Came to fix a lock on our porch door. Basically 10 minutes work. 250 euros. I explained that my landlord in the UK. They said we could pay over the phone. Landlord said would pay in 10 days when was back in the country. Had a very rude phone call from the owner. Calling me 'love' on the phone and demanding payment. Very poor interpersonal skills. Would NOT use again.

Disgraceful treatment from this shower of apes!!! Came from Portmarnock to Navan yesterday & waited 2 & half hours for these gobshites to come. I phoned the boss & he would not pickup. I phoned them & they said van broke down would I wait another hour which I did.
I phoned again twice, no answer or no show. I have nothing by my time only waste of time, money & 2 days & no lock fitted
I am at my wits end. I intend to phone Joe Duffy & highlight them.
I texted the boss & put reviews on Locktec site, but they had not even the decency to ring or apologies or even offer to put lock in.
Disaster of a business & a complete & utter waste of time & money. They should come with a HAZARD warning.
People never use them & never get caught out by these shower of Shaggers.

Do not under any circumstances go near this supplier. My wife had a fitter address a front door locking issue in September - 80e call out charge which is the norm and I have no issue with. But they charged 150e for fitting a simple door latch (roughly 10e for the stock item) - and fitted the latch in 10 minutes, and before quoting the cost of the work. My wife thought the whole side door profile was being replaced. When queried on the severity of the cost, he reduced the price from 280e to 270e and then to 260e, and finally 250e. My wife gave up at this stage!!

When I got home from work and saw all the original parts on the door and just a new latch fitted (10 euro max) I rang and asked to explain the pricing. Was sent round in circles, nobody would answer directly. A farce of a company.

Worse people in the world. My wife was locked in, they said they would be there in 1 hour. Never turned up and switched their phone off. I rang “The Lockman” 085-1014766. They promised to arrive in 2 hours and turned up on time at 20.30. Ken is a great workman. 😀

Phoned to make an appointment- then got a text from a locksmith looking for my address and the issue. After all that no one turned up on the appointed day- no response to my texts. Very poor service.

Disgraceful service. Rang at and was told they would be an hour at the most. 5 hours later still no sign. After lots of calls and them.telling us they will be here in 15 mins and still no show.they started to ignore our calls. An absolute discrace i would definitely not recommend

Absolutely useless. Called and they told me half an hour then I rang an hour later to be met with the rudest person ever telling me they’d be there in 5 minutes. 11 phone calls later they just switched off the phone. I do not understand what you gain from stringing people along. 1 star is actually too much

Avoid at all costs.... late, inefficient, limited knowledge of locks and inexperienced workmen.

My experience of trying to engage a locksmith through Locktec was poor to say the least. My Dad 86yr old had the misfortune to lock himself out of his car. With no spare set of keys i rang locktec on a number of occasions and spoke with Michael. Having be put off for 3 days with the promise of getting the job done I finally texted to see if it could be sorted. No response. Complete waste of time. Why string along a customer and not just say they couldn't fit us in if there busy. Very poor customer service. Ended up getting car towed to garage where car was bought. Job sorted in an hour with 2 new sets of keys!

Used this company for many years to fit locks to our vans, however they have gone to hell in a handcart. We booked for locks to be fitted in December, from 18th December until we closed on 21st December they were coming every day to fit the locks, no show. On return in January, same story, coming every day but never arrived. Whatever has happened to this company in the last 6 months, they need to smarten up because their customer service is now appalling. Last phone call yesterday, he said they would ring back in 10 minutes, still waiting for the call and the locks. Disgraceful customer service especially when we are a repeat !!!!

Thank you Locktec! I cannot be more appreciative of how much you helped me! I locked myself out of my home late at night. I didn't know what to do & rang a couple of locksmiths. Some where asking for mad money and I had to wait over an hour! Locktec had a locksmith to me within 20min. Wonderful locksmith service
