
meat product off
I have just this afternoon bought a packet of beef topside slices with an expiry date of 13072026 from LidL Morden, opened the packet and it reeked and went straight in the bin. Never again!
Absolute Rubbish
Absolute Rubbish. We have shopped at Pollockshaws Lidl for 20 years and reg spend around £120 per week. Fed up with picking up sub standard trolleys that do not steer and today stood for ages waiting on a manned checkout while your staff were helping self checkouts. If this situation on costcutting at the loyal customers expense continues we will not be back.
⚠️ DANGEROUS INCIDENT AT LIDL HACKBRIDGE…
⚠️ DANGEROUS INCIDENT AT LIDL HACKBRIDGE ⚠️
I am absolutely shocked and appalled by what just happened to me at the Lidl Hackbridge store (Store No: 1708) today, 3rd July at 4:30 PM.
As I went to grab a trolley basket at the entrance, my left hand was cut and started bleeding because a sharp needle from a broken security tag was left stuck inside the basket! I suffered a painful cut right under my fingernail.
While the staff filled out an accident report form and gave me a plaster, this is a massive health and safety hazard. Someone else—or even a child—could have been seriously injured. Lidl needs to do better to ensure their baskets and trolleys are completely safe for customers.
@LidlGB — What are you doing to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else?! 😡 Let this be a warning to anyone shopping at the Hackbridge branch to check their baskets before touching them!

Refund refusal
Bought the wrong pork chops this morning form Lidl WGC and tried to return them in the afternoon. Return and refund refused becase we had not returned them within 20 minutes of purchase. We complained to no avail. Absolute untrustworthy staff as there is no such rule.
Till 0068 today
Till 0068 today. Absolutely zero customer service. Doesn’t take much to at least talk and help with a damaged food item. Not even a replacement offered
Let down by poor stock levels.
Good value but let down by poor stock levels. "Free" and discounted Lidl Plus items invariably not available resulting in a wasted journey.
Disappointing, could be so much better.
Specifically all of the ladies shoes…
Specifically all of the ladies shoes start at a size 4. Why? Everywhere else shops start at a size 3.
Rotten or mouldy produce
I have visited my local Lidl store in Mitcham. Most of their fresh produce in multipacks, such as oranges, peaches, donut peaches, avocados, pears, is about 20% mouldy or rotten. I have never bothered to return any packs when I have discovered this at home. If you sift and try to select a pack that is free from rot or mould, it is such hard work because you would find many packs following this pattern. I can see this in my local store but I am not sure if this is common across the board but all the stores in the UK get their bulk deliveries from their central warehouses so this could be the case with all Lidl stores. I have not noticed this with other major supermarkets in the UK.
Small apples
Small apples. Why sell small apples? If I want tiny apples I'll grow them myself. What is wrong with your purchasing person.

After calling a few week back I had to return to the store to get something quickly, unfortunately…
Wednesday night, store was an absolute mess, cardboard everywhere shelves empty
Managers gazing at the ceiling fans again..
I will never set foot in this store again, I left and went to Asda
Lidl Newhaven Sussex
Lidl Newhaven Sussex
Absolute dump. Not much on the shelves in fact 90% empty 3pm weekday. Dirty and chaotic. No fresh bakery items only loaves. No packed cakes. Broken freezers and the ones that were working were nearly empty. Maybe short staffed but it’s been like it for ages now.
Joke of a shop.
Joke of a shop.. putting alcoholic drinks with the fruit juices (kombucha) .. I don’t drink due to faith and health and went to purchase a healthy drink and didn’t realise and drank some!! Made a complaint and they tried to offer me a measly £10 which I refuted Lidl what are you going to do to put this right? No mention of alcohol on front of drink either. Manager was about as useful as a wet paper bag too.
