Despite a "technicality" problem with my recent pension request, which was delaying my payment, the matter was finally sorted to my complete satisfaction. Got to say their staff are incredibly polite on the phone and it was a pleasure dealing with them and getting the matter sorted. Heads up to Nicky mainly for spending time on it and sorting it out. Many thanks

Dealing with Link Group has been…

Dealing with Link Group has been incredibly frustrating. My parents’ shares are managed by them, and over the past three years, we’ve tried to sell most of these, only to face endless obstacles. Missing certificates require costly replacements just to sell shares, and their refusal to provide valuations via email forces you into lengthy phone calls.

On top of that, contacting their team is a nightmare—long automated messages and heavy reliance on postal communication make the process unnecessarily slow and outdated. It feels like they’ve made everything as cumbersome as possible.

If they streamlined their processes to be more efficient and user-friendly, it would make a world of difference. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone.

This company has managed to prevent us…

This company has managed to prevent us from completing the execution of a relative's will by repeatedly losing (or pretending not to know about) forms we've sent them. Of the many less-than-competent share dealing organisations we've come across, they are the worst, and the fact that the will is still awaiting final settlement TWO YEARS after the death of the testator is due in no small measure to them. Steer clear!

Horrendous company

my father is in his nineties and trying to transfer shares. He has spoken to at least 8 or 9 different people who have all given completely inconsistent advice and then disappeared as if they know they are incompetent and hoping the mess will go away. They are now getting him to pay indemnity payments but continuing to get his share amounts mixed up and failing to sort out their confused mess. Absolutely disgraceful. Goodness knows why any decent company uses them to manage their shares.

This company is a complete joke

This company is a complete joke. I check on my portfolio very infrequently and today was one of those infrequent days. I logged on and the website said "There are no holdings for the current user". This is patently wrong unless they have stolen my holdings! So, I will call them tomorrow, go through a painful telephone call all so that they can sort out their mess. Just don't use these people, they are incompetent!

An absolute shambles of an operation

An absolute shambles of an operation. They take a week to answer queries and like many others I am waiting on my money despite being told it was on the way. Someone needs to investigate their practices and they will be making lots of interest from delaying payments once for the FSA. If you don’t have to use go elsewhere and save yourself the frustration

Utterly useless company

Utterly useless company. I have been trying to sell shares in my late Mother's estate. The clowns at Link Group cannot follow simple instructions. They continously send us cheques made payable to the "executors", even after informing them multiple times that the cheques won't be accepted by my bank. Even solicitors hate dealing with them. Stay well well away from them. I would give zero stars if possible.

Link Registrars is the worst company registrar

Link Registrars is by far and away the worst share registrar anywhere.
They create new accounts when one registers additional share purchases, they take months to reply to simple queries, they have unusable voting pages (on SignalShares), they are usually late opening voting but sadly quite a few public companies use them so I assume they must be lower cost.
I would prefer companies would use Equiniti or Computershare for example.

I have posted a review on the Link.eu…

I have posted a review on the Link.eu section, which should probably be here for the U.K. section, regarding lack of facility to have *one* registration, security details and password for all certificated shares held instead of having to register etc each share individually.
Update 19/05/22 see link.eu page regarding new owners Dye & Durham, Canadian firm.

Utterly Incompetent

I was trying to close a nominee account by phone after receiving no response to an email after well over a week . On hold for forty minutes and passed around to four different departments all of which were equally gormless and unhelpful. Why companies would ever choose this bunch of clowns for share schemes is beyond me.

Appalling service - they just lie

I called Link Group on 15 Feb. Called again on 7 March - speaking to an agent called *** to request that my investor code be sent by post. I was assured by the agent on 7 March that this would be actioned - I received no correspondence. I called again 17 March and spoke to **** who assured me that this would be raised manually and marked as urgent and sent by first class post. Now 21 March - still no letter! I have now emailed a formal complaint - and sadly I do not expect a response.

Woeful

Woeful
Just the most woeful, chaotic, old fashioned, disorganised, unhelpful organisation ever. On a par with Equiniti in being useless. How these organisations get away with it is a mystery to me. Appalling. Avoid at all costs. I am losing the will to live dealing with them try to sort out my late Mum's estate.

CROOKS

An absolute disgrace. They took £500 from me without my permission and have not paid it back to me. It has now been over a month, multiple phone calls and emails later and still nothing done. This company is run by financial criminals.

one star is to much for this…

one star is to much for this incompetant company. unfortunately they handle shares on behalf of my employers scheme and as other reviewers have said they are absolutely WOEFUL. They take MONTHS to reply to emails, then dont bother answering the initial question/request. The single most unhelpful company on planet earth. Their nominee business, Link Asset Services! have so many complaints on trustpilot it is a joke - every review repeats the same complaints.
Absolute joke and need to be closed down. I have also registered a complaint with FCA about their appalling service and practise. Why anyone uses them is beyond me. Check out Link Asset Services, their nominee businesses reviews on here and see for yourself.

Have had to complain to the Financial Ombudsman about this company, after they sold my shares in Pennon without my knowledge or permission. They requested four weeks to deal with the matter and I'm still waiting (Sept), after they sold the shares in April!! They don't phone back, or respond to emails, shocking!!

So ANGRY

So ANGRY
I made a complaint two months ago
An acknowledgment was dated on 04/08/2021
The letter says I should receive a response soon but to date I have heard nothing.
No call handlers really follows up on their call; everyones working from home 🏡 busy feeding dogs or making coffee.
I could hear all the background noise
On occasion the call handler was walking around than said there was a problem with the IT system 😡
I felt helpless and annoyed
Their delay in responding and charging me all sorts fee has left me short of cash.
I feel I am entitle to reimbursement for their incompetence
