Reserved appointment despite being taken in very late!

Visited the St. Thomas Elm st. location of Life Labs as we newly moved to the area. The location was fully staffed with 4 nurses and my husband and I reserved our appointment weeks in advance only to be taken in 18 min LATE past my appointment. My husband was taken in 10 min late. Never experienced this back in the GTA Life labs primarily Oakville locations as we were always taken in within a couple minutes!
The redundancies of making an appointment at this specific location is poorly addressed and not well taken care of by staff. Nobody cares clearly.
Staff is alright/well mannered but as both a working AND full time Mother, which is why I reserve appointments for blood work to keep things moving along in the day, this is sorely under appreciated. Should not exceed that long beyond someones appointment!

Do not order Vitamin D test

I ordered Vitamin D test and got the doctor's form and tested at lifelabs, but cannot obtain my results and no report on Mycarecompass, even more cannot contact the doctor. Totally lose my blood, $65 dollar and time. Do not online order anything at Lifelabs!

I waited in line for 1.5 hours for drop in

I waited in line for 1.5 hours for drop in.
Several of the people in line were elderly and obviously not feeling well. The woman at the front desk very rudely said that we should have made an appointment. If some of us had a month to spare we could have done that. My Dr had only sent me that morning.

Service is efficient when everything…

Service is efficient when everything goes smoothly, but wat times can be unpredictable. Staff are usually professional, but communication about test results could be clearer. Website is functional but not very user-friendly. Average experience overall—does the job, but room for improvement.

Waste of time/low quality services

Useless. Needs better hours, b3tter services, my doctors tells me a can bring samples to them, gives me paperwork for it but no, they claim they dont and that the paperwork is wrong. Not the first time this place has wasted my time. Polite workers thugh, but when service is shoddy politeness doesnt matter.

Giving hands up to staff

It was a crazy busy day they did a good job. Originally i didnt know i had to fast but gave me option to do some of the testing then come back for fasting. The other option was to come back another time and do it all then. My veins don't like to come out and corporate. Staff were very gentle and cautious about that.

Terrible visit

Terrible visit. Despite the appointment I waited for more than 50 minutes. I cant check the results because I don't have the appropriate code the technician was to provide. Health care should not be this poor or complicated.

Mobile Lab Service - Saskatoon, SK

Mobile lab service is supposed to come once a month and we were given a calendar of all the dates to expect them. Calendar said they were coming on May 19th (Victoria Day), they did not show up. Called, no one answers the phone. Phoned for 1 hour and 45 minutes on May 20th before someone answered the phone. They said they do not work stat. holidays. I asked why would they mark a calendar saying they are coming on a stat. holiday when they know they wouldn’t come. They had no plausible explanation and refused to apologize.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at…

Absolutely unacceptable experience at (2065 Finch Ave W, North York, ON M3N 2V7) LifeLabs location.
I had an appointment booked in advance, yet I was still made to wait over 35 minutes — what’s the point of booking if you don’t honor appointments? That was just the start. The staff entered the wrong code, which caused unnecessary delays in generating my payment receipt. In total, I wasted over an hour for what should have been a quick visit.

But the worst part? After all that time, I was told at the front desk that they forgot to take a required blood sample and asked me to go back for another draw. Unbelievable. When I questioned why everything wasn't done properly the first time, the staff — instead of apologizing — responded with arrogance and attitude, asking me if I wanted a refund.

No accountability. No professionalism. No apology. Just wasted time, rude behavior, and complete incompetence.

If you value your time and sanity, avoid this location at all costs. LifeLabs needs to seriously retrain their staff and re-evaluate how they treat patients.

Went to the knightsbridge location in Bramalea on Wednesday May 7th. The nurse drew blood from a vein in my bicep, never had that done before. Later in the evening I worked out. One week later, my arm is still badly bruised.

Incompetence of LifeLabs customer service employees

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with LifeLabs regarding an ongoing issue with a simple yet essential task—sending a fax. Despite repeated confirmations and assurances, the fax containing important medical information was either not sent, sent to the wrong number, or failed to reach the intended recipient altogether.

This level of incompetence is unacceptable, especially from a healthcare service provider where timely communication can directly impact patient care. I have wasted considerable time following up, only to be met with vague responses and no resolution.

I expect a much higher standard of reliability and professionalism. LifeLab should address this systemic issue immediately to prevent further inconvenience to patients and healthcare providers who need to receive the reports in timely manner.

Very good service

Smita from 1371 Neilson Rd, Scarborough did an outstanding customer service. I get fainted during my blood work, knowing I have this condition, Smita took a good care and went above and beyond during my blood test. I'll come back tot his location for my future labs works and excellent service by nurse.

Rude staff at the Wasaga Beach Clinic.

Rude staff at the Wasaga Beach Clinic.
The receptionist was rude and yelled at a client in front of a full waiting room when they told her that they had a booked appointment. The line up was long.
The technician that came into my room to draw blood did not say hello or even look at me. She just sat down and asked for my name and birthdate and started the procedure. No human warmth from the ladies who work here.

Aldergrove branch is Outstanding

Aldergrove branch is Outstanding, employees are friendly and always smiling. Appointments are always on time. I've been to a lot of lifelabs but Aldergrove should be the example of how all lifelabs should be. Thanks Del Joy

Unprofessional, rude lab technician

I just had a multitude of blood work/urinalysis tests done a few weeks ago ordered by my specialist. My family doctor then wanted to give me a requisition for my every 3 month standing order blood work. On this family doctor requisition there were 2 tests that my specialist had not ordered, everything else had already been done through him. When I gave the requisition to the lady at the front desk at Life Labs I explained I already had all tests done a few weeks ago and only needed 2 tests that were new. She was not happy about this and said I had to have every single test done again because it was easier for her (she did not want to go over the previous tests and to see that she only needed to do 2 tests). I explained I could not do urinalysis work because I had not drank any water beforehand not expecting this and was not able to give a sample. She did not care and said I would have to book another appointment for that test (again which I already had done by my specialist ), so now this would be 3 times coming for the same test. I also have very small veins and do not appreciate having multiple tubes of blood taken when only one is necessary. She did not care and said to come another time and gave me my requisition back.
I was so upset I phoned Life Labs contact number, and the customer service rep was very nice and explained that the techs have to follow exactly what is on the requisition. I could understand what she was saying, but at no time did the lab technician I was talking to say anything of this nature, just that it was easier for her to do everything all at once, I still would not be able to have done the urine test. The difference between the 2 people I spoke to was night and day, the tech just saying it was too much work to check what I had had done a few weeks ago to the customer service rep who explained things carefully (although I have had them do this before in same situation).
The lab technician appeared rude to me, didn’t care about my concerns with not being able to leave a sample, and would have to come back a third time. So now I will just forgo the missing tests and wait another 3-6 months when my specialist orders more blood work and coordinate it with this.
What a waste of my time and energy. Plus the tech really appeared to not care at all about what I was saying. I gave one star because the customer service representative was very kind and understanding and explained their rules carefully.
