A disappointing experience

Unfortunately, the likelihood of me recommending Lidl to friends or family is now, fairly unlikely.

After many years of contented purchasing from Lidl, I recently attempted to return an item of under £2 in value, which was defective.

For this, I was was treated with rudeness and an unhelpful dismissal from the store manager.

Suffice to say that post, a month, of being notified, Lidl Customer Care responded to me, in more, damage limitation exercise rather than, sincere regret.

It is only now that with a large dose of irony, I can say that the reason that I stopped shopping at Lidl was for a £1.99 item.

Sadly, irony put to one side, the statement is and remains true to this day. That said, fortunately, there are many good, alternative, supermarket chains. Hey ho.

West Ealing New Store Questionable

Went to the new West Ealing Store today for a preview I had to upload their app to get opening special offers instructions were not clear I had to call Customer Services twice to get correct information.
Store a good lay out, no car park so sadly you could not do a weekly or large shop.
Cashier seemed helpful at first with new app gave incorrect information on how much I had to spend to get £5 off held onto my receipt would not call a manager when I eventually spoke to one he said he was too busy!
I eventually paid for my shopping suggested the cashier needed more training he shouted he knew his job it was me! I won’t be going back to this store already lots of negative reviews on Google.
