This was GREAT theatre. Wonderfully written, with intelligence, imagination and a passion for the subject. The staging and lighting perfectly reflected the simplicity and passion of the production. The acting? Faultless, utterly captivating. The furious energy, pace and delicacy of their performances was wonderful to witness. As Marlow, Ncuti Gatwa dominated, with sexual energy, the beauty of the language, the subtle reveal of love and all the conflicts of personality and societal corruption. So, well done, Edward Bluemel for being the perfect foil as Shakespeare, emerging as a playwright, trying to hold his own and succeeding. A superb example of ensemble playing, as the empathy and irresolvable differences between these two great writers evolves.
Stunning production with impeccable casting
Play wasn’t very good - story is Not Beliievable , and throwing in the so called Sexual Relationship that Marlowe is encouraging with Shakespeare is ridiculous! A silly , not very good play hat is a waste of time!
I thought it was good not great. I enjoyed the theater in proximity to the underground. Some parts were slower than others.
Absolutely incredible show!

Gorgeously done and I wish it was running for longer so I could see it again.
Amazing. My friend and I went in blind and we're very happy we did. Both actors were mesmeric in their delivery, the flip flopping of their flirting, fighting, writing and will they won't they, and how political it was too, as they stand on either side of society, to be safe in such a time or try and live anyways. And the blinding lights at the end to disorient us before we are bustled back on to the streets of London seemed like it was another purposeful part of the play. Amazing show, amazing actors, amazing writing - though please someone tell me what three plays Bluemel referred to right at the end, it is not in the script, I remember he referred to the king of cats (Tybalt) and the ghost at the banquet hall (Macbeth) but there was a third and it is bugging the life out of me that I can not remember it 😭
INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE. What a powerful and magnificent performance! Everyone should see this show.
Amazing show!
This was literally the best show ever. The chemistry, the acting, the sheer artistry. Phenomenal. I’ve seen a lot of shows in my life - this was one of the best. It’s so queer and raw and beautiful. Get yourself to this show immediately.
Superb acting in a pacey, engaging play which would appeal to Shakespeare lovers and Shakespeare sceptics alike. Wonderful!
The two actors were astonishing and the play itself fascinating. Seating a tiny bit cramped but the intimacy makes that worth it
Both actors are absolutely fenomenal! Loved it sooo much!
Fantastic!!!!
It was an outstanding production..The set was wonderful and the chemistry between the 2 leads mesmerising.
Insane chemistry, incredible performances, unbelievable script. Worth every penny
This is a terrific show. My friends and I were spellbound, The script was fascinating, the actors were phenomenally good, the staging was so inventive and the choreography of the actors’ athletic performance was intense. Thank you for a great show.
Comedy. Drama. Intrigue. Romance. All in one neo-Elizabethan story of an up and coming Shakespeare paired with the wild and wildly talent Marlowe to co-write a play during a time of political and religious instability. It’s a two person play which means both actors have a high bar and they leap over that bar. Sometimes literally! Honestly, the play is a workout for both. Fair warning on loud music and noises as well as bright lights for those with some sensory issues. Writing: great! Acting: great! Production: good. Quality vs Price: great!
