Lorena Garcia is a scammer

If you want more confirmation of my story, just look at the Google Maps page of LIV Realty Medellin. It's full of people calling it a scam.

The scam they pull is the following:

Expats come to LIV Realty Medellin for housing. Expats are a vulnerable group as they usually are only in Colombia for 3-12 months, don't know the language or legal system.

Lorena Garcia (founder of LIV) takes advantage of this by scamming people out of extra money and not giving back the deposits. Sometimes she does this voor thousands of dollars.

My experience was that she lied about extra water / electricity costs. Then she tried to get me to pay more (even though I wasn't home that much so I knew it was untrue). When I got proof through the company that she was lying to me, she pretended like nothing happened.

She also didn't refund my deposit with the reason it's "not clean". That's a $500+ charge for just cleaning in Colombia? That would be okay if the house was delivered to me clean, but it was already disgusting on delivery and I left it much cleaner.

There were other issues but these were the worst.

There are many others with the simular experiences. Save yourself a lot of headache and don't do business with them.
