Let’s stay on the main point: this isn’t about how moulding is sold.
The real issue is transparency,your UX system and you customers service.

On your page it says “2.3–3m”, and both myself and other frame makers naturally assumed the minimum unit is 2m. So the wording is misleading.

Other retailers clearly show fixed length units, which is much more user-friendly.

And you should not take more money than the checkout amount without confirming with the customer first.

Finally, your customer service replies keep shifting the responsibility back to the customer, instead of reflecting on how to improve your system.

We've been using Lion for a long time now, and our experience has been excellent. The frames are cut perfectly and often arrive literally the day after they are ordered. Customer service--so important these days--is responsive and quick, and they pick up almost immediately. A shout out to Julia for helping us navigate our order today. We've ordered many times and never yet had a problem.

After placing an order online was advised that one item was no longer available and would be refunded. After checking banking details, not only did they NOT refund on the item not delivered they also decided to make another payment without my authorisation for what they describe as "rounding up". On the telephone they were just argumentative and when I advised that I would be reporting the fraud to my credit card company I was told that they don't care. Avoid at all costs!

Customer service is very good, We had a few technical problems pinning our framing and Will went out of his way to help us resolve.

I love this company. I've ordered picture framing supplies from a few different suppliers, but Lion is, in my view, far and away the best. They offer a great range and are well stocked. The website is brilliant, but they also produce fully comprehensive and regularly updated printed catalogues, which is so helpful. Delivery is prompt and efficient, and follow-up service for any issues or queries is also excellent. The staff are friendly and knowledgable, and they answer their phones promptly. My only slight criticism is that the minimum order for free delivery is rather high. Otherwise, brilliant.

I purchased a couple of items as Christmas gifts for my wife. The 'Checkout' page specifically asks for any 'Customer Comments', so I wrote: "This is a Christmas present - please no obvious markings on the package".
Imagine my dismay when my wife took delivery of the order earlier. Not only were all the parcels clearly marked with the sender's details, but the main item even had the contents printed on the external packaging.
