I had a very frustrating experience using LocalCoinSwap and wanted to share it so others are aware of potential risks.

I listed a legitimate gift card and was matched with a trader through the platform. During the trade, the process took several hours and the other party repeatedly changed their explanation about the card. Initially the balance appeared to be confirmed, but later they claimed the balance was $0.

I reported the issue to support because the trade used the platform’s escrow system. Unfortunately, I did not receive the outcome or assistance I expected. From my perspective, the situation was not resolved and I did not receive compensation for the loss.

What made this experience particularly disappointing was the lack of clear follow-up or visible action after the report. When using an escrow-based marketplace, users expect disputes like this to be investigated thoroughly and handled in a way that protects both parties.

Because of this experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone using the platform be extremely cautious when trading gift cards and make sure they fully understand the risks involved.

This website used to be wonderful. You could do business on here daily and not have to worry about getting screwed over. However all that has drastically changed!! I have been scammed at least four times in the last few months by different “sellers” and the worst part is when you file a dispute and followed all the rules, local coin swap ALWAYS jus sides with them scammer seller nits like they don’t even read the damn case! I have lost so much money bc of these failed business practices! Enter at your own risk!

LocalCoinSwap behaves like a robbery site. Some trader behaves like their handler. This site should be investigated. Those people should be indicted, punished, put in jail forever.
I traded with account ABC**** in January 2026. This person sent me an about four-minutes video claiming me using a second hand card after less than three minutes. In the less than three minutes time, how could this person have a legitimate about four-minutes video? I reported this to their Support. The Support person appears to be very nice and forwarded my request to related department. One day later however the result is that they are not going to take a look. I DO NOT believe any legitimate business would allow obvious fraud exist.
More interesting is that after one month I logged in again to see if they changed their minds and gave back my fund. They DELETED my trade conversation thread. HAHAHA.

Thse platform is just a scam! I didn't change my password I have it saved on chrome Password and my mac password . and after 1 week i tried to login again and It said wrong credentials ! using the same email + password that are already saved on chrome password manager and I remember it very well ! after contacting them they said we can't reset it for you . this is all for 2000 USDT i kept in my account scammers

A group of scammers they asked me to deposit 28 dollars in trx as a fee to withdraw 43 usdt from my account

The website moderator are a group of scammers i lost 200 usd when i trade gift card for usdt i bought the card myself and send it to the seller he said this card is used , I laughed and told him please don’t scam me ir I will call the moderator he made a dispute before i do it and the moderator closed the dispute in his favour immediately without asking any questions or asking for any proof , If you want trade in this scam website do it as you like but you will regret after losing your money

Terrible UX. You need to calculate the fees yourself and that's incredibly tedious when you're dealing with crypto.

Stupid randomised usernames made me think that someone has already registered with my email.

The Site works excellent for Escrow trading if you abide by the LCS Rules. The Support Staff is also quick to respond

I got scammed. The seller took 30 min to respond and by the time I saw the response they claimed they never received funds even tho an attachment was sent and the administrators agreed and closed the account without giving me a chance to dispute.Awful company.

It's rare in this space to have support come to the right conclusion of a dispute and in favor of a buyer. I was selling $100 gift card and a Gentleman tried saying that the card code was used already. I provided the evidence that I bought the card the evidence of when the card code was used from the company that issued the card and in less than 24 hours I won my dispute and received my cryptocurrency. Buying on their website has been nothing but a pleasure until my one bad seller but in my dispute the support was great and besides that One Bad Apple Alder sellers of Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency have all been great. Much better website and experiences I've had with them then paxful.

The site is shit. Scammers in here. Please avoid it as only one of your transactions will ruin all you have got so far. It might even be the first transaction for some other people.
