A striking staging, 'tho not wholly successful - Acts 1 & 2 were promising, Act 3 was a mess. This was a restricted view seat, but at a bargain price (*one fifth* of the top priced tickets), and I missed very little. Thank you, London Theatre Direct!
Great play in a lovely new theatre. Three and a half gruelling hours, with two 15 minute intervals, which I didn’t think I would manage (I’m usually in bed by 9pm!) but it was definitely worth it. Fantastic, intensive performances from all the actors, even though one of the actors was the understudy. Great script, very modern but clearly rooted in the original Ancient Greek. The intervals worked well, just enough time to have some refreshments, use the loo etc, then back to the performance. Definitely a good idea to pre-book your refreshments. So nice to have Ladies toilets with lots of availability (theatre managers have no idea how annoying it is to queue for half an hour for 3 or 4 toilets). Really good auditorium layout, comfy seats, good leg room and well-elevated so that you don’t have a constant view of the back of someone’s head! Would definitely enjoy going to the Bridge Theatre again. And a well-deserved standing ovation for the cast at the end.

This was a stunning performance from all the cast. It was a very powerful and dramatic production. The stage was incredible with the moving cube. Loved it!

Very enjoyable presentation and interpretation of this classic. The themes in it were very contemporary and the performances compelling. The theatre is well laid out if you’ve never been so good views from all quarters. Great location, great story and well acted.
For a 3 hour performance, I was completely engrossed after 20 minutes of getting into it. The acting for the most part was incredible and the set worked perfectly.

Very well acted and compelling drama
I’m still thinking about it and OH MY GOSH Wow! Wow! Wow! The story, the acting, the set, the intensity! I was hooked and found myself frustrated with having an interval - it was like watching a tv show, I wanted the next episode straight away.
