I received a reply from Linkedin…

I received a reply from Linkedin customer service. Does it sound like an "AI" response!? My issue is still unresolved! They've not even properly investigated the issue. I'm unable to post to my own group as owner & admin!

Dear David,
thank you for contacting LinkedIn support. My name is Georgina your LinkedIn contact person.
I'm glad to assist you. I've just received your request. You would like to post content in a group.
If you’re a group member or admin, you can share content in your group’s feed. If your group owner has enabled the post review settings, then the post will only be available after the admin reviews and approves the post.
Your post will only be visible in the group’s homepage and not your feed. Group admins have the access to delete group posts at their discretion. Contact your group admin if your post is deleted.
If you're creating a post within a LinkedIn group, you cannot tag a company (page) or any member who is not a part of the group.
I would also like to inform you that there is a feature that allows group admins to review group posts before they are published. All group admins can approve or deny member posts if this feature is enabled. Group admins can select from three different post review settings for their group:
Review all posts
Only review posts that meet the criteria
No review required
Note: The ability to change the setting to Only review posts that meet the criteria is available only on LinkedIn Desktop website. However, group admins can review pending posts from both LinkedIn mobile app and LinkedIn Desktop website.
Reviewing pending posts
Enabling post review will require admin to approve the posts within 14 days before the post is pending for approval.
Disabling this feature will still require approval for any previous pending posts.
Group members don’t receive notifications when their posts are rejected by admins. We encourage Group admins to message the members and explain the reason for denying their posts and guide them on submitting relevant posts.
I would like to provide you the link to the article Review and approve posts in your LinkedIn group
Here is the link:
I assume that you know who the group admin is. You could send him a quick message and ask him regarding your post if it is pending approval. We always remain at your disposal for support and consult.
Have a nice day!
Best regards

Georgina

Linkedin use withpersona to verify your ID - AVOID

Linkedin now use this co to verify ID's.
Unfortunately withpersona's app based process is useless and can't match your face to any official documents. Now can't log into LinkedIn.
This is another example of a big corporation shooting itself in the foot thus certainly losing many customers in the process. I mean how can you not lose customers if you can't log in - pretty basic stuff !!
I've wasted enough time and effort - I give up

what an absolute joke of a platform

what an absolute joke of a platform. They locked me out of my account out of nowhere, no email, no warning, nothing. I literally just verified, and their big brain move was to instantly restrict my account right after.

Utterly useless

Utterly useless. Nothing loads anymore. Ban all the AI shite and it might unclog your servers. On that topic, I thought the rip-off fees might pay for some better servers. The other thing is that every second post is either suggested or a promotion! There's only one reason I am connected with the people i am, and that i follow the companies that i do!! Because im interested in them, not all the other BS. There's great potential in the market for anyone looking to start a business platform!

Linkedin has serious security issues

Linkedin is a dangerous website. I had an account for over 10 years and it was recently hacked twice in the UK. They asked me to use an authenticator and change my email and passwords after the first attack. Even with all these in place, my account was hacked for a second time a month later, they just blocked my account and nobody did anything to clean it or to investigate the issue. They demanded personal ID documents to unblock it, adding a potential risk to make this available to the hackers, if this was not done by the hackers themselves, and nobody replied to my emails to clarify the situation. Their security and customer support team is awful, they only have one email address, any emails sent from outside are bounced back, and there are no alternative ways to reach them, no telephone number or external chat available either. This attitude shows how little they care about their users and clients, and their security weaknesses are a serious risk both for businesses and professionals. Be very careful with this platform and report them to the cybersecurity authorities without hesitation if you have any security issues.

Use this app but never think of using any card or banking with these scammers... Horrible exp..I blocked my card to exit this scam.

Not the Platform It Claims to Be

I’ve stepped away from LinkedIn for a while and locked my profile down as tightly as their settings allow. Despite that, I still get two emails a week telling me I have a new message or a connection request. Every time I log in, there’s nothing there. Not once.

Normally I’d shrug it off, but then I saw one of their ads proudly displaying their “currently active users” which, in reality, usually just means someone logged in at some point in the last 28 days. That’s when it clicked: these fake notifications aren’t glitches, they’re engagement bait.

And it doesn’t stop there. Even with my profile set to “unviewable,” LinkedIn still claims people are looking at it. How exactly does that work? Either the privacy settings don’t mean what they say, or the platform is manufacturing activity to keep users hooked.

If LinkedIn is truly the essential, career‑boosting platform it claims to be, why does it need to rely on inflated stats, phantom views, and misleading emails? The answer is simple: it’s not about helping you network, it’s about keeping numbers high and shareholders happy.

And if you’re paying for Premium, you might want to ask yourself what you’re actually getting for your money.

LinkedIn customer service is worthless

My accounts have been hacked and I have been trying for months to resolve the issue or to close the accounts. Instead the company continues to work with the hacker to keep the accounts open, despite my sending documentation to verify my identity. Their continued inactivity is allowing the hacker to continue to perpetrate their scam on the innocent.

Terrible service

I needed to create an account to progress with my application for a training program, and the process was absolutely terrible. CAPTcha loops, issues with google account syncing (have you ever heard of good ol' email and password?). It's not worth it for a service that provides no value to the average job seeker.

Viewed Profiles ARE A LIE!!!

Viewed Profiles ARE A LIE!!!

Its COMPLETELY FAKE!

So linked send me an emails says about 12 people viewed my profile (and shows me only 3). The it tells me subscribe to FREE TRIAL to see the remaining (when Trial ends there is a massive charge ofcourse).

After I accept the trial, I cannot view the 12 people that it tells me they viewed my profile (THERE ARE NO 12 PEOPLE THAT VIEW MY PROFILE!!!) It was only the first 3.

IT ONLY TELLS YOU THATS TO SUSBCRIBE!!!

Guess WHAT???

I unsubscribed immediately (and it goes like you will lose access to your currrent trial immediately!.. I am like yes sure i dont care).

AFTER doing that, IT GOES BACK TO SHOW ME 12 HIDDEN PROFILES that view me and if i want to view them I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE!

I know FOR A FACT its a scam because i barely get any view.. maybe 1 to 3 view a month at best. So when it said 12 only in the last few days or so. I thought thats FISHY!

NICE TRY LINKEDIN! NICE TRY!

I hate the fact I have to use it

It's the most inconvenient and hypocritical of social networks. But I have to use it because there are no other alternatives for corporate networking and job searching. And yet, I hope you'll make it more convenient and enjoyable.

The constant bombardment of AI slop…

The constant bombardment of AI slop videos is driving me off the platform. I barely see the posts of the actual people I'm connected with. Just people trying desperately to convince me AI is the future. No matter how many times I tell site I ain't interested, the algorithm keeps pushing AI.
