Really nice lights, easy to install. Only problem is tha betteries only last a couple of days before they need replacing.

Placed an order at 11.05 on a Sunday morning (when the rest of the world has barely made it out of bed) and was delivered 10.20 the following morning. Free delivery in under 24 hours, with no uplift for express delivery. Remarkable! You can’t ask for better than that.

Amazing service which goes beyond what they publish. I placed an order for an outside wall light at 9:15 in the evening which is 30 minutes after Lighting Direct's published cut off and they still delivered the following morning.

I ordered a VERY expensive bulkhead light.

They charged me £4.16 postage AND PACKAGING

what came was the smallest bulkhead light I have ever seen. On looking back the dimensions are right at the bottom of the page you would seriously struggle to get a normal light bulb in this fitting.

Not only that, the glass has defects. Air bubbles from manufacturing,
The fitting itself looks sturdy. But it’s not even put together. You have to fit the bulb holder yourself.

Completely shocked by the tiny unusable size of this thing. I go onto the returns and they want to charge me £7.50 to return it. Nearly double the original charge which included packaging.

I’ll NEVER shop with these again. It was supposed to be a trial purchase to start using them. But that won’t happen.

Think I’ll be making a bank charge back claim Instead and filling out a trading standards notification through citizens advice!!

Service was absolutely fine with appropriate communications before delivery.
Sadly the product (wired outdoor lighting set) itself fell well below expectation.
The connection wires are made of soft thin plastic and within 3 days have been destroyed by squirrels, birds, etc.
For an outdoor product I would expect robust materials. This is certainly not the case and my purchase is now beyond repair.
Would not recommend.

A mark of a great company is how they act when things go wrong and Lighting Direct made it so easy to resolve an issue I flagged with them. Not only that they did it super quick. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again knowing I can trust them to help if needed.

Not put up the lamp yet it. It was delivered promptly and there was too much packaging- it was well-packaged against damage but then dispatched in a huge box.
The wood on the lamp is real wood not wood effect, unfortunately the way I could tell is because of the splintered end, it had obviously not been sanded smooth. Painted finish was smooth, slightly darker than website images.
Providing it works when we put it up, we'll keep it as my husband doesn't care about this quality of finish and it's going in his office. I would have returned it.

Email communication prior to purchase was painful, like pulling teeth. Was then told “delays are common” with no notion to improve matters.

These are reasonably priced and look great. Ensure you screw the plate in and don't rely solely on the adhesive backing.
If you're prepared to just switch on occasionally (batteries will obviously run out if on permanently) but don't want the cost and hassle of having an electrician wire in permanent lights, these are a great solution. I have 3 up and they add gravitas to an artwork, even when not illuminated.

Prompt delivery of a good, simply designed and sound product.
