Just visited Margate store today at 12.55.
Till one was busy (4+ trolleys ) and only self service available.
I only had cash and politely asked the till one cashier asked if another till could be opened.
Abruptly told to join the queue at till one.
Luckily was able to use self service as person I was with paid for me.
Good customer service very lacking.
Won’t be visiting again.

Zero stars. Store closed with no warning. There were five cars within a three minute period having to turn around due to the sudden closure of the store.

Spent £8 on a small joint of beef which was awful! Sinue and fat all hidden by packaging.
I tried using the contact us to complain but “it crashed” no surprise!!

Lidl Thanet Road store is filthy, the blue baskets are filthy the till area is filthy the shelves and fridges are filthy especially the milk area.

I went to James St Lidl York and it is so much cleaner! The blue baskets are clean, the till area is clean and there is more room on the end of the till to pack your shopping the shelves and fridges are clean even the milk area was clean including the metal shelves that transport the milk in. They have a self service area too.

Can lydl Thanet Road buy some new blue baskets and metal shelves for the milk then deep clean the store. Fit some self service tills or completely refurb this store.

It cannot possibly be 5 stars as it suggests on the front door when you come in, more like 3 stars with improvements required.

I bought a bag of Maris Piper potatoes. What a load of rubbish they are. Before peeling the skin was blemished with a few cuts here and there that you might expect. When peeled everyone had big black eyes in them. We have had this before when they had been in frosted conditions. As it is May I would not have expected this. Years ago we used to call potato’s like this “Pig Potatoes “ because they were only fit to feed to the pigs. No wonder there prices are low when selling this rubbish. The old adage comes to mind.
“ Buy cheap buy twice “ stay clear because I certainly will be doing.
