The tour of Peru with extensions in Brazil and Argentina was excellent value. The tours and hotels were of a high standard. For the majority of the trip, we had a guide and driver to ourselves.

Very well organised tour with extremely knowledgeable and helpful guides at all locations.

We went to Ecuador, with an overnight stay in Belvedere Cloud Forest and an 8 day visit to the Galapagos on board Archipel One.
From start to finish, Llama Travel and their travel colleagues in Ecuador were exceptional in their service. The whole trip ran like clockwork and we were looked after with attention to detail that was above expectations.
We would thoroughly recommend this trip and are still reliving it through our photos of the amazing wildlife. We even saw a spectacled bear and fed hummingbirds from our hands in the cloud forest. On the Galápagos, we were amazed at how unphased the animals were by our presence. We particularly enjoyed the snorkeling, including with turtles, sea lions and various species of shark. It was a very memorable moment when a group of hammerhead sharks swam beneath me!
Thank you Llama Travel for such a special trip of a lifetime. If we get the chance, we will return!

We choose Llama specially as a Small group tour provider but we had 28 !. The group were divided most of the time but some walks/ excursions were 22 or 28. The transport provided had poor AC and a non English speaking driver with no Llama Rep. A 4 hour trip was 9 hours due to long running road works and no advance warning or water.

My wife and I have just returned from 25 days touring S.E. Asia. Our 2nd holiday with Llama. Both have been outstanding.
We travelled to 4 countries with 8 flights in total, 9 hotels, 6 tour guides. It was seamless from start to finish and everything and everyone were top notch. The Llama "experience" commences from first contact when considering your holiday and I can not praise their team too highly for their professional, knowledgeable, patient, helpful and prompt input. Their holidays also represent great value.
It's almost certainly Sri Lanka for our next " major" holiday and it will be with Llama. They have proved to be exceptional and I thoroughly recommend them without reservation.

We contacted several companies including Llama Travel for a quote for Peruvian Jungle, 5 day Inca Trail, kayaking on Lake Titicaca, and visiting The Galapagos. Llama Travel was not the cheapest but gave the most appropriate schedule.
Our 28 day holiday was BRILLIANT! The experience of a lifetime. From arriving at Lima airport to leaving Quito we were cared for the whole way. Although we had free time for a couple of extra excursions, everything was arranged for us perfectly. The accommodation booked for us was really nice for the whole trip. The only time that there was a problem with transfer flight times, I was informed about it by Llama Travel and the schedule was adjusted without any input by me, everything was sorted.

Our holiday to Perú with Llama Travel was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organised, smooth transfers, great accommodation, and a well-planned itinerary made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Have recently returned from a Cape Town and Garden Route holiday with Llama. And I only have praise for everyone involved in the organisation of the trip. Flights were good, hotels were excellent, excursions were well planned and first class and food was delicious.
And I have to give a special shout-out for our guide Gerry. He was outspoken (in a really nice cheeky way), informative, entertaining, friendly, funny,...... etc.! His knowledge of flora, fauna and geology was second to none! He really made our holiday and helped us to form a really good bond with everyone in our group. Do I have anything negative to say? Hardly! If I wanted to be really picky I'd say that the hotels we stayed at were so good that we would have liked to spend a little more time in them! And I'm not even talking about the upgrade package!
All in all a really good experience!

Travelled with this Company twice. First time to Peru and secondly to Kenya, can't fault them on either occasion. Their staff are extremely friendly, punctual, professional and always smiling. When arriving at a foreign airport such a relief to see their Sign "Llama Travel". The Accommodations provided are as advertised. The food in both countries was excellent and the experience offered was above expectations on both occasions. Highly recommend this Company

Everything was first rate: the booking procedure and support, travel arrangements, accommodation, tour guide, the itinerary.

