Utterly brilliant! Captivating from start to finish.
An incredibly sensitive subject handled with dignity, compassion and appropriate humour. Minnie Driver was excellant and engaged all members of the audience. The theatre was also brilliant, small, intermit and great views of the stage from all round the theatre.
I liked the opportunity to watch Minni Driver on stage. Personally, I didn't enjoy the play itself. It was not about the subject, which I appreciated in itself, it was more about the scrip. It didn't work for me. At the end of the play I was left with a: and so what? What is it the story that you are telling? This is my personal appreciation. MD's performance was however great.
It really was the most brilliant 90 mins. Fantastic script - fantastic off script parts too. Minnie Driver was so natural and absolutely delightful. It stands out as one of the best things I’ve seen.
This play was fantastic. Minnie Drive was excellent in it. It’s such a shame that it’s coming to an end…
Minnie Driver delivered this experience flawlessly. Her interaction with the audience felt effortless and genuine. The subject matter still taboo in many ways, was narrated in a real life, poignant way that was also balanced well between sentiment and pragmatism. Go and see for yourself!
⸻ Every Brilliant Thing is a powerful, uplifting show that celebrates the beauty in life’s small moments. Mille Driver was incredible—authentic, engaging, and deeply moving. A must-see performance.
Brilliant!
This show was amazing. Minnie Driver was incredible and so very talented. The show was poignant and thought provoking. Loved it and could watch it again.
funny and profound
This was an amazing experience considering the seriousness of the subject matter. The relaxed atmosphere was obvious as soon as I arrived at the (beautiful) venue; Minnie Driver and her manager were interacting with the audience to arrange their participation. The story and the performance brought me to tears one minute and then had me laughing out loud the next. I WAS the child that Minnie Driver was depicting in the play and it was performed with truth and sensitivity. The participation of audience members was incredible and Minnie's interaction with them was kind, compassionate and intelligent. I'm so pleased that I travelled to London to see this wonderful play.
This was extraordinary and we absolutely loved it. Mini was really wonderful and it was so unique, funny, poignant, moving and entertaining.
Brilliant play, amazing acting, great skill in using the audience to participate in telling the story. Important to speak about suicide and depression in such an open way. Compassionate, funny, informative and full of heart. Thank you.
Brilliant!
A fantastic play. Minnie Driver was just fantastic the way she brought everything to life, her interaction with the audience. Such a wonderful performance. What a talent.
I had no prior knowledge of the play and only went because a friend wanted to see it, however, it was amazing and Minnie an exceptional actor plays the part with such talent that you are convinced she's X years at each stage of the play. Fabulous.
We went to see this play because it was described as uplifting. That is probably the last adjective I would use to describe it. It was a real downer with the insight of a college sophomore who just completed psych 101 followed by a subscription to Psychology Today. On the positive side, Ms Driver is a compelling actress who got a lot of audience participation which was really the highlight of the play. The theatre itself is stupendous: intimate, modern with no bad seats. The treatment of suicide is pedestrian, simplified and unrealistic. There are a lot of great shows in London and your time and money would be better spent on just about anything else.
This show should run again and again. It was so well done with such love and sensitivity to the subject matter. I particularly applaud the use of both male and female leads to widen its message. As someone who has been affected by suicide and depression, this play hits the bullseye on prevention and cure. A must see!
Great show with an innovative set up and wonderful performance by Minnie Driver. Loved it!!!!
