I am driving an automatic van
I drive an automatic van. Thus have very little control over rev counter, when I need to get to speed. So from standing starts, and wishing to merge and on slip roads to motorways, my revs must go up for safety. This incurs penalties for me. I have gone on the website to look for guanidine on this, as a driver, there's none that I can find. Also in these critical moments, I have thing tell me, which I can not just blank out thanks to having ADHD. So I find it highly distracting, please rethink your product, or give advice to automatic van drivers, who have little control over the rev counter.

Please remember that you are in control of the vehicle and should use your own best judgement to drive safely. Lightfoot does not measure your speed but the efficiency of your driving. There are times where you must drive inefficiently, for example joining a motorway from a slip road or at a roundabout. This is why we set the Elite Driver score at 85% to allow for real world situations. Your device should be positioned just outside of your eyeline, so you only need to glance at it occasionally as you would a speedometer or a satnav when you want to check your progress. If the position of the device is obstructing your view, please inform your manager so that this can be dealt with.

Lightfoot gives scores for driver id and van that is not being used everyday i get scored on someone else's driving. Not good
26/5/25 did not sign in did not drive still got scored.
27/5/25. Between 8am and 10am and 12 and 2 did not drive and signed out still scored

A better way to drive
Being on the Lightfoot system in my opinion makes me a much more careful driver, it makes me think before I pull off at junctions and roundabouts also makes me more aware of speed restrictions, and the better I drive the more I get rewarded

Doesn`t know what a hill is - Dangerous
Doesn`t know what a hill is and I live in a hilly area. Every time I go up a hill, I get penalties. To keep it out of the red you have to drive at 25mph on a long hill on a 60mph road. I have video evidence of getting a penalty at 30mph on a slight hill on a 60mph road.
I can`t join a motorway without getting a penalty and that`s when doing no more than 50-55mph. It keeps telling me to change gear when my car is an automatic. I get penalties all the time for not changing gear in an automatic car. Ridiculous device and Very demoralizing. It is also Very dangerous with the nagging voice and "bing, bing, bing - penalty received" - takes your concentration off the road ahead. It has turned a once pleasurable part of my job into a tyrannical, downgrading nightmare. One regret I do have is, I can`t give it zero stars.
Please don`t put one of your copy and paste patronizing canned replies on this review.
EDIT: There you have it. A canned reply just as I predicted. Ridiculous Orwellian device. Probably designed by someone who throws orange paint on things.

Hi Andy, we know for some drivers it can take some getting used to, but the majority do find that you soon adjust to driving with Lightfoot and only need to look at it on the rare occasion, as the smoother driving style becomes second nature after a while. If you believe the position of your device is making it a distraction, please let your manager know and we can get this sorted, as it should be outside your eyeline so as not to distract from the road.
