Mr Andy Roche Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

I emailed Mr Andy Roche Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon through his email address on site on 13 April 2025 and absolutely zero response three weeks later, not even an acknowledgment, so absolutely no comms nothing, so I would not trust this man to operate on me. What a waste of time and space. Absolutely avoid. Not recommended.

Exceptional care and outstanding service

Yesterday I attended the clinic for 2 appointments, the first being for an ultrasound guided steroid injection for trochanteric bursitis. I had made Dr Blease and nurse Feli aware that I was needle phobic prior to the procedure and they both were very calming and reassuring from the moment I walked into the room right up to when I left. Dr Blease talked me though the consent and explained what would happen during the procedure and asked if I had any questions before we started which I didn’t. We joked that the end of my tattoo on my hip would be the area that needed injecting and after an ultrasound to confirm Dr Blease was right! He then proceeded to carry out the injection under ultrasound guidance and before I knew it the procedure was over and done with and I felt so relaxed and comfortable during the whole experience the needle phobia didn’t cross my mind once.

After the injection I had an appointment with Mr Justin Coulter who is the MSK podiatrist. I wanted to see him as I have always been a keen runner but picking up injuries despite best efforts to avoid them. This was a very thorough appointment where we discussed my current issues, discussed my footwear for both running and every day, he carried out a foot assessment and gait analysis. He confirmed that I have hypermobility which explains why I have been plagued with so many MSK issues! We discussed the benefits of having insoles to support my heels and arches and have been given some exercises to work on along with some useful tools to help strengthen my core downwards to finally get a quality of life back that I’ve not had for years.

My overall experience of The London Orthopaedic Clinic has been excellent and feel blessed that there is such a great team of healthcare providers who all work closely together to really get the best outcome for their patients! I am glad that I decided to go private rather than via the NHS as we have managed to get diagnosis and treatments without me having to undergo surgery that would have impacted on my life even more.

A huge thank you to everyone at TLOC!

Horrendous experience. Left with an entirely new needless injury.

Horrendous experience. Hip arthroscopy with surgeon Sean Curry who failed to provide me with informed consent. No one should wake up from non-urgent hip surgery with a brand new needless injury. I was left with permanent intimate nerve damage after being crushed against a perineal post which was used as traction during the procedure. I had no idea this post would be used or of its KNOWN risk to cause sexual dysfunction. Immediately after my operation when I asked why I was in excruciating pain he didn't even have the human decency to explain what he'd done to me. During my complaint, Sean Curry, Bupa and The Princess Grace Hospital all gloated that risk of damage from the perineal post was a KNOWN risk, yet none of them thought I as the patient had the right to know pre-operation. I would NEVER have risked my sexual function had I been given the choice, but I wasn't. I was left completely in the dark. I was advised by the hospital that the surgeon would 'consider' warning patients of the risk going forward. Just shocking. It's an ongoing complaint as the surgeon is still refusing to answer questions. Typical medical world response, lie, deny, turn their back. It has been devastating. @myfight2beheard
