I visited Lidl Ashford whist on holiday this last May bank holiday. The shop was fine but when I returned home I found I had a parking fine from Parking Eye. I was not aware that you where required... See more

Lidl Reduced Scam
Be wary they put reduction sticker on items but then they still scan full price at till if you don’t check barcodes. They should put a sticker over barcode but then I suppose people would actually pay less.
Woeful live chat
Woeful live chat, speaking to second advisor after being buttoned by first was helpful, but just sent emails about my complaint. Nothing resolved at all

I love Lidl products really good value…
I love Lidl products really good value great selection. However what i dont love is spending a great deal of money on a weekly family shop, only to have my shopping hurled at me by a, usually, surly, cashier. Struggling to bag my shopping said cashier sits with arms folded. So thank you Lidl I wont be using my voucher on an £80 shop. Its back to Tesco and Morrisons where they are more helpful and pleasant.
Very Poor Customer experience ..
Lidl Customer Service experience has been totally unacceptable...having made initial contact 30.5.26 with all these details supplied as requested... and being passed around since... I have now reluctantly been issued a refund for the item and shelter I purchased also as I couldn't use it without the mower. Really dissatisfied as I was excited and looking forward to using the product. Very Disappointed
West Hendford
West Hendford, Yeovil Lidl. I have ADHD and Aspergers and find shopping really stressful. I was distracted when queueing and didn’t see the red illuminated checkout number. The sales assistant was incredibly rude. Just shouted “excuse me” and pointed to the sign. She certainly needs some training on how to speak to members of the public. Wouldn’t talk to a dog like that. This was witnessed by another customer. This isn't the first time I've experienced aggressive member of staff. Female member of staff who often works near self-service is very verbally aggressive. Sort yourselves out, Lidl Yeovil, you are losing customers. I'd rather pay the extra to get it delivered from another supermarket.

Disappointed with Lidl
Disappointed with Lidl. Air conditioning units showing available online. I was the first customer in the store and there’s none. Manager says they got none delivered, however, 15 minutes before the store opened I see someone who works there walk out with one.
⚠️ Fake stock availability: Untrustworthy, unreliable and entirely unacceptable
I am incredibly frustrated and deeply disappointed by Lidl's complete mismanagement of their online stock checker. Today, the website explicitly showed the Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner as "Available in store now," with a green indicator marking maximum availability at several local branches.
Relying on this "certainty," I made a massive effort to visit two different stores that claimed to have full stock, only to find absolutely nothing on the shelves. When I pressed the store manager for an explanation, I was casually told that the stock "had probably been stolen."
This is not just poor inventory management; it is completely irresponsible. Even if theft occurred, failing to update the system in real-time is a massive failure. As a single parent, I had to drag my 3-month-old baby out of the house in the absolute peak of an intense heatwave, putting both myself and a tiny infant through an immense amount of physical and emotional stress. I only took that risk because Lidl’s website assured me the item was there.
To subject a vulnerable newborn to that kind of extreme heat for a completely false stock update and a lazy excuse about stolen items is disgraceful. Lidl has proven to be entirely untrustworthy, and I have completely lost faith in this company. Avoid relying on their website if you value your time and safety.
disappoining
Lidl is several miles from where live so we tend to use Tesco and Sainbury which are much closer. a week ago we were passing Lidl and so went in. We did a small shop and i was quite impressed, particularly by their in store bakery. i then received an e-mail offering me a pain au choclat free and also a chicken and leek pie. we therefore, in spite of the heat decided to shop there this morning. a few things are cheaper but the range is limited. the two free items were not available and i was offered no alternative or apology which was disappointing. we also wanted still water but they had no still water in the shop of any size. if they offer freebies they need to ensure they are available. i was very disappointed, especially since we travelled several miles to get there, and it will be a long time before i shi=op there again. i would have chosen the shop which is in Porchester but it did not come up on the list and if it is under Portsmouth i have no idea which shop it is as i do not know the geography of the area

Best to avoid!
The short version is that this company doesn't seem to care about it's customers! False advertising, incorrectly reporting items as in stock when they're not and a manager that couldn't care less!
I went over to Lidl Tadley yesterday to ask about stock for the air conditioning units, I was told that they would be delivered this morning and that there was no chance they would be delivered that day. I waited outside Lidl Tadley from 6:20 this morning to ensure that I was first in line to buy one. However the store stated (after they let everyone run around for 5 minutes searching for the AC units) that there's none left, one staff member said that they came in yesterday and are all sold out, then when all of your customers (myself included) asked for a manager, she told us that none arrived, they haven't had any in. That contradicts what the staff member told me yesterday and also what your website says as they still show up as "in stock". I've never been so disappointed in a company/business in all my life.
The manager didn't introduce herself, just came through the door and stared at all of us as if to say "what do you lot want?" And offered no proper explanation or apology for the situation. What terrible and rude service. A complete waste of time!
Weekly Food Promotions
Weekly food promotions used to include Alpenfest on a regular basis, which was great and we always found lots of interesting food items to buy and try. Nowadays Europe seems to be mostly Spain and more Spain, and now and then Italy. Instead we now can buy Korean food (cat or dog flavour pot noodles???) or American food (culinary pinnacle). Off to ALDI!

My pregnant DIL queued for 20 mins at Bristol Rd Gloucester shop to buy air con unit (says in stock on line) to be told they haven't got any!! Where have they all gone?

Difficult to use app
Difficult to use app, you are waited a lot of time creating an account and then you are fined for being there for over 90 minutes. This is typical of a company like lidl who is a stranger to good customer service. Dishonest, do not use this scam

I visited the store on24/06/2026 at 3.30pm to buy some pet treats I waited to pay via the self checkout.
I used a vacant till but found that the items weren't making the usual regerstering beep as I passed and item through.
I assumed therfore that it wasn't registering and asked for assistance.
A very nasty rude and most impolite assistant barked at me,it is working can't you read the screen?.
So although the till was silent it was registering the sale .
Fair enough but was it necessary for the obnoxious attitude of the horrible middle aged bad tempered female assistant to treat customers so curly.
Its about time that lidl gave there staff some training in customer care.
I for one will never shop there again I also observed that the prices were not competitive at all ,I would sooner go to sainsburys and get curious treatment.
Lidl store Tronic bladeless fan Remote control missing
went to my local Lidl store (Lowestoft) to buy a new Tronic bladeless tower fan (TRV 35 A1) plus while there i purchased two small tronic desktop fans (which i'm happy with). but the tower fan states in comes with power socket, lead and a remote control. Sadly there was NO remote control in the box. checked, checked and checked again, all over the tower fan, under the tower fan base, all around the sides, The box and all packaging, but NO remote control. The fan works but just NO remote control. Making me not happy with Lidl right now. And right away i contacted Lidl online where the buck was passed to the German manufacturer. WARNING to all buying from Lidl, check all items are in the box while in store. And I hope Lidl will sort my problem out ASAP for how much I spent in your store today.

I bought a grass trimmer on the 27/03/2025 around 2 weeks ago the guard came flying off and I can’t get it back on again. I have been in contact with Lidl who gave me a ref no 134157941 I replied to there questions and have heard nothing, as for trying to contact them again through Lia a complete shambles, as far as there support system is concerned I would give them ZERO for customer care.Do I take this grass trimmer back as it has a 3 year warranty or what do I do nobody from Lidl will contact me
Need to update their website
Need to update their website.
Looking for a better fan in this heat and checking on their stock checker all stores stated in stock but when I went to the store I was told they were out of stock. This was at two different stores all while the website stated they were still available in stock. Absolutely shocking and pointless journeys made on the hunt for them.
