Some of your offers are not great. And misleading I.e 13.99 for 15 budweisers. Says limited offer as though it's a bargain. Then you go to the beer idle and you can get 20 budweiser for 14.99. That... See more

A small thing can be done to avoid an embarrassing misunderstanding

I am a regular customer from the neighbourhood. Sometimes I am disappointed with certain aspects the way the store is run, nothing is perfect in this world, we just cope with it. But this morning, I was made feeling very humiliated and embarrassed. On some odd occasions, there are boxes of fruits and vegetables on the bench after checkout, there was a sign saying "No waste" or something, therefore I picked up a few items from the boxes which I thought could be added as ingredients in today's cooking. I thought the idea is, since they are quickly perishable, people are welcome to make use of them to avoid wastage of food. This morning, after I checked out from the cashier, I saw three boxes of food there, so I approached them and chose what I thought would be useful. The cashier sitting at the counter called out for my attention, I turned around and she said I had to pay £2 for each box, I said I didn't mind paying the £2 but I only wanted a few items, not the whole box, but she said no, I had to take the whole box. I put the items that I had just picked back into the boxes and I didn't find any sign or note explaining this system. I felt very embarrassed as there were a long queue at the counter and everyone was watching this awkward incident being played out. It feels like I am taking things without paying. If this had been done in a better way, this embarrassment could have been avoided.

Awful

Awful , the manager in Llandudno Junction store who is on the bigger side and bald has a terrible attitude, I am describing him because he didn’t have a name badge on but he barged into me and im pregnant and I said excuse me and he said WHAT and became aggressive, what a horrible experience. I asked the lady Susan who was on the till at the time what the managers name was and she laughed and said she didn’t have to tell me and then started laughing at me with another customer , really shocking staff .I really feel that this kind of person is in the wrong job , I am only sorry I was there alone and not with my husband because he wouldn’t have done it then

I visited Lidl Llandudno junction the store was clean and had a very good layout that allows one to easily find things and move round the store. The shelves were well stocked all the fruit and vegetables were amazing quality for the price, service was reasonably quick once at the checkout.

Then you go to the beer idle and you can get 20 budweiser for 14.99. That's 5 extra beers for £1.00. That's the better deal.