We have just done the Grand Tour of Peru, its our first time with Llama travel and also in South America. Both Llama and Peru far exceeded our expectations.
From my first enquiry onwards Llama were excellent, everything ran exceptionally smoothly, communication was great, we were provided a lot of pre tour information which was very helpful.
Once in Peru the timetable ran without a hitch, all the guides and transportation were there when we expected and both guides and transport were of a very high standard. The guides spoke very good English, were easy to understand and their knowledge was exceptional.
All the hotels were of a high standard and in good locations.
The tour had a good mix of activity and 'down time' so we got to see everything we wanted, we were not rushed at places and also had enough relaxation time.
The tour had the ability to be flexible (you can add in excursions, extra days or finish the tour when you wanted) it gave us the flexibility to tailor it to our needs and for seasoned travellers like us it gave us the freedom we needed whilst also taking the stress out of organising all the details. The groups numbers were perfect, no big groups and no following tour guides with flags or wearing lanyards with our names on in this tour!
The price was much lower than tours with a 'tour manager' that accompanies you on the whole trip and we felt we had amazing value for money.
I would highly recommend Llama and Peru!

A fascinating tour of Peru - Lima, the Amazon, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Maras, Moray, Misminay, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and Sillustani.
Everything ran smoothly, from the first enquiry to their team in London (very responsive and knowledgeable), all the pick ups and drop offs, flights, trains, coaches and buses to one of their guides seeing us off at Lima to return to London.
All the guides were very knowledgeable, fun and caring. Couldn't ask for more.
My two favourite parts of the journey were the visits to Machu Picchu, and our visit to a local community in Misminay. They told us about their life, cooked a lovely lunch for us, and then put us to work shucking corn! We had a fun time, and they had fun too. It didn't feel like they interacted with tourists very much, which made it a litle special.
Well done everyone at Llama Travel - a great team in the UK and in Peru!

I have just come back from my trip to Peru and had the most amazing and enjoyable experience!
The tour was really well-organised and the guides (especially Ever) were so helpful and informative which made me feel at ease as this was my first time outside of Europe. I felt that I managed to see and learn a lot about Peru's culture, people and history in the short period of time that I was there.
Therefore, I would highly recommend going through Llama Travel when booking your next trip to Peru!

Our family was very happy with the Peruvian holiday, we moved around the country a lot to see everything that we wanted to and Llama travel made it happen and covered all the detail. We moved seven times and not a single pick up or drop off was missed, excellent service from Llama .

Update: The company did contact me via email to explain what had happened (holiday handovers) so someone does care! I have therefore increased my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star.

I contacted this travel company to book a trip to Chile. The original person I was dealing with (George) disappeared on holiday, the replacement said he would deal with my holiday booking. Two weeks’ later I’ve not heard back.

What a waste of time. I’ve now booked my trip to Chile including Easter Island with Mountain Kingdoms.

Just back from Africa where we went from Cape Town to Kruger to Victoria Falls. Amazing holiday exceeded all of our expectations in amazing locations great hotels and the whole holiday went like clock work. From start to finish llama Travel and our consultant Otto were excellent and we have now booked next years trip to Peru through Llama travel as a result

We just got back from the Incas & Conquistadors tour with the flight over the Nazca lines added. We also upgraded the hotels and really good hotels.everyuwent very smoothly we had one hiccup with a delayed internal flight but Llama had a plan B that worked perfectly. We used the Hiram Bingham train for Machu Picchu and this just made the day a perfect unforgettable experience. All the guides are very knowledgeable will definitely use Llama again thinking of Borneo

I have just booked a trip to Peru for next year and very happy with the service I have received. However I am very unhappy with finding out whilst reading the booking conditions that they don’t take a credit card for the balance of the holiday. Most unusual for any company let alone a travel company where extra protection is given by credit card companies.

An amazing tour of Peru that included a magical trip to Machu Picchu. The organisation was faultless and the local guides were passionate and helpful and gave us a real insight into their culture and heritage.
