Worst customer service i have ever seen in my life

We had lost our home keys on 3rd May 2022 and called this (02039061161) number for support and its a 20-25 minutes turnaround service but actually a guy named Paul from Kastreall Group came after 2 hours of calling in and said there was system issue etc... The he said we still need to pay the call out charges of £49 + VAT and quoted us £135 + VAT just to drill the lock and open the door and another £135 + VAT to install a cylinder lock. (total = £383.80) We had a feeling thats a rip off and definitely expensive than the usual but anyway due to our emergency we went ahead with this quote. He suggested he will try and stop the door from double locking and we always use the key to lock the door from the front which will help us going forward and i said yes and we went inside the house and he was working for 10-15 minutes and called me and said all done. When i checked in the door handle was pretty loose and he said he has removed all the springs from both handles to avoid double locking and he showed me how to lock with the key from the front etc... all worked that time expect the door handle which was pretty loose. He went away and then we tried locking our door from the front and it was working with door handle lift without putting the key in and thats not we expected. Called him again and he came and removed and the lock and redded and said all good now. we checked again in some time the problem reoccured and we thought of at least fixing the door handle back to previous state and forgot about key based door locking so called him for support and he didnt respond for 2 days and then blocked my number. Called him from different number today (6th may) but picked up and said i am bothering him etc and thats why blocked the number and for proper key based locking he has to change the gear system and its gonna cost me £900 + VAT etc and i told him i dont that just come back and fix the handle (the springs you removed from it) and he said i have to pay him call out charges + £100 for fixing this otherwise he is not going to come. When i called the local-emergency-locksmith.co.uk - 02039061161 team they were not ready to talk and said just email them to raise complaints but no one is responding so far. I even tried to call kastreall group directly (02036913158) but going to voice mail and emailed them but no response from them so far. I totally frustrated with this service and job was incomplete so would like to warn people out there just in case. Also kastreall group not responding back to my insurance provider emails to confirm the cause of damage (which is lost keys for my property) to claim my insurance. Any one from Kastreall group can you at least take a look at my insurance provider email and confirm the reason to replace my door lock? Be aware, Never ever use this local emergency locksmith company even when you are in emergency.

REPORTED THIS COMPANY TO THE POLICE

I was in trouble and needed a locksmith. I tried 5 other companies before this one. When I checked the web site it says response time 30 minutes. Takes cash or bank card. When I phoned I was told the locksmith would be with me in 30 minutes. After 30 a guy phoned and said he would be another hour. After that he phoned again and said another 30 minutes. This did not live up to the promise on the web site. When he finally turned up over 2 hours after my call it was pouring with rain and I was getting socked. I needed the padlock cut from my garage as I had locked the keys in the car. He first of all said it would cost £240. When challenged he dropped it to £140. Took him 30 seconds to cut the lock off. He then used intimidation to get the money from me. I had no cash. He would not take a card. He said I had to do a Bank transfer, which I did reluctantly as he had entered the house when I unlocked the door. I was so frightened as he stood over me and I made the payment but he then told me that was with VAT. He charged me £178.85 then without my permission he took a photo of my Bank details from the screen. I got him out of the house, then phoned my Bank and told them what had happened. They said I had been scammed. Not only that they told me to report him to the Police which I did. I will also report him to Trading Standards. I emailed the company - as with other customers no reply. The receptionist wouldn't even give me the Manager's surname when asked just put the phone down. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL - IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.

MASSIVELY OVERCHARGED

MASSIVELY OVERCHARGED - £270!! I was told to look away after he "couldn't pick the lock". It was 1:30 in the morning so I didn't want any drilling noise. He was there for 5 minutes in total, so what am I being charged for???

Not only that, they won't respond to me email complaint either.

Be warned

Be warned. Do NOT use this company. Rip off merchants. Said they would be there in 20 mins and would cost £49. Took over an hour to get there and when they arrived they said it would cost £389! When challenged they started to drop their price and when I refused to pay, they charged the £49 anyway. Please DO not use - you will be ripped off!

Disgusting service and charge

I was locked out of my home last Sunday evening. I contacted Local Emergency Locksmith and was told a technician would be on site within 25 - 30 minutes. After an hour had passed, I phoned again and was told the technician is on his way. He arrived after about 90 minutes. He could clearly see I was vulnerable in that I was wearing just shorts (I had stepped outside to throw rubbish in the bin when the front door became locked) and was freezing cold. He looked at my lock and his exact words were "this is a very secure lock which I will have to spend time picking" and it will cost £220 + £79 for the call-out fee. I was in shock but told him to go-ahead as I was desperate to get out of the cold. It took the technician no more than 15 seconds to open the door. I was aghast at how quick it took him as from the way he spoke I was expecting him to be working for a considerable time. He then gave me an invoice for £358 (including VAT). The total time he was at me was less than five minutes. I signed the invoice so cannot demand a reduction in the fee but I do feel I have been completely ripped off. Surely a call-out fee includes a certain portion of labour. And to be charged £220 for 15 seconds of work is clearly being taking advantage of. On the Monday morning, I phoned the office and spoke to Jane who told me to send an email to the manager, Jack Harper, which I did. I explained my situation and that I had phoned around other locksmiths on the Monday and they could not believe the charge. I requested he look into the charge and see whether he could reduce it to something fair. I have not received any reply so far, despite sending a follow-up request three days later. Today, which is a week later, I phoned the office and spoke to the receptionist very politely. She told me in a very dismissive manor that they receive hundreds of emails and I must just wait. I asked whether Mr Harper could at least acknowledge receipt of my email by return email. Out of the blue she told me he does not phone any customer back which is strange since I never requested him too. She put the phone down on me. I am very dismayed at not only the service and charge received but also at how rude the receptionist was and Mr Harper ignoring me when I have been an absolute gentleman and acted in good faith. Definitely do not use Local-Emergency-Locksmith.
