The staff at Lidl are really extremely and beyond rude especially at the checkout. I left the home in such a good mood because I suffer from anxiety and it takes me a vast amount to get ready and a great effort to leave the home and after leaving Lidl I was in a devastated mood because it effects my emotional health when people are not nice. The staff was very rude at the checkout when there was something wrong and she said to move out of her way and give her space even though there was. She made it as if it was my fault when there was a technical issue. I have not been to Lidl for months as I avoid anything that makes my mental health worse. I usually go to J Sainsburys and I do not mind spending a few extra quids because the staff are helpful. I love Lidl on low prices but not going there. Definitely 5 stars for low prices ! But then J Sainsburys has their own brands which is low too so no competition for me. Definitely, J Sainsburys. I also enjoy the discounted coupons and free treat also veg but I do not think Lidl is on my agenda anymore! PLEASE LIDL TRAIN YOUR STAFF AND BUY THEM SOME SMILES AND HAPPINESS COS LIFE IS SHORT BE KIND AND PLEASE CHECK YOUR GOOGLE MAP REVIEWS FOR THIS PARTICULAR STORE

Avoid lidl baking

On the 19th of February 2024 I had an apple turnover and a maple pecan from the Tottenham Court Road London lidl.
About two hours later when I finished work I took the underground to go home, I fell unconscious, when I woke up I found myself dirty with my vomiting.
I was fortunate that I vomited all the poisonous.
Yesterday the 15th of May 2024 a friend of mine had the same experience, just fell unconscious after having some of the croissant from lidl.
I advise everybody to avoid the lidl baking and morning goods.

Lidl's Frankenchickens Scandal

I have watched the investigation footage regarding the horrific way chickens are treated by Lidl. Chickens deserve to be treated FAR better than this but it seems like Lidl values profit above the welfare of the chickens on their farms.

The chickens live in filthy overcrowded conditions and are suffering totally unnecessarily from injuries, lameness and some appalling skin conditions.

Lidl - you should be utterly ashamed of the appalling and horrific cruelty you are inflicting on these poor defenceless animals. You MUST sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC,) immediately..we're all watching this space to make sure you do and we won't back down until this happens....

I have emailed Lidl Customer Services multiple times regarding this terrible cruelty and am still awaiting a response! Is this how you treat your customers when they start to ask tough questions???
Never mind Lidl - "Big on Quality, Lidl on Price" their new tag line should be Lidl - "Big on Cruelty, Lidl on Nice"

The self service checkout machines at…

The self service checkout machines at the Tottenham Court Road branch are hopeless.
The machines are clearly programmed to waste customers time.
The machine will frequently halt ehen scanning items thus requiring an assistant.
This happens several times during the checkout process.
During busy times a customer can wait up to 10 minutes for an assistant.
The shopping items in question are not age restricted items either.
I always walk out leaving the shopping behind if I'm halted more yhan once.
I then go to the Tesco opposite and shop there with incurring the same time wasting experience.

Appalling

Perhaps, Trading Standards need to look at ‘misrepresentation’ and Trades Description’ in falsely labelling a consumer product in their bakery bought read as‘sourdough’ - it contains yeast?! It categorically cannot be sold as ‘sourdough’. Misleading for consumers. In addition, Aldi do not provide ingredients for bakery products in store, which is a legal requirement. Appalling disregard for consumers and the law.
