Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the product's quality, noting its robust build and high-grade materials that instill confidence in its security. Many appreciate the thoughtful design features, such as protective coatings that prevent scratches and the overall ease of use. The delivery service is frequently highlighted as prompt and efficient, with many consumers receiving their orders sooner than expected. However, some people mentioned that the lock's weight was more than anticipated, and a few found it challenging to store due to its size. A small number of reviewers also experienced issues with the lock's fit on their motorcycles, despite the "moto" branding, suggesting it might be better suited for bicycles in some cases.

Great lock and great customer service

Great lock and great customer service. The courier was messing me about and Litelok customer service went the extra mile and chased on my behalf to get my lock delivered before a trip. Fast response, great product and great customer service. Recommended.

A brilliant lock for the right motorcycle

A brilliant lock for the right motorcycle
The quality of the lock seems top notch. It is sturdy and having studied the reviews where experts have tried to break/remove the lock as if attempting to steal the bike, I feel certain that the opportunist thief will give up and find an easier target.
Ease of use - or rather which motorcycles will it fit. So far my X3 has been tried on 3 motorcycles:
* My 2016 H-D Road King with allow wheels - it would fit through the holes in one brake disc and around the alloy wheel but the gap in the "spokes" of the alloy are too narrow near the hub for it to pass though both discs. See 1st Video and the photos.
* A 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio with spoked wheels, the lock won't fit through the brake disc in any alignment that allowed it be locked, it did fit round the front tyre but this tyre has over 9,000 miles on it so I can’t say it would fit over a new tyre. See 2nd Video.
* A BMW GS 1250 where the owner reported back that he hadn't been able to get it to fit.
We can report that the X1 Moto will fit the Guzzi and the BMW going through both discs on each bike, so from this I conclude that the X3 lock body has a slightly bigger diameter than the X1. Note: The Guzzi & BMW owners are going to by X1 Motos for their bikes :-)
My advice is find mates that have an X1 or X3 and try before you buy to make sure you have the right one. I recommend getting your bike in the open as you may need to experiment with how it can fit or sometimes how it doesn’t. Or you’ll need to google and find X1/X3 users with the same bike as you.

LiteLok have now created a page where you can see which locks will fit your motorcycle go to the LiteLOK webpage and type fitment into the search

BEST LOCK --- BEST COMPANY

Many points made my experience great. The website is easy to navigate, and the selection of the right lock for your needs is very well explained. LITELOK is the world leader in keeping your bike safe: motor or pedal. It is completely worth the investment, and I would not hesitate to buy from this company as they are excellent to deal with. If you are worried about your bike being stolen, then this is the BEST solution on the planet.

Perfect for locking up your bike

Perfect for locking up your bike. Defiantly a very well engineered product. Keys, locking mechanism, and the material itself is absolutely solid. Only downside to this, it's just not big / long enough to physically lock it to a floor anchor or another bike, my front bike tyre is wider than the D loop. Litelock, please design and manufacture a bigger product than the X3. I had to purchase two locks ( and lets be honest here, they ain't cheap ) but still the best product by a mile on the market. But after doing my homework.......the little thief's can use it as a lifting device to help them take your pride n joys. I would much prefer to have my bike secured to the concrete. However.........my advice is that you can manipulate the D loop on your wheels to make it a little more tricky for them to just to lift it up. But still immobilises it, It just takes a little more time to lock and secure it, but will give the consumer a little more piece of mind when left unattended. Again, well constructed, please do more research on larger motorcycles tyres and wheels to accommodate bigger bikes please."

Everything about this lock screams…QUALITY

Everything about this lock screams quality. The feel and heft of it. They key itself. The feel when the key inserted and turned. It’s smooth. No herky jerky motion. The neoprene sleeve. A thief spots that lock and unless she/he has hours to grind through it they will win out of luck. Any thief will skip this one and find an easier lock to crack

Saved my bike

think this lock may have saved my bike. Last week I got a movement alert on my phone; when I came home from work the bike was still in the bike shed, and I assumed Storm Dave had triggered the sensor. Today I took the bike out to fit the X1 tactical mount and noticed cuts on the lock looks like someone tried to steal it.

