The communication with Lisbob team was very friendly and I got pretty much straightforward and clear indications from them regarding how to get the NIF number. I only had to pay for the service fee (which is not much, around EUR 100), and they took care of everything: communication with tax authorities, legal representation, etc. They helped me to get the NIF in just a short timeframe, about 1 week and I received it on email (and I'm not even in Portugal yet).
Highly recommend their services, especially to people who don't have time to go through the hurdle of dealing with public authorities, or who are not relocated to Portugal yet.
