I ordered on 1st August and like others, I have been advised that my order has been cancelled and that I will be refunded. It’s 11th August and I still don’t have my refund. There is no explanation as to why the order was cancelled or why it took so long to cancel it. I can only presume that this company has gone into liquidation.
Terrible service. My husband placed a big order. It wasn’t even confirmed. Eventually he got an email saying the courier was expecting it then the next day was told the order was cancelled. No reason as to why. This was 2 weeks after the order was placed and the refund could take a week to 10 days. Absolute joke.
So I placed a fairly large order a few weeks ago, I received confirmation of my delivery date which was supposed to be today. I had not been notified of my delivery time like I had in the past, so I emailed them to enquire what time my order would be delivered today and I got a reply saying they could not fulfil my order and was sending my money back! No explanation as to why they couldn't, no incentive to me ordering again from them, Nothing! Their pies are OK but nothing special, no kidney in the Steak and Kidney and their fruit pies fillings are like jam. But I like to support small English produce companies, so that is why I used them. I do not know if they are going out of business and that is why they could not fulfil my order, but at least have the decency to let me know.
The 1st delivery from Lime tree was a day late and ruined thanks to the couriers. They repeated the order free of charge after providing them with photos as evidence. So far we have tried the mince and lemon and coconut pies. If I could give 11/10 I would brilliant service and beautiful food I will definitely order from them again
Brilliant company. Make very nice pies and cakes. We usuallybuy at spring/summer fayres etc (newbury show etc), but obviously because of CV19 they cant go to these fayres so we buy direct. P&P is a little high especially if you want only a few pies, so we now buy a lot to get the free P&P and restock our freezer. Items come in polystyrene boxes which have gas packs in them to keep them very cold. Never had a issue with delivery yet, and the pies are lovely. Thank you!