The superman of bike locks

I have been waiting months for a certain bundle to come in stock, so I purchased the Litelok mini X1 as a temporary solution and so far it has felt secure and locked my bike when needed it is smaller but can do the job. Worth buying if you're nipping out.

Unfit for purpose.

Not fit for purpose.
I purchased an X1 for the purpose of touring. However I find that the X1 and other Litelok products are not compatible with most large motorcycles. Basically, anything with a 120+ front wheel. I would say that is 90% of all motorcycles over 600 cc. I would warn others that these locks are only compatible with bikes with skinny 21" front wheels like a Tiger 900. Litelok are fully aware of this issue but choose not to address, or warn customers. Even its latest product claims to be "bigger" It's not! It's longer. £169.99 for a product that will only fit through an easily cut spoke or disc. It won't even fit on my RE 450 Guerrilla. It's no good producing a quality product if it won't fit the task that it is intended for. Avoid if you have anything with a 120+ wheel

Purchased a bicycle lock for a motorcycle! X1 “moto”

Purchased a Litelok X1 “moto” for my Kawasaki ZZR1400 after seeing several social media ads showing the lock easily sliding over various motorcycle tyre and rims

Upon delivery it seemed like a great product *FOR A BICYCLE* as it wasn’t wide enough to fit over my motorcycles tyres as seen in all their ads, the only way of using it on my bike is over a single spoke, a thief would grinder through this spoke in seconds making the lock pretty pointless

I’ve seen some motorbikes with gaps big enough on brake disks (rotors) or hubs for the U lock to slide through BUT the fact remains that LITELOK is fundamentally a bicycle lock business not motorcycle focussed

Upon further research I discovered that the X1 “moto” is exactly the same product as the X1 bicycle lock, the “moto” tag is simply added as a crafty sales ploy to market this bicycle lock to motorcycle owners

Similarly there’s a LITELOK X3 and an X3 “moto” which are the exact same bicycle lock, no design change, just added “moto” tag to coax motorcyclists into buying the bicycle lock that may or may not fit securely on their wheels

I posted comments on several LITELOK social media ads suggesting they should actually design a motorcycle specific product with a wider hasp, their feedback was curt and dismissive, eventually they blocked me from commenting on their Facebook page, very shoddy attitude to a customer who feels mislead by their crafty marketing

I have uploaded a video review on YouTube showing my dissatisfaction and demonstrating how this bicycle lock doesn’t fit my motorcycle despite its “moto” branding

Reply from LITELOK®

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review — we're genuinely sorry to hear the X1 didn't work for your ZZR1400, and we understand how frustrating that must have been.

We want to address a few points raised here as honestly as we can.

Firstly, to say that LITELOK is a bicycle lock business is highly inaccurate. A significant proportion of our business is motorcycle locks, a large part of our marketing is aimed at motorcyclists, and we maintain an excellent reputation among motorcyclists around the UK and the world.

On the 'Moto' naming: this isn't a marketing ploy. We use it simply to separate our motorcycle and bicycle listings on our website, so motorcyclists see motorcycle-specific imagery and context rather than bicycle photography. The lock itself is the same — and that's intentional. Our Barronium® armour performs equally well whether it's protecting a bicycle or a motorcycle. What varies is fitment, and we're fully aware that not every lock fits every bike.

That's exactly why we go further than most to help customers check before they buy. Every product page shows full specifications and dimensions, and we offer a free printable sizing template so you can physically hold the lock's shape against your wheel or disc before ordering. We're sorry if these resources weren't prominent enough for you.

We've also recently launched a Bike Fitment Tool on our website (litelok.com/fit), which shows hundreds of real motorcyclists using our locks on their specific bikes. It's designed precisely for situations like this — so riders can see whether a lock is likely to work for their model before committing.

If none of our current range fits your bike, we'd much rather you return it than keep something that doesn't work for you. Our 30-day no-questions-asked returns policy is there for exactly this reason, and if you haven't already made use of it, please reach out to us directly at hello@litelok.com and we'll sort it.

We hope the fitment tool proves useful to other riders in future, and we're committed to continuing to improve how we help motorcyclists make the right call.
