I used my lidl app at the checkout…

I used my lidl app at the checkout today and it appeared to register but later I found it hadn't. It usually works but coincidently, both times it hasn't worked is when I have been due 10% off my bill. It isn't a huge amount but why does it happen? I have noticed a couple of offers haven't come off at other times but usually OK.
