Disappointing and rude cancellation but good classes
Classes for 2-3 year olds are fantastic in Leyton. The coach and his assistant coaches help even nervous children get comfortable and focus throughout the session (even though parent involvement throughout is a must!)
Disappointingly the organisation’s cancellation policy and customer services need overhauling from the top.
Despite stating in their online terms and conditions cancellation before the next block of payments can be done by email, I got a response stating I could not cancel without waiting for a separate link to a form and that cancellation would not be effected unless that form was completed.
Whether the policy or the terms and conditions not aligning was poorly considered and could have been better presented, I got an earful from their office manager for stating their policy was against their own terms and conditions and that I would not accept further payment being taken from my card and that I wanted my card details removed from their systems.
I didn’t appreciate someone not understanding their own policies and process. I didn’t appreciate being held hostage based on a new process being presented to me having already complied with the first. I didn’t appreciate then being spoken down to by their office manager for taking issue by stating my consumer and data protection rights.
The office manager just needed to apologise for the oversight and give me comfort they would cancel my membership and not take further payment.
Rude and disappointing so won’t be back anytime soon, which is a shame.
